“We have been here before, roughly 10 years ago. Decided to come back while visiting Ocean Beach and it was just as good as we remembered it to be! Fresh, home made tasting burgers and fries. The portions were also very large for very reasonable prices considering this is SF. Will definitely come back again :)“

“Broad Street Oyster Company was fantastic. Everything we ordered was fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. The salmon was buttery and delicate, and the whole fish was perfectly cooked with a bright, flavorful herb sauce and charred lemon.

And the oysters were excellent too. Unfortunately, I got so excited when they arrived that I completely forgot to take a photo, which probably says everything you need to know.

Great seafood, simple preparations that really let the ingredients shine, and a meal I would happily come back for. Definitely worth a visit.“

“Chowder’s is a solid place to grab a quick seafood meal while exploring Pier 39. Given its location in one of the busiest and most touristy parts of San Francisco, the prices are actually pretty reasonable. You could easily spend a lot more at nearby restaurants without getting a noticeably better meal.

The food itself is pretty good, though I wouldn’t call it exceptional. The clam chowder is creamy, filling, and especially good served in the sourdough bread bowl. The bread soaks up the chowder nicely while still staying chewy around the edges. The seafood tastes fresh enough, portions are decent, and everything comes out fairly quickly.

This is definitely more of a casual tourist stop than a destination restaurant, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It works well when you’re walking around Fisherman’s Wharf and want something warm and satisfying without sitting down for a long meal or spending a fortune.

Overall, Chowder’s delivers what you’d expect: good seafood, reasonable portions, and surprisingly fair prices for Pier 39. It probably won’t be the most memorable meal you have in San Francisco, but it’s convenient, tasty, and worth stopping at if you’re already in the area.“

“This establishment been here, since 80's. Older, kind, unassuming Chinese gentleman. Limited menu. But fries fish and fries or onion rings, fresh when ordered. No seating since Covid. I always have the fish (generous 2 tilapia fillets) Take out only.
Remember to sprinkle the salt yourself, ask for starters sauce, ketchup and malt vinegar, napkins and fork (if gonna eat coleslaw in car). Dont assume, condiments not given, unless you ask.“
