“Came here with a reservation and needed to wait about 5 minutes to get seated. I was sat at the bar in the back which could see into the open part of the kitchen which was fun to watch preparation and plating. I really enjoyed the pancake with mountain yam. I thought the lettuce/greens basket was fresh with good variety. Service was very friendly.“

“Really good experience and good value for money. We went as a family and enjoyed the ritual ofgrilling together. Super professional and friendly service in a genuine (but simple) setting. Quality of food was really good, but no expensive or luxurious cuts - still however good value for money.DO NOT bring clothing you need to wear again as ventilation is really poor and the BBQ smell is strong - you will need to wash!!“

“This is my favorite place to get my Korean food fix in SF. Every time I come, the food is consistently delicious! The staff are friendly but leave you to enjoy your meal. Food comes out quick and fresh and hot! The banchan is plentiful. It takes me two busses or a train and a bus to get here from my house, and it is worth every minute of the journey.“

“I can’t believe I haven’t been here yet and I’ve passed this restaurant about a million times. For a native San Franciscan (40 year resident), something affordable without compromising the flavors and the service is a welcome deal! I’m definitely coming back here. Thanks to my professor and friend from SF State for treating me here.“

“Loved my experience here. I was craving a Sizzling Bibimbap with beef and Manna was closed. Decided to give this place a try and I'm so happy I did. I would highly recommend! Although there were several other tables I was seated right away. Service was quick & efficient. My Bibimbop came out sizzling hot!! I was so impressed because it stayed sizzling for a while even when I started eating it. The rice at the bottom was perfectly crispy without being over-burnt. It was absolutely delicious! Price was also very reasonable. Total came out to $22 with tip. I will definitely be coming back and trying other things on their menu like their stuffed mushrooms.“

“It’s been a while but I’m back. Appreciate all my fans who have been with me for a min on this journey. Today, we ate at umma, a great Korean restaurant. Soon tofu was good. It wasn’t what I’m used to but it was a new flavor and take on soon tofu that I enjoyed. Wow, just wow I have to say about the Korean wings. I got the citrus gochujang and it was amazing. Crunchy and flavorful. Tyeokboki, idk how to spell it tbh but it was alright. I like the ramen they put on top. Overall, great vibes and flavor.“

“Time of review 03/10/2024. The prices are based on time of review~ Hands down my favorite. We go here so much, the owner recognizes me ~Meat: 5 out of 5 ⭐️ $42 a personYou can either order the regular or premium menu. We usually get regular, but have tried the premium. Both are really good. Meat is good and they give you a lot.Sides: 10 out of 5 ⭐️The sides are why I keep coming back. The rice cakes are phenomenal. The corn cheese is superb. Soups are delicious. I’ve tried MANY Korean bbq ayce, Kogi will always be #1 when it comes to the sides.Staff: 5 out of 5 ⭐️Great staff, always changing the grill even before you can ask. Attentive and gets your orders fast. This is a safe pick whenever picking Korean ayce. They get busy during the weekends. They have a special Monday-Thursday, I believe it’s $32 a person.Overall I spent $91 + $10 = $101 for 2 people“

“very fresh meat and banchan. we really enjoyed the premium ayce option ($40pp). service was great. we went for sunday dinner at around 6:30pm and the wait wasn’t too long (~15 minutes). definitely beats the Daeho lines :-)my only complaint is that there are no vents at the tables, so we definitely left reeking of meat and garlic.그리고 한국어로 대하지 못하는것 같아요.. 참고하세요“
