Pros: excellent speedy service, they cook for you, quality meat. Cons: on the pricier side Been here a couple of times and we get consistently good service and quality of meat. We usually get the hodong combo. And it stuffs a family of 3. Highly recommended if you've never been here and want to try something different than an AYCE(all you can eat) bbq. The flow of the restaurant is very efficient. We come in and get seated to a table with ban Chan (Korean side dishes) already at the table. They take your order. The meats come out in under 5 minutes and immediately the servers start cooking your food. Servers are usually readily available with eye contact or a simple wave. So I don't have to shout (Jogiyo- over here!) so it's not as robust as a typical kbbq joint. With their service being so good it's hard to find time to chitchat. The server was constantly coming to our table to cook the meat and will let us know when it's ready. They grill it, cut it into bite sized pieces and done! Ready to eat. Meanwhile if we're low on ban Chan, we can ask him once he visits our table every 5 minutes. A caveat to that is, if you enjoy your meat cooked in a certain way, prepare to chat with the server. For instance my wife enjoys pork belly crispy so once we communicated that to the server he took care of it. Another meat that concerned me was the boneless short ribs in the hodong combo. When the server said it was ready, I noticed that there were some sides to the meat that haven't touched the grill yet. So I cooked it a little more. But overall it was still a very good laid back experience. A pitcher and empty cups are accompanied at your table so you can serve yourself water. I had a Coke which the server never let me go empty. He was always asking if I would like a refill. If I had one complaint. Their kimchi wasn't as good as other Korean places. It was nice and crunchy but It wasn't as savory and was more sour than I expected. We usually clean up the kimchi and ask for seconds but today we couldn't finish the first plate of kimchi. However the service and quality meat more than makes up for it. Can't wait to come again!

This place used to be great. I used to prefer this place even over their sister restaurant Quarters. I've been coming here frequently sometimes even 3 times a week, for over 7 years. Well I went in the other night, and I have been diet so it's been like 3 months since I last came in. I was shocked to see the meat quality when I returned. It was so awful! The brisket was nothing but fat, it had so much yellow trimmings on it. Quite gross. The rib eye and short rib were full of fat as well. I understand that rib eye is a fatty cut but there is a difference between good fatty rib eye and cheap rubbery rib eye. I couldn't believe even the short rib had so much fat trimmings. I mentioned to the waiter and he did nothing to even offer a solution. He simply said that's how the meats were. I called and spoke to the manager and she said I should of told the waiter. I did speak to him but he offered no help and neither did she. She said she would have regional manager calm and so far nothing. Overall I just wanted to express to them the meat quality had really changed. It's not what it used to be. Idk if they're going a cheaper route now since everything is so expensive, but whatever it is this is not it lol. So I will now be visiting TK92 or chubby cattle. Sucks when you have to kick one of your faves to curb because they want to cut corners and buy cheaper meats

Came here for Mother's Day. Place was busy. Great service from when Sasha checked us in and Peter and Josh tag teaming on cooking the food. I love that they come and cook, other places I've been to it's all do it yourself. They have adjustable vents to cut down on smoke and splatter. Overall a great time and highly recommend.

Went here during weekdays and surprisingly it's not busy. There's two servers back and forth in our tables. They cook here for you and you just basically seat and eat. They cook fast and ask which one we want to eat first. We ordered some side dishes too but don't like them. Too greasy. The meat doesn't really have a flavor. The ambiance is pretty quiet they're not busy yet that time. We really like the marinated beef.

Great service! went for a late lunch/early dinner and there was no wait for a table. Got the small combo meat and was a lot for two people. Well worth the price and the entire staff was great.

It's been years since my last visit to Baekjeong. I believe it used to be the top korean bbq restaurant. But this time it's a lot different than I remembered. They have canceled some great dishes like the pumpkin paste dessert which I miss a lot. The meat quality was also just average. I have been to other Korean bbq places that I have better sauce, meat quality, and service.

I'm a fan! We ordered a small combo, cold noodle and bibimbap for 3 of us and we were stuffed. Meat quality was top notch. Couldn't finish everything. With how much we ordered it would feed 4 ppl.lol There was no wait for us on sat lunch:)

Good customer service, good meat quality. Unnoticed refill of small dishes. I love the lunch box!

High quality meat offered in combos or al carte. If you come around 5pm you can avoid the dinner rush-they almost always have a wait time to be seated during weekends. I've gone with a large party and their managers made sure we were well taken care of. The staff remembers customers and makes us feel special. Staff can make recommendations on what to order if you're unsure. You can take any leftovers home and they reheat well. The tables have vents off the grills causing less smell on your clothes. I've also gone with a friend before going out and we were able to eat quick and didn't have the kbbq smell. We also didn't feel like we overate.

The atmosphere was cool. The Kiamichi soup was flavorful and had a nice crunch to the cabbage. Pro: Great location and the place has a vibe. Con: The food was basic windmill meat and nothing really out of the ordinary... High price point for Koran BBQ.

I've visited San Gabriel several times in the past 4 years and often passed this huge tea pot at the corner of Rosemead in Temple City, California. I finally got to eat here! Service was outstanding! If this gen in here keeps up the pace, this restaurant will last. Friendly and fast. Good for family gatherings, kinda noisy, but it's okay when food and service are good. Korean BBQ is always onolisious! All you can eat! Doesn't have to be spicey. It's all about what you prefer to eat.

Well, you all know I venture away from my "westside is the best side" home often... Sunday, I drove out to Glendale to hang with my dear friend Ella who never travels west. She promised me I was going to have the best Korean barbecue I've ever tasted. She knows I heart Korean cuisine. Well, what a lovely and spacious restaurant. I walked in and immediately made best friends with Sasha, a charming and lovely human. He was so sweet and found us a window table and it felt like such special treatment... thank you Sasha. Anyway, I digress. It was certainly different than my westside Korean restaurant we usually go to. Firstly, they cook the food for you. Secondly, the array of sides was incredible and delicious and plentiful. And then, here comes the meats! 3 different kinds cooked to perfection... the rib eye was divine! Wonderful different soups and an egg dish too! I loved every bite. My daughter and my grandgirls are flying here tomorrow and even though it's a schlep, I will ask them if they want to try something different! We are going to be traveling in that area over to Descanso Gardens so it's not so out of the question! Definitely a fantastic experience.Tip: Avoid lunchtime hours and go at 2p. It is not crowded and the ambiance is much quieter... Plenty of parking and terrific service!
