“A different kind of steakhouse experience than most people may expect. The setup is more like a fast-casual or cafeteria-style restaurant rather than a traditional sit-down steakhouse—you order at the counter, grab a table, and the food is brought out. It actually works well if you’re looking for a quicker meal without the long wait of a full-service restaurant.
I ordered the steak medium well, and they cooked it correctly with a nice sear and good flavor. It was seasoned a bit heavier on the salt and pepper than I personally prefer, but it still had a good taste overall. The meal came with a fresh side salad, loaded baked potato, and Texas toast, making it a filling plate and a solid value for San Francisco.
I also tried the chili, which was surprisingly good—hearty, flavorful, and definitely worth adding to the meal. The food looked fresh and came out in a reasonable amount of time.
Overall, Tad’s Steakhouse is a good option if you want a satisfying steak meal in a casual, no-frills environment. While it may not have the atmosphere of a traditional steakhouse, the food quality and convenience make it worth checking out. I’d definitely return.“

“I’ve been coming to Izzy’s for 35 years. This was the first time I’ve been back since the remodel 6 months ago. As usual the steaks and sides were fabulous. However, the four of us ordered several glasses of wine and the “pours” were pathetic! I don’t mind paying top dollar for a glass of wine but I don’t appreciate a 1/4 glass of wine that was barely two sips! Don’t try to pay off your remodel expenses by cheap skating your wine pours! “ABSteak SF was honestly a 5/5 for me. I came in expecting a really good Korean BBQ experience, but it ended up being one of those meals where every course kept getting better. From the moment the cuts started coming out, you could tell the quality was on another level. Everything was fresh, beautifully marbled, and cooked exactly how it should be.
The wagyu pizza was one of the highlights for sure. Super flavorful, rich, and just different in the best way. But the standout of the night was the wagyu ribeye. I don’t say this lightly, but it was the best wagyu ribeye I’ve ever had. The texture, the flavor, the way it melted in your mouth, everything about it was perfect.
The whole experience felt elevated without being too much. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, and the kind of meal you keep thinking about after you leave. Easily one of the best KBBQ spots I’ve been to, and I’d 100% come back. Highly recommend ABSteak SF.“

“Birthday dinner for grandson here is meaningful and nice with large portion and we'll made steak and lobsterz. My sole fish plate is tasty N really well done although the mash is not so smooth . Would prefer the vegetables to be more than just carrot with beans..“
