“My sister suggested this coffee shop on a late evening and they were happy to serve us just before closing.Since then I've been during the afternoons and there's always been a long line, but it's definitely worth waiting for. I like their large variety and lactose free options, you really can't go wrong with their signature drinks.“

“ordered from the walk up window after scoping out the menu online. Their online ordering wasn't working. I ordered the Gyro Burrito because it looked so good in the picture. It took about 20 minutes for take out but everything is made fresh. It was one of the few times that l've ever gotten food that looked as good or better than the picture. The burrito is HUGE! I tried a bite & it tasted even better than it looked! Out of habit, I always get extra sauce in the side & their King sauce is like a Tahini type sauce only more complex & tastier. It really enhanced the flavors of everything, especially the gyro meat. Before I knew it, I had devoured the burrito & an entire cup of the King sauce. I'm definitely going back VERY soon & often!“

“History lesson... (hang in there..) Eat at Rudy's menu and some staff came from Tommy's Coffee shop, which was located next to the car wash downtown, a few blocks away. Tommy's was owned by Tommy and his wife. He loved to race cars and he sadly passed way in a crash. His widow ran it for years after his passing but eventually sold it to another Greek Couple. They kept the original menu and staff and built it back up to its busy origins. Marinated Steak and eggs was the highlight of the breakfast menu and on weekends, you had to wait unless you lucked out and got a seat at the counter. Eventually, the property was sold and condos were built in its place... However, the menu and staff survived and Eat at Rudy's was born just a few blocks away! The favorite Marinated Steak was saved as well as bringing over some recipes from Joe's in Redondo Beach. As you can tell, my favorite always has been original Marinated Steak and Egg's from Tommy's original Greek style marinate recipe. I have a picture (somewhere) of my parents and two brothers at Tommy's back before my arrival in 1967. Jean has been serving me and my family from when she worked at Tommy's. She has certainly seen me grow up and go through life changes! I no longer live in Torrance, but anytime my work brings me back, I get my fix for marinated and a hug from Jean! I usually get an extra order to go as well! There are now a few places that also acquired the recipe - Pacific Diner and The Nook. I still want the recipe so I can enjoy it when I am not in town! Anyone have it? If you have any other history info, please add it! My dad was a bread man for DiCarlo's Bakery and knew the best places in the South Bay.“
“Best brewery in California by far! JUST GO!“

“I'm so glad the Cask Ale is still available at this location. They've got options for wine and even some fun beer type cocktails. I had the burger with chili I think it's the Tom E and thank goodness it wasn't bigger because it was incredibly delicious.“

“The pizza is good, reminds me of New York style. They don't overdo the cheese like other places tend to do, as another reviewer stated. Appreciate the vegan meat options and the vegan nuggets for a side dish. Portions are good and reasonably priced. #Veganuary“

“This Japanese restaurant in Old Torrance often allows walk-ins, making it a convenient spot for impromptu meals or after-parties. I really appreciate the atmosphere, which is conducive to staying for a long time when it's not too crowded. I recommend the sashimi and sushi. While Japanese cuisine tends to be pricey these days, the prices here feel quite reasonable.“

“4.5 stars! So it says they're closed on Sundays but I think they were open this past Sunday because of the street fair? They weren't doing hot drinks though. They said their milk steaming machine was broken. That was ok. It was a hot day anyways. I got a regular latte with whole milk. I really enjoyed it. My friend thought it was bitter but I thought it had a lovely aroma and the milk to espresso ratio was perfect. I would definitely come back. I'm usually a hot coffee drinker so I would look to try a hot latte next.“

“The quality of the food was top-notch, and the service by Mariel was wonderful! I had the usual Wasabi Tuna Salad today and it was as delicious and as not-over-cooked as before, which is the reason I keep coming back: the consistent top-quality! I highly recommend this restaurant!“
“Great beer, service, and vibe! Checked out Absolution on Sunday and it was great. Head Brewer and beer tender were friendly and very informative. Enjoyed chatting with them about their current beer and future brews that are coming. Lots of TV's going with the Sunday NFL games on. Dog friendly and food truck on site. Micheladas are amazing! Loved the beer and peeps. We will be back.“

“Went on a Saturday night for the first time. There was a DJ that had the music and dance floor on point. One pool table but everyone seemed good in coordinating next games. Friendly atmosphere. TV’s around that showed videos of the music being played. Drinks are on point-try the Blueberry Muffin.Parking: There’s a parking lot adjacent to the bar.“

“Tried this place for the first time on a Saturday around 3:45 and ordered their Southern Banana Pudding ice cream and had a friend order their Ube, New York Cheesecake, and Green Tea flavors. The New Year cheesecake comes with a graham crust entwined and the banana pudding has Nilla wafers. The regular is a LOT bigger and more cost effective than a Baskin Robbin’s or Handel’s. Regular was three scoops, and a large was four. If you do get the green tea, pair it with the Cheesecake!A super long line that will have you waiting at least fifteen minutes, but it’s worth it. They have a couple of seats outside but right next to the street so it’s not very pleasant. Also, you can get samples!Dietary restrictions: They have non dairy flavors and sherberts.Parking: Free parking in the Palm Plaza and Torrance Plaza.Kid-friendliness: Perfect place to take a kid!“

“The food here is as good as in Rome or Florence Italy or anywhere in between, if not better. It is real, not Americanized at all. The service is prompt, polite and well organized. The Ambience is comfortable, clean and dignified without being "fancy". I have tried several things from the meny and the lamb chops are the best I've ever had in my 75 year life. I cannot do them as well at home myself. I'll be a patron for the rest of my life!“
“BEST TRIVIA SPOT!!! But seriously, our daughter has spent two birthdays at Smog City West for their trivia nights. She doesn't know any other way. Sam is the best beertender ever, and knows exactly what you want. They don't have food, but you can bring your own. Brittany is the best trivia host!! (Insert high fives).Board games? They've got em. Chalkboard hallway and chalk to draw? You betcha. Simpsons arcade game? D'oh! Yup! Oh, and don't forget about the free books outside next door at the tutoring place to go peruse in between rounds. Thanks for all the good times, Smog City!!“
“So many years we've been coming here and the service and food is always good. The Greek calamari salad is great as is the tomato bisque soup! We get take out from here when we need a quick dinner. The weekend brunch is good as it has special entrees although I wish they were open earlier. Free parking and generally not super crowded.“

“Cellador has long been a top-rated brewery amongst beer fans/snobs, but their niche is very particular: They produce barrel-fermented sour beers, so if you're looking for a hard seltzer, Czech pilsner, or triple imperial pastry stout, this isn't the brewery for that. Cellador's current location on Del Amo Boulevard in Torrance is not a taproom; there's no place to drink here. To be honest, it's barely even a sales location. From the large Smog City Brewing logo on the wall, one can likely surmise they are using capacity at a Smog City facility ― especially since Smog City's brewery and taproom are right across the parking lot. (That, and the first person who helped me here I later spotted worked at said taproom.) The owner came and spoke with me, and was very patient even as I admitted that I am not a big fan of sour beers and that I had not warmed well to one of Cellador's I had recently tried. Nonetheless, I did find something to purchase: a Lichtenhainer, a rare type of beer that has a lactic fermentation where the malt is smoked, so it's both smoky and sour. (It's an acquired taste, to be sure, but I love smoked beers.) While their style may not be my thing, I respect Cellador's devotion to their craft, and the owner is a really nice guy, too. I wish them the best, and while they may not be in my beer strike zone, I'll keep trying them to see what they're doing.“
