Some friends and I were here for some drinks, then went to the Visit California event that was taking place back on April 11th. It was okay...the entire vibe was stiff and stuffy though; you could tell this was just another atmosphere where the workers and management feel so entitled and "privileged" to work at some expensive prestigious overpriced location, while homeless are sleeping on the street right outside. The inside is nice though! Big open space patio.Anyways, I overheard a little disturbance towards the end of the event; a woman manager, or supervisor, of some sort (who was wearing a rather skimpy cheap black dress from Ross, and a horrible updo hairstyle from the 2000s) was having a heated discussion with a worker (named Del?) who said he was not given a meal break, and had already been working for over 6 hours (which exception to what he thought was supposed to be a typical 10 minute rest break by some socially awkward poor communicator sap named Hernan. Yes, I have good ears lol). The shift was supposed to be an 8- 10 hour shift. Long story short, instead of giving the break, the skimpy cheap dress wearing manager sent him home instead. If this is how they treat temp workers that do them a service working these pretentious events for stuck-up rich snobs, then I don't want to support this place and neither should you. I hope that worker gets his meal break violation payout.

3.5 stars. Cool ambiance. Sat at the martini table. All drinks including table-side martini were great. Food is where things were not great. If I'm paying over $20 for a burger it better be great and if I'm paying $4 for avocado you're setting yourself up for some warranted critique. Sadly, the burger was super salty and the avocado was not ripe and worse, they tried to hide it by thinly slicing it - nah. Waitress couldn't care less when I pointed it out. In general this is a Fidi corp happy hour spot for expense accounts that's best served for drinks only.

Loved the wait staff, and atmosphere. The Spicy Barnes cocktail was amazing, However, I felt the menu had limited items to choose from. We were informed of the Corned beef sandwich being served cold, but it was disappointing, especially having cold fries alongside it... It was as though the order had been sitting out and needed reheating. Overall I would recommend this restaurant for 2 reasons: 1. Spicy Barnes cocktail 2. great service ( kudos to both Tom and Zoey for being exceptional waiters).

A lot of potential here as the space is spectacular & the concept is good, however missed the mark on service & music. We had the martini cart swing by right away, however waited 30 mins for a server to come by with water, despite flagging down multiple people. With regard to atmosphere, they were playing dentist office style music, which really undermined the elevated atmosphere. Hopefully they remediate these elements, as I would like keen to try again.

Holbrook House is one of my preferred go to bar in the Financial District that has great service, drinks, tasty food and wonderful atmosphere. The atrium is big, open, well lite and spacious. In fact many times it will get booked for special events and when the weather is warm the open the large doors for more of an indoor / outdoor feel. The indoor bar itself once you pass through the atrium area is well designed long narrow oval shape that has seating all around. The chairs at the bar side are huge, like the captains chairs that requires some muscle to move. I giggle on how much effort it takes to move them. Holbrook House also has a martini cart that goes around and provides particular service to make you their special martini drink that is a nice flare the business offers. The food menu has been expanded since the opened and enough good choices that gives you a variety of choices. My favorite is their burger, that isn't too big but quite filling. If you haven't been to Holbrook House I suggest giving it a go. The crowd is a good professional crowd, where they can come dressed up and looking nice. I think you won't be disappointed.

Really good looking bar but drinks are average at best. Service was ok but stiff. Would not come here again.

Top shelf experience. Highly recommend the Martini Cart! Staff knows what pairs well together to give the best flavors possible. Music was amazing, DJ went from Dolly Parton to Finesse with zero hesitation and it was dope.

Terrible experience. Waited 45 mins for drinks and then another 45 mins for food and even then some items did not show up. Wait staff were pleasant but overall a long drawn out experience for some mediocre food.

Beautiful venue in FiDi. The martini cart was a nice touch although they didn't have the blue cheese stuffed olives the day we came in for lunch. Everyone was attentive and service was great. Food was delicious!

Our service was very good. We started with the martini cart and ordered the deviled eggs. They were tasty. Our lunch was the salmon salad and the fried chicken sandwich. They both were tasty and ample. My chicken sandwich had a hard spot in it...I mentioned it to the server and without hesitation she informed the chef and comped my meal. Leave room for the beneigets...they are light sugary and the sauce is soooo good. Overall a great experience...I think I'd go back to try the champagne cart and caviar next time.
