“Positives were the little gem salad and really very delicious porcini ravioli. Margherita pizza was pretty good, maybe needed more cheese and sauce. Orecchiette pasta was very good, but needed maybe some more seasoning and sauce. Our server Kelsey B was excellent. Lovely ambiance and great value. For a small neighborhood restaurant, this place was really a nice dinner! Wish they had real cocktails, but just wine beer and low ABV, which I understand is the case sometimes!“

“Just when I thought I’d tried every sausage in San Francisco, Amsterdam Café in the Tenderloin showed me what REAL sausage glory looks like. 🌭🔥 These beauties are so good they deserve their own fan club. Pair them with a cold beer, and suddenly life makes sense again. 🍻 On top of that, the staff are some of the friendliest humans around—welcoming, funny, and they make you feel like you’ve been part of the Amsterdam Café family forever. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out. Go for the sausages, stay for the people. 5 stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“Really enjoyed our experience at Matterhorn! Being half Swiss, I thought the food was very authentic and brought back a lot of familiar flavors. The cheese fondue was especially delicious—rich, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. A couple of small suggestions: I wish the bread had been cut into cubes, which would have made it easier to dip into the fondue. I also found the music a bit too loud, and it seemed to be almost entirely saxophone music. Some quieter traditional Swiss music would have really added to the atmosphere and made the experience feel even more authentic. Overall, a wonderful meal and a great experience. I'll definitely be back—and next time I'm bringing my Swiss mom!“
