“We had a great meal and drinks! The service staff was incredibly nice, fast, and courteous. The fish and chips were great and the beer went perfectly with it. A lively and noisy atmosphere that makes you feel at ease and that you are in a place of friends. I wouldn’t advise for those with hearing difficulties as a conversation would be difficult. We will be back!“

“Haven't been to the neighborhood Irish pub in a while so went to grab lunch on a cloudy Saturday with a friend. The door was closed to keep in the heat but from across the street I thought it might be closed at first and worried it was another business closing in SF. Happily it was just due to the cold temperatures recently and we waited until 2pm for the dinner menu to become available as we watched the many sports games that were on. Ordered the corned beef and cabbage which came with potatoes, carrots, and brown bread. The corned beef fell apart easily in my mouth with a salty sweetness and the cream sauce worked well with all the vegetables. There were many dogs that were taking their owners for walks who came to say hi from a huge Anatolian to a wide bullmastiff to a bichon frise (had to look that one up) who were enjoying the pub. The two bartender/servers were busy but attentive and even the outside tables were filling up as we were leaving since it was starting to get warmer. Will be back for more food, drinks, and sports and to people watch seated outside when the weather gets warmer.“

“Though 3 miles from my apartment, I consider Durty Nelly's to be my neighborhood bar. Irishman Odhran has owned and run the place for many years and has kept all the original charm of the place. It's a friendly place. Come on a Wednesday for Trivia Night and come back on Thursday for Karaoke. You may hear Odhran himself sing - what a treat. The man can sing!“

“I love this place. I live on Union Street, so when this new place showed up, I was high fiving random people on the sidewalks. I went tonight and reminded myself to write a review. Oysters, wings, a cool drink. Casual, cool, friendly. Love this place. Did I mention that? And who doesn't love Johnny Love? We all do. Five thumbs up!“

The Blarney Stone Bar Irish Pub • $
5625 Geary Blvd, San Francisco

“It's Christmas in Killarney and all of the folks at home. Bonus points if you get the bullshit Bing Crosby reference I'm trying to make here. Blarney Stone isn't going to blow you away with their ambiance. It's just not. But you might get one of the best damn pints of Guinness in San Francisco, and arguably outside of Ireland. That's it. That's the review.“
