“Unbelievable restaurant, delicious food, excellent choices, and super friendly staff. Tried the Tuesday spare rib special and was incredible. Furikake chicken was great, and the loco moco is among the best I've ever had. Grabbed a couple musubi to go. Can't wait to come back.Parking: The parking lot the couple times I've been there had plenty of spots.“

“Their food is so tasty. We tried the mergez sandwich with their French baguette and sautéed potatoes. We loved it. We also had a café crème with a delicious mille feuille (French pastry). their staff is very friendly. They do their best to make you feel comfortable. I definitely recommend this place.“

“We had a spontaneous but wonderful evening at Aliotta Via Firenze. We were in the beach cities area and looking for an Italian meal and this place exceeded our expectations. The staff were the utmost professionals and very welcoming. Chef Mike's passion for his craft is infectious. Most American restaurants would never be as accommodating to their patrons, but Chef Mike offered to make us whatever we wanted if it wasn't on the menu. He brought us a delicious fresh mozzarella and tomato salad which was incredibly satisfying. The menu offerings were definitely geared toward the American palate (e.g. pasta with chicken), but this is a genuine Sicilian establishment so if you want an authentic recipe, he can make it! Mike brought us a customized risotto with fresh vegetables, and pappardelle with sausage and peppers. We capped it off with cannoli and a lemon cake that is to die for. He even has Birra Menabrea, which we enjoyed throughout the evening. Mike's restaurant is the real deal.“

“Great service! The lady at the register is so sweet with everyone who walks in the door. The sushi was fresh and priced reasonably. My favorite was the Tiger Roll. This place is more for takeout, they have a small seating area but no table service. Order at the register and pick up your order. I only knocked down one star for the wait time. I was told 20mins and it was more like 45mins. They seem really busy so I'd recommend to call ahead or expect to wait. Also, there is a 3.95% card fee if using a credit card so I paid with cash. I'll definitely return.“

“I like this place! Japanese food, Hawaiian music, it's like I'm in Hawaii visiting family, lol. Parking might be a little inconvenient, but not a problem. I parked in the back. It's pick-up style and the hours are limited. Definitely will be coming back to try other things“

“This place is so good !! Everyone is always polite. Also for 2 appetizers, 2 ramens and 2 drinks everything came out to 54-55 dollars !! That's literally cheap compared to other ramen spots that be coming out to 70 etc dollars! On top of that it's good decent ramen. My boyfriend and I were craving ramen but didn't want to spend so much money and this place is definitely budget friendly“

“ordered from the walk up window after scoping out the menu online. Their online ordering wasn't working. I ordered the Gyro Burrito because it looked so good in the picture. It took about 20 minutes for take out but everything is made fresh. It was one of the few times that l've ever gotten food that looked as good or better than the picture. The burrito is HUGE! I tried a bite & it tasted even better than it looked! Out of habit, I always get extra sauce in the side & their King sauce is like a Tahini type sauce only more complex & tastier. It really enhanced the flavors of everything, especially the gyro meat. Before I knew it, I had devoured the burrito & an entire cup of the King sauce. I'm definitely going back VERY soon & often!“

“We used to go regularly to Cho Dang restaurant on Hawthorne Blvd just south of Sepulveda Blvd. They closed and knocked the building down. Cho Dang combined with another Korean restaurant, and they refurbished a bakery into Jang Su Jang Restaurant. It is a very nice restaurant combining the best of both restaurants. The business is booming. Service is wonderful. parking is ample. Traditional Korean foods are marvelous. The combinations of sprouts, spiced fermented cabbage and hot pepper pickles are delightful. The soups are piping hot and favorfull. If you are new to the experience, the waitresses are extremely efficient and helpful. I am partial to the mushroom tofu soup. My wife likes the vegetable dumpling soup. My son likes the kimchi beef. In all these, one can choose the desired level of spicy. I choose medium. My son chooses extra spicy. He forms beads of sweat on his forehead and upper lip halfway through the soup ?. If you are there on a busy, cool spring evening and have to wait outside, bring a wrap. The Torrance breeze can be a little chilly.Vegetarian options: Mushroom spicy and vegetable dumpling soups.Parking: Quite a few parking spots in front. Handicap parking 30 feet from front door.Kid-friendliness: Kids enjoy food, too.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking 30 feet from front door. Doors, aisle ways, and seating can accommodate wheel chairs.“

“Humble mom and pop sushi shop with yummy, fresh, made to order sushi. Best part: at supermarket prices! They have to compete with the likes of Nijiya, Tokyo Central, and Mitsuwa nearby, so they have brought their A game. Bonus: the interior decor is a must for any baseball fan! No interior dining yet since Covid, so don't be late to your potluck with your mom and pop sushi! Let the adorable sushi clock lead you“

“A really delicious diner in old town Torrance. It’s located on a tree lined street and has many outdoor tables so this is the sort of place that is an easy option to sit outside or in. Today I brought my dog so the outdoor seating really came in handy. We were able to find a parking space right out front and there were a ton of other free parking spots next to us as well. Our server was really polite and fast and we were serviced immediately after sitting down. They have a very large menu filled with all sorts of diner classics, so it was hard to choose what I wanted this morning. Everything is very fair pricewise and the portions are also very hearty.I started off with a cup of coffee, per usual, and it was very tasty and strong. For my meal I chose the Marinated Steak and Eggs because I read a lot of positive reviews about it. I can confirm that it is indeed very good. The steak is very tender and seasoned well and comes in a very large sized portion. I was not a fan of the hashbrowns, as they are more of a potato cake , but aside from that everything else was really good.I would definitely recommend to anyone searching for a solid breakfast option in Torrance. I plan to be back in the future next time I am down in the area.“

“BEST PIZZA IN THE SOUTH BAY! My boyfriend introduced me to this little gem a few years ago and I can honestly say any other pizza I try since doesn't come close to the amazing taste that Jack's pizza makes. We're lucky enough to live 3 minutes away from this place, so we usually pick up and bring the pie home, but it's always piping hot and perfection every time. I honestly don't go anywhere else for pizza since my first bite of Jack's pizza, and I can pretty much guarantee you won't either. This place has been around for a long long time, I think somewhere around the 80's and I hope they stay around making magic in the kitchen for many years to come. A sincere thanks to all the staff at Jack's! Stay awesome and don't change!“

“TL;DR Solid (hand and cut) rolls, sashimi and overall experience, no complaints Story: Been here for the second time after about ~6 months. Both times with family, both times seated pretty promptly. Ambiance: Parking hasn't been a problem both times, but the lot only takes ~10 or less cars. Service was adequate as more folks filtered in (cater your expectations to a restaurant with a few waiters) Generally clean (restroom was fine), and I didn't feel uncomfortable with any of the decor/music/lack of anything Food: Definitely solid roll choices, they have other things like teriyaki but can only comment on the fish/rolls Soy paper and rice less options are appreciated I'm all for handrolls and these hand rolls are definitely hefty (Lobster hand roll/Vicky hand rolls were very solid) Rolls were good and fish was relatively fresh (no complaints) Value: Decent value considering the quality of the fish and that it's a sushi roll place, would definitely give this place a chance if you're in the mood for a solid roll (but shout out to those large hand rolls).“

“Never had ramen broth that wasn't made from pork. The taste was amazing, light, refreshing and less oilier than tonkotsu. The noodles were boiled to perfection, chewy and delicious. The TanTan Men were tasty as well, the peanut broth wasn't too overpowering. I will definitely go back again in the near future.“

“Best vegan pizza in LA!! The crust is perfect, the plant-based cheese is the best I’ve ever had, and all in all it’s delicious! I miss the vegan lovers though :/. “While the location is not the absolute best, the food and service makes up for any faults. I used to go there all the time when I was younger, and recently decided to try it again a few times. It did not disappoint. I had a chicken kabob with came with an immense amount of sides to go along including white rice, pita and hummus, along with a few vegetables, and garlic sauce. Everything is perfectly seasoned and nothing is bland. This will definitely become a future regular place.“

“I recently visited Palsaik with my girlfriend and her friends, and let me tell you—it was a trip down memory lane! Having lived in Korea about ten years ago, I was thrilled to find this gem right here. Palsaik specializes in eight different flavors of pork belly, and each bite was like a reunion with old friends. The ambiance was cozy, and the aroma of sizzling meat filled the air. Our server was an absolute star—helpful, attentive, and skilled at cooking the meat to perfection. They made sure our dining experience was extraordinary. From the savory garlic flavor to the sweet honey soy, every slice of pork belly transported me back to those bustling Korean barbecue joints. The nostalgia was real, and I couldn’t help but smile between bites.Whether you’re a seasoned Korean food enthusiast or a curious newcomer, Palsaik is a must-visit. The flavors, the service, and the memories—it’s all there. I’m already planning my next visit because, honestly, where else can you find such a delightful pork belly feast?“

“A nice and affordable place that sells very good protein bowls for $6-8! The chicken Katsu is very flavorful and it comes with a decent serving compared to the price. The Katsu plate is $4-5 increase compared to the bowl and includes a decent scoop of Mac salad and salad. Interior was fairly clean and there was no issues with parking. The staff are always super friendly and always open to suggestions when it comes to recommending what to try out! A place worth stopping by and getting some lunch during a quick break! “I’m giving this space for my review to my six-year-old daughter, who provided these remarks verbatim: “I know I’m six but I just had to write a review. My parents said reviews are a thing. I wrote this review because the pancakes…the pancakes are delicious at (falsetto singing voice) Caaaaaalf and Chiiiick! How many stars? Listen up here: I’m giving it 100,000 stars out of 100,000 stars. And another thing, by the way. I liked the high chairs. They aren’t like baby high chairs. But high tables and high chairs. They are cool. You should go there because the food is…- I’m gonna say it is delicious and everyone was nice.”“

“This restaurant offers plenty of seating and welcomes walk-ins during weekdays, making it easy to visit on a whim. The place is vibrant and arguably the best spot in the Torrance area for authentic Japanese cuisine at reasonable prices. I had the Shirasu Ikura Don, Roast Beef Don, a seafood bowl, and curry. Although primarily a sake bar, it serves substantial meals that are highly recommendable. A must-visit for anyone craving genuine Japanese flavors!“

“Really enjoyed the food here. Had the Kalua pork plate. Really tasty and cooked just right! It came with Mac salad and rice. Finished off dinner with shaved ice. “This place is about as legit as it gets for me. I spent a bit of time in Japan lusting over the food and I was skeptical I could find the same attention to detail in the US but here it is (at least to my western taste buds). Every dish has character. It can get busy so don't expect walk ins to always work out, there is bar seating too if you want to come as a single and be comfortable. The servers are great as well. We didn't know what to expect what was on the menu but we ordered the Steamed octopus, Fried oysters, Mentaiko Cheese (smaller than I thought but tasty) and Chinchikurinyaki Okonomiyaki. “I've been coming to this restaurant for years and it never disappoints. I'm writing another review since I don't know what happened to the one I wrote years ago when they first opened. My go to dish here is the chicken ka-pao (my all time favorite Thai dish). I've tried their other dishes too which were all good. I haven't been disappointed yet. Love their sticky rice with mango as well! This restaurant is small and cozy (with only a few tables if you want to dine in). There are only a few parking spots at the back of the restaurant, so parking can be challenging (no parking at the Flame Broiler lot or you may be towed). The staff are super friendly as well. I will definitely continue to patronize this establishment.“

“There are vents that go pretty low so you don't get as much smoke smell on your clothes after the meal.Wait time was good (as a walk-in on Sat night ~8pm).The bonchon selection is quite good - the mat kimchi is fresh but still has the fermentation I expect of good kimchi. Not going to review each one, there was a wide selection and refills on all of them.We got the beef combo, with boneless short ribs. The boneless short ribs were my favorite. They do come by to flip your meat (but don't hover over your shoulder).Jazz started off our service but every waiter was friendly and went out of their way to help! I left a good tip for that.Parking: The parking can be limited because there are so many good food places in the same plaza.“

“This place was awesome. We were visiting the area and decided to stop in for lunch. We had tried to stop in on Saturday but it was packed. So, we on Monday afternoon to take a break from checking out used bookstores. There was only one other table occupied. Our waiter was being trained by another server and they were both great. The atmosphere was cozy, and the food was fantastic. My son said he wished we had one where we're from. I agreed. Definitely glad we stopped in.Dietary restrictions: They are gluten friendly. Be careful if you're gluten sensitive and can handle small amounts of cross contamination. I'm gluten sensitive due to auto-immune disease but I am generally okay with things in a shared fryer. I ordered the fries. Thankfully, our server informed us they toss their fries in flour before frying. That I cannot do. Burgers and sandwiches can be served on gluten free buns.“

“Tried this new place out. We had the all you can eat lunch special. There were definitely some pros/cons.The pros were: excellent food (especially the butter chicken), great naan! Price was reasonable at $19 per person. Easy to park with no extra cost. Dessert was good but they only had a fruit salad NO sweet rice or NO gulab jamun (which I normally looooove to eat at other Indian restaurants). Good service, the waiter was kind. The cons: the atmosphere could have been more upbeat, it was very quiet (no music playing), they ran out of the dish we loved so we had to wait an extra 15-20 minutes before they brought more out and the rice was limited; I think we could have asked for more but we ended up just using what they gave us.“
