“We've been coming here for many years. The go-to order for us is the Ox-tongue, Slightly Salted with Green Onions. Other good choices are the Skirt Steak, Liver, Garlic. Be warned it does tend to get smokey inside, so you'll come out smelling like bbq. Plenty of parking in the lot. Reservations help on weekends.“

“My bf and I dropped by Mitsuwa since we were at the mall and because the one that they opened near us doesn't have nearly as much good stuff. The food court here is incredible and so much room to sit! We love eating at Mitsuwa's food court but unfortunately ours back home doesn't even have a food court. We found a spot to sit immediately and we got some food to share from this place since we weren't super hungry. Got the Curry Rice, Chicken Katsu, Fried Rice, Teriyaki Mayo, and Sutamina Chicken (super garlicky chicken) which was all absolutely delicious. I couldn't believe how much garlic they put into it but we loved it! That's exactly how I wish all garlic chicken was. The curry and katsu were great, delicious fried rice that wasn't dry, and their teriyaki mayo is fantastic for dipping the katsu in. “TL;DR Solid (hand and cut) rolls, sashimi and overall experience, no complaints Story: Been here for the second time after about ~6 months. Both times with family, both times seated pretty promptly. Ambiance: Parking hasn't been a problem both times, but the lot only takes ~10 or less cars. Service was adequate as more folks filtered in (cater your expectations to a restaurant with a few waiters) Generally clean (restroom was fine), and I didn't feel uncomfortable with any of the decor/music/lack of anything Food: Definitely solid roll choices, they have other things like teriyaki but can only comment on the fish/rolls Soy paper and rice less options are appreciated I'm all for handrolls and these hand rolls are definitely hefty (Lobster hand roll/Vicky hand rolls were very solid) Rolls were good and fish was relatively fresh (no complaints) Value: Decent value considering the quality of the fish and that it's a sushi roll place, would definitely give this place a chance if you're in the mood for a solid roll (but shout out to those large hand rolls).“

“Oishi desu!! (It's delicious) I found this place by just searching for Japanese food near the botanical garden up the street. Needless to say, my search didn't fail me. The omakase meal set was so good!! We went here for Valentine's Day and I made a reservation a week ahead of time, just to be safe, but I don't think it was necessary. I think walk ins were being accepted. We both got the omakase set, one NY steak and one filet mignon. So good! Cooked to perfection. Ending the meal with dessert, we had a wide variety of selection. We got one green tea crème brûlée (WHICH IS SO GOOD! Would come back just for this) and one mango cake, which was also so good, tasting like a gummy. Overall, this place is presentable, and also surprisingly affordable for what you get. I would come back here for a special occasion.“

“Located in the Nijiya Plaza in Torrance, I stopped in for a late lunch since I wanted to try their Sliced Beef Don.Greeted and seated right away since I was dining alone, the place was still packed, which is a good sign.Ordered the large Amercian Sliced Beef Don (with egg) and waa impressed. It was tasty and filling, everything that I had hoped for. Looking at the menu, there are other Japanese style dishes that I would cpme back and try? 5 stars.“

“Every dish is as good as all the others: wagyu beef, pork belly, pork cheek, beef tongue, hearts, gizzards, octopus, rice ball. We will definitely be back for more.“
