“12/27/23 Just came here for the cookie butter biscoff shake. From Del Taco website:Creamy vanilla shake blended with Biscoff® Cookie Butter and Biscoff® Cookie Crumbles.I've been wanting to try it for weeks! Yep, it's cookie butter flavor alright! I ordered a regular size and got through half of it with no problem. I'm struggling to finish the rest of it. If you love the taste of cookie butter then I recommend this 10/10. I like it but don't think I would get it too often. 8/10.“

“A staple for many of us that live in the area. Good truck tacos and many other favorites. We stopped there for dinner after a night at the Los Alamitos races. Only downside is there isn't a condiment bar anymore. The peppers, salsa, radishes are all packaged inside the truck. Ended up with a few unused packages that were tossed out.“

The employees were really courteous and helpful and recommended a few items I should try which made ordering an easy choice. We (family of 5) ended up ordering 2 Chinese combo plates and a taco plate (one of each). Took about 15-20 min to make which isn’t too bad considering I didn’t call ahead. The Chinese food was good but the Taco plate was excellent!!! Definitely going back to try out more of the Mexican dishes. Plenty of parking.“

“I stumbled on this place. I was going to go to a different restaurant but the wait was to long and came here instead. I am so happy we came here. The food is so good and drinks are even better. My favorite tacos here are the short rob tacos. My husband tried the pork belly tacos and says they are good but short rib are way better. The menu is simple which I love.“

“Great spot, thanks Yelpers! The mans and I were doing some thrifting in LB and needed a bite and we settled upon this spot and I'm so glad we did. It was the perfect vibe for us. Not crowded and the music wasn't too loud so you can actually hear your date. My boyfriend got the lasagna and it was delicious! I will order this next time. When I think of lasagne I want it to taste like this. And at $16, if also comes with a generous side salad and a side of garlic bread. I got the chicken Marsala ($20) and it came with a generous portion of chicken, sauce, homemade mashed potatoes and the most wonderfully sautéed asparagus. Yum! We will come back here for sure. We had such a lovely meal, we even decided to try the peach cobbler for dessert ($10). It was a big portion that came a la mode. We left happy and full and even had some leftovers. ORDERED: + pollo burrito ($10.50) -- 9/10 some pieces of pollo meat in the burrito gave beefy jerky texture vibes, but other than that it had really good flavor. + bean and cheese burrito ($9.25) -- 10/10 "it was delicious" is what I was told. + iced tea Ran $22 dollars with tip! OVERALL: Prices are reasonable for the portion size. I would like to see consistency in the cooking of their meat. Lastly, I would return again if I were in the area and try other menu items.“

“Went for happy hour with a couple friends and the food was amazing. The chorizo quesadilla and the loaded fries in particular were top notch. The servers were really friendly and attentive and their happy hour is actually a great deal. Got a couple drinks, early dinner, dessert, and an app for under $40 including tip. One thing that wasn't the best - both me and my friend ordered the sangria for our first round and one of us got a ton of wine and the other got a ton of mix. When I asked the Hispanic daytime bartender about it he kind of shrugged it off and said something about it not being mixed thoroughly in the barrel or whatever it is kept in (it's pre-mixed). Our other drinks were good. Place was pretty quiet but we went fairly early (330-ish).“

The people working at the restaurant had a positive attitude when I pull up to pick up my order and helpful explaining my order. “I ordered online from Hippo. The food was good. Salmon seemed a bit old and portion of scoop was too small. I've worked at a Poké restaurant before so I know my portions. Tuna was good and the side topping were not enough. The food itself as a whole is good.“

“This place was fantastic. The food tasted homemade and some of their items were unique in a good way. I loved their Machete and Agua Mineral preparada. The drink was super refreshing. I also tasted the green posole which had nixtamal instead of the canned hominy. I liked that instead of two plain tostadas they were garnished with veggies and refried beans. It makes a big difference in enjoying your pozole. I also sampled my husbands quesadilla which was also delicious. I like that they make their masa based items with fresh masa. It makes a difference over the already, refrigerated, stuff. If there is a complaint it's that you are practically sitting in the kitchen. The dining area is small. It might be best to do take-out. I suspect they will have to move to a bigger location. They hit it out of the park with this place!“

“After running an errand in the area, G's popped up on Yelp and it did not disappoint. Conveniently located in a plaza with plenty of parking, G's was not hard to find. Upon entering, it was plenty busy for 11am on a rainy day (a good sign.) I was pleasantly surprised they offered $1.25 tacos for Taco Tuesday ! In addition, they offer this special on Thursdays and Sundays! I ordered two asada and two al pastor tacos. After ordering, I helped myself to the salsa/condiment bar which had many of the usual suspects (red, green and an avo salsa along with limes.) The tacos came out freshly cooked and were served on heated yellow corn tortillas. The meats were well seasoned and topped with onions, cilantro and red sauce. I've been on a taco crawl all over LA the past few years and these rival some of the best around. While scarfing down my tacos, I was looking over the handwritten whiteboard menu and noticed that they offered complimentary consome. How awesome is that?! This along with the fact I skipped dinner the night before prompted me to order two birria tacos which along with the consome totally hit the spot . Safe to say I will be returning again and again!“

“Came here with a coworker for lunch after glancing at their Yelp. Great reviews assured me I was in for a treat. Absolutely fantastic service. I think the owner was running the restaurant and was so helpful in explaining the menu and food. Very hospitable. I ordered the Birria Crunchwrap (like Taco Bell's but sooo much better). My friend ordered the Flaming Hot Nacho Fries (I think that's what they're called). Servings are massive and my Crunchwrap was loaded with beef Birria. Paired perfectly with the sauce they provide you, a sheet of lemon and the added Lebanese hot sauce from the table. The consume was seasoned well and the whole meal made my tummy happy. My friend's fries were delicious too! Meat was tender and they do not skimp on the toppings. I've already told my coworkers about this place and I know I'll be back to try more of the menu. I definitely want to try some of the Mediterranean/ Lebanese options.“

“I have been coming to Joliza's since they opened and I am pleased to say they still have excellent food and service. Had the beef cheek tacos with an horchata today, but I've tried everything on the menu. Tacos were packed with juicy meat and the horchata was so creamy. The owner topped off my horchata while I was eating, which was so nice. It's little service touches like that that keep me coming back. Tho tbh I think I'd still go back if they were rude because that's how tasty it is.“

“Excellent all around. I have tried just about every taco on the menu and several other items as well. The carnitas and al pastor are my favorites in tacos. I tried the carnitas in a burrito once and it wasn't my favorite. I usually go with the Cali tacos as opposed to the traditional Mexican or the crunchy shell options although variety is good too. I wasn't crazy about the fish tacos, but the shrimp is good. The tamales were a touch expensive for what you get but they're tasty enough. The red sauce is spicier than the green but I think both are good. The red has a smoky flavor like it's chipotle dominant, the green seems more like a good tomatillo salsa with some citrus flavor.“

Decent portions, good quality, tasty, knowledgeable and friendly staff, eco conscious and nice environment. I give them 4 stars. “I really like this small Mexican restaurant. The service is always great. The menu is large, including liquor and beers. Margaritas! We wish the salsa was a bit more spicier but it's freshly made and never leave a drop. We love all the decor inside, small place and clean. The entrees come with plenty of food, so you won't go home hungry. A nice stroll on the pier is worth it afterwards. We chose the chili Verde and huevos rancheros, full of flavor and meat.
