“I saw some comments about “not great food” and absolutely disagree with them! Among great cocktails and lots of draft beer variations they have very delicious food - we got artichoke deep and blue cheese burger - all was super delicious! They have a patio too for big crowds. “A decorated literature themed bar with well-made drinks and decent food. Street parking on a Saturday night was easy. It's a good spot for a private party, but for a fun night out this place seemed quiet and empty otherwise.Not a cheap place to buy drinks, especially when charged $7 for Diet Coke, and another $7 for a refill. I assume it was a mistake, but it bemuses me to pay a cocktail price for soda.Parking: Street parking“

“The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

“Farmhouse kitchen is the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever had. On top of the food being great and delicious, the presentation makes you want to order everything from the menu. Chef Bo was so nice to come out to our table and all I can say is she was a very nice, young & talented person. She even made me a special dessert for my birthday. Thanks Bo❤️ I highly recommend this place if you want an authentic, excellent and delicious food. In addition, the place is so full of life. The decor is amazing! I can’t wait to go back and try some of the fancy drinks and dishes on the menu.“

“AOC has always been a “go-to” restaurant for all the right reasons- food, food, food, service, service, service, ambience, ambience, ambience. I must have dined there +20 times and it just keeps getting better. And, NO, I was not paid for this review. I am particularly “gushing” with my comments this time because my wife and l are dealing with stressful external forces in our life and AOC provided a little quiet from the storm and performed perfectly in every way. One of the best meals we've ever had there. Kudos to all!“

“If you are 35 and under, you will feel right at home. The menu is LIMITED, but enough. It is EXPENSIVE. One Appetizer, one Main course, one Non-Alcoholic DELICIOUS drink, a glass of wine, and one cocktail - $244.00 + $50.00 Tip = almost $300.00 - for ONE meal. One thing that I thought was REDICULOUS is to have a separate line item for the 4% "LA Health Tax. For this kind of money INCLUDE it in the price. NOT very smart.“

“This is an L.A. bar with an NYC feel…post gentrification. A good place for an intimate situation or for bein’ a gaggle of gays and theys. Not sure about the pricing as I was treated to my libations, but the service was friendly. I appreciated the attentiveness. They have high tops on one side and soft seating on the other with bar seating in between the two.“

“Spent a fabulous evening at this outstanding restaurant in Beverly Hills. Great atmosphere, excellent service and steaks cooked to perfection. Ashleigh (sic), our server was friendly, attentive and ensured that everything went smoothly. The chefs should be congratulated on sticking to their guns over how steaks should be cooked. If you like your meat "well done" either prepare to be converted or go elsewhere. Put yourselves in the hands of Matu's highly skilled professionals and you will have the experience of a lifetime. This restaurant is recommended by Michelin, an accolade which is justly deserved.“

“This was our first time at Saltie Girl. We will definitely be dinning at Saltie Girl again.The oysters were outstanding and not a bad price at $4.50 each. They had great flavor.LA Pink salad was very good with an excellent crushed maple walnut dressing dressing.The Moules Frites, probably the best I ever had, even better than in Belgium! Ipswich Claim had a wonderful coating and excellent flavor. The Fried Brussels Sprouts outstanding flavor. The French Dover Sole with the lemon, capers, butter and parsley, amazing flavor. Lump Crab Toast bold and delicious flavor.The one dish I would pass on next time is the Tins. We had one tin with Sardine In Olive Oil With Lemon and one with Hake In Green Sauce. They just lacked flavor.Service was top notch.“

“I went to Lonely Oyster with three amazing friends for dinner last night and we all had a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable, and the food was to die for! Caesar salad = delicious, oysters were perfection, the calamari was the best I've had--just the perfect amount of crisp and flavor, and the cream sauce was sooooo damn delicious I wanted to lick it out of the ramekin when I was done with the calamari! The Australian wagyu ranchera was cooked just right and oh so tender and scrumptious--just the right amount of that perfect salty flavor! Very addictive taste! The grilled mushroom skewers were so damn delicious and had a nice grilled flavor to them, and the espelette chimichurri was a divine addition. My favorite overall was the lobster mac n cheese! Overall: 10/10 and I would recommend this to upscale foodies and surf n turf newbies alike! Highly recommended to all! Go to Lonely Oyster for the amazing service, charming romantic atmosphere (the warm lighting was lovely), and the divinely delectable food, you won't be disappointed!“

“Yummy tacos! We had the lomo saltado, carnitas and fish tacos and all were Good! We also had the potato and cheese taquitos and the cara cara Olive oil cake. The Olive oil cake was warm and moist on the inside and was crunchy and crisp on the outside. Went well with the orange sherbet that came with it!“

“Cool vibe in the main street area of Larchmont! Stopped here for a quick drink after shopping in the area. Got a Michelada and Sangria! The Michelada had a nice kick and served with their own beer. The Sangria was good too and not overly sweet. Lots of cute and small boutiques nearby. Definitely would come back, and try some of their food!“

“1 star deduction because the tables are awkwardly small for 2, and the food all came out within 5 minutes, resulting in the waiter trying to jam way too many plates on at once. restaurant needs to learn courses and timing, even with family style meals. the food all came out even before we got our drink order(which was placed first) food & ambiance 5 stars. we were lucky to happen upon jazz night on the 2nd and 4th fridays of each month. strong smell of truffles when you enter, so truffle haters beware. mushroom arancini- crispy fried outer layer, with rice and mushrooms on the inside sitting on a truffle based sauce. overall delicious but could be more generous with sauce as inside seems a bit bland without it. still great pastrami wagyu topped bone marrow- amazing. served with warm toast. great decadent combination here striped bass - very well done. fish was tender and cooked perfectly. sauce was almost drinkable labneh- first time trying this dish, a strained yogurt. served with warm soft delicious pita. will definitely order this every time i return price ended up less than $100 pp with tip“

“The influence of Alice Waters and David Tennis is at play in the $45 prix fixe 3-course lunch, simple, elegant and delicious. The rest of the menu, except the desserts and cocktails, looks to be uninterestingly pedestrian. Recently, a salad of thinly shaved manchego, mint, beets and radicchio first course and a perfectly cooked Sea bass, very plump clams, broad beans, and fennel second course in a seafood broth lightly seasoned with dill were superb, as were desserts that our waiter allowed us to substitute for the third course. Highly recommended for lunch.“

“**Update: there is no place I enjoy eating at for important meals than at HLAY. Food and drink are second to none. But, it's the staff and crew that really and it into the stratosphere. I couldn't ask for a better meal, all around, than here. Jonathan, the place is in good, capable hands. “The Best Restaurant Ever.... Michael C. hands down is the best waiter one could ask for. Management is the best, my family and I felt so welcomed. We can't wait to visit again. By the way, that was my first time ever having Sushi Roll, (sweet & spicy crab), roll. And God be with me on the butter cake, the beeeeest eveeeer. “Eggs bacon and waffles were spectacular! Waffles stands out by being light, fluffy and undeniably the best waffles I have ever had. I asked to separate waffles from eggs and bacon and think this is the way to go! French toast, burrito were also very good. Only drawback was it was a bit on the expensive side for breakfast - 30/pp. I guess you pay for quality!!“

“This was my first time at Dante’s and it was the best experience I’ve had at a restaurant in a while. The food and drinks were amazing and the service was exceptional. My server Kathy was amazing, she had this radiant energy that just brightened up my day. “Went to Tom's on Friday 4/26/24 and had the pleasure of having Justin as our waiter. This was our first time here, and the service from Justin was excellent. He had a great attitude, very friendly, nice smile, and very attentive. He came about every 10 minutes to make sure everything was ok. He also helped with suggestions on food items, which the food was delicious. Would definitely go back if we can continue to have Justin as our waiter.“

“We've been here for dinner and brunch. One word: Exceptional in every way: Fantastic setting. Great service. Incredible menu and delicious food. Lovely Hwood views. Perfect ambiance, design and decor. Gorgeous decks, landscaping and rooftop lounge areas, restaurant and bar. Lemon Grove is one of my favorite places in all of LA. Just go. Grab a weekend brunch, go for dinner or just for a rooftop bar lounge and and drink. (Unlike some other roof top bars/restaurants in LA, this one has zero attitude - from either the staff and crowd. Just friendly, chill and pleasant. A+“

“We have been going to Horses ever since they opened since it’s right in our neighborhood. The most friendly staff with a big shout out to Amanda. The most amazing craft cocktails and absolutely delicious food. I think we’ve almost tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Can be hard to get a reservation, but we usually get there at 5:15 and are able to sit at the bar with no problem.“

“Took my girlfriend there for her birthday dinner. There was a cute card waiting for us on the table with a personalized message wishing her a happy birthday. Staff was great. Polite and attentive. Food was really good. We chose from their list of specials for the night. The specials are a great value.Cocktails are creative and tasty. Love the lighting and atmosphere.“
“Hit up this spot last night and had a great time! The crowd is hipster casual, service is solid with some very handsome bartenders, and the drinks are great! Decor is modern with a chic feel, and though this spot doesn't serve food there was an amazing pizza truck out front which they allow you to eat inside the bar. “Where do I start with how much I love this place? As a photographer it's a joy and a delight to be here but even without the fact that I've worked there many times... The food the decor, the staff.. if you get a chance to meet Eden Alpert you're lucky. Always kind.... And you'll notice that she's probably having the best time of anyone. The music and the performers are top-notch. It's not uncommon to see some of the top names in jazz.. however don't be surprised if you see Seth MacFarlane doing songs from Sinatra or an Amy Winehouse tribute. Sound mix is even and the perfect volume. Highly recommend the Caesar salad with a plate sized parmesan crisp and the mini ahi tuna tacos and save room for the hot chocolate cake. Food is top of the line and jazz club is elegant and upscale. Can't wait to eat and shoot pics there again soon.“

We came on a Saturday afternoon and even though there were tables open they asked us if we had a reservation & when we said no they made us wait which threw us off a little! That being said, it's a gorgeous location and the ramen is amazing. The broth is absolutely divine & love that they gave an abundance of toppings. I will be back!“

“Every time we visit LA we have come to the Edmond for years. They recently changed their license and unfortunately we didn’t find out until our friend came with her 18 yr. old daughter and we sat down and she had water and was carded and asked to leave. It is now 21 and over, so no more family meals here. It’s unfortunate, but true. Please Post a sign for those that have been coming for years and don’t check the website.“

“The church-turned-restaurant has a clear sky above, creating a lazy and comfortable environment. The service staff kindly introduced the menu of the day. California cuisine is a fusion of Asian and Western food characteristics. The complimentary bread is very similar to Asian double cheese bread, and the cheese taste is very fragrant. Strawberries & burrata cheese is like a variation of the classic Italian mozzarella cheese and tomato salad. It is quite beautiful and delicious. The Day Boat Scallops have a crispy topping and a tender center. It has a rich texture and is paired with spiced pumpkin puree, caramelized carrots and vegetables. , gooseberry, with diverse and harmonious flavors. Next time I’m in Los Angeles, I want to try other interesting meals!“

“Hidden away in the city of Los Angeles is this amazing bar that serves one of the tastiest omakase. Entering the bar, you see a bar top that seats approx 10-12 people, with a open kitchen vibe. My partner and I had a great time. The Sunday crew was very nice and attentive, engaging with the customers and making things fun! The selection of fish was amazing, definitely a different experience compared to other omakase establishments I've been to.Parking was very easy since they provided easy simple instructions on their website :). “The best food and the best service! This is our third time coming here and nothing ever misses. The lunch is always a great vibe! This last time was with a big party of 8 and it was all handled seamlessly and everyone loved their meals, so thought it was time to give them a shoutout! Of the 3 times we've had the same server (Adrian) and they are truly such a special server happy to be there and be helpful! We couldn't remember if we like the shiro or shouyo more and they were helping us trying to figure it out, was super sweet and funny!! Thank you again!!!“

“Absolutely fabulous! The beef tartare was superb. I had the black truffle risotto and there is nothing better than that on the menu in my personal opinion, rich, creamy, earthy, simply delicious. My mom had the crab pasta which was so complex, but the lumps of crab added such a lovely ocean flavor to every bite. Our server was incredible! She was so attentive and kind and patient with us. But the best part of the meal was the tiramisu, not your typical tiramisu but the chocolate record decoration made the whole evening. Also the cocktails were worth every penny, expertly crafted and unique.“

“A very pretty friend and I decided to try Bestia on a Thursday at 5pm. After arriving and entering an outdoor patio that leads into the indoor seating, we couldn't help notice the bright blue wall, nicely trimmed tree, outdoor string lights all coming together to make a quiet eating experience but my pretty woman friend wanted us to experience the inside. Inside was livelier, more people, closely positioned tables,and an open kitchen facing the eating area. Cool modern music that's not too loud. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the coconut red chili oil scallops garnished with herbs and a slice of strawberry. I was pleased with the combination of flavors. Then we shared the bone marrow pasta, which was packed with savory flavors and interesting soft textures. It was delicious. Of course, we had to try the herb ceasar salad everyone raves about when talking about Bestia, and the hype is all true. We then shared a marguarita pizza and let me say this, despite the overly salted tomato sauce, the napolitano style crust elevated the rest of the pizza ingredients. I had old sunglasses: a tequila blanco cocktail with sweet citrus flavors all well balanced, I couldn't just have 1. My pretty friend had unsweetened ice tea, which was refreshing with a subtle fruit flavor. For dessert, we shared the chocolate dessert with a crispy sweet and salty crust that complimented the rich thick chocolate mouse that was just the right amount of sweet. It's the kind of place you take an attractive friend you really, really like. Recommend you plan at least a couple of weeks ahead to get a table because this place has a big following.“

“A few friends and I came for dinner recently. We were promptly seated on the cozy patio. Our server, I think his name is Levi? approached. He was so sweet. One of my friends is from the midwest and had on a missouri sweatshirt. Levi started talking to him and us and told us he too was from Missouri. We all felt completely at ease . The service was impeccable. One of my friends is kind of annoying with ingrediants and Levi was so knowledgeable about the menu and even suggested his favorite mocktails for the non-drinkers. A wonderful experience. We will definitely be back.“

“We came here for Easter Sunday brunch yesterday. It’s a cute restaurant with friendly staff.However, I expected the food to taste better…I ordered their classic breakfast pizza suggested by the server. First of all, it looked great. I’m not a fan of the fake bacon because it tastes like paper. After the first couple of bites, I realized the pizza was barely edible because of the amount of big rosemary leaves added in the pizza dough. I had to hand picked them out of the pizza to avoid tasting the ‘soapy’ rosemary flavor… and I love rosemary in general. Just not THIS MUCH. I asked my friends to also taste my pizza and they all told me I should send it back.Luckily, our server took it back right away and gave me the option to change to a different pizza.The second pizza I ordered was margarita pizza. It was pretty blend. But at least edible.I do need to say their menu is probably a hit or miss. My friends ordered the breakfast burritos that they enjoyed a lot. “The restaurant is located on the second floor of Nerano in Beverly Hills (you have to take an elevator up to the second floor through Nerano). This gives the spot kind of a fun speakeasy feel to it. When you get out of the elevator, you walk into a beautifully designed / decorated, cozy, albeit slightly quirky space. It's not large (I think the capacity is 34). Came here for a food event, which I did a review for separately, but this experience in particular was grabbing a drink at the bar. (I did think the food was delicious though and urge folks to come here and give this place a try. I know I want to come back and try more menu items.) The bar is beautifully designed and organized. I found myself perusing and mentally cataloguing the whiskeys as I always do when I go to new restaurants. But this place looked like a place that has fun cocktails. So I ordered The George Michael. The drinks here are really interactive, and the bartenders are super enthusiastic to the point that it's infectious. My drink in particular had some bowls that floated up and you had to catch it with a paddle. Flavor wise it was like espresso martini with a peanut butter twist to it. All in all this place is a great place to grab drinks and/or food. Lots of fun. There's a lot of street parking nearby, but it could get challenging especially during the weekends. I came in the middle of the week and was able to find parking about a block away.“

“I was worried that there would be a long wait because there were a lot of people doing the open run, but I went around 12 o'clock and even though there were a lot of people, I got in almost right away! I thought about doing an open run, but I think I made a good decision not to do it :) The food was a bit greasy, and the kimchi fried rice was delicious but greasy haha. The prices were a bit on the steep side, so I tried to eat it all.I used valet parking, but parking on the street seems to have a time limit and is a bit more expensive! Feel free to pay and have valet :)“

“Wow, wow, wow! From the minute we were greeted by the doorman and we entered the beautiful space, we knew we were in for a treat. And in the VALLEY, no less! What a gem. The nightclub vibe and attention to detail were what we noticed first. We really appreciated the seamless, knowledgable, and friendly attentiveness of the waitstaff. The music was spot-on. We wish the sets could've been a little longer but I'm sure there's a reason they weren't. Because it feels there is a reason for EVERYTHING here. The cocktails were delicious and perfectly balanced (Mezcal Negroni and Toluca Sunrise). And the food! Milk buns are a must. I could've made a meal of the roasted corn - creamy, flavorful deliciousness. Lamb pasta, crushed potato and the New York were perfect. A second bread option would be nice to eat with the mains. Wish we'd saved room for dessert! Next time. Because there will DEFINITELY be a next time.“
