“Best omakase for the value in South Bay. Owned by a Japanese husband and wife duo in a strip mall corner. Parking has always been available every time we’ve been here, and we’ve came over 6+ times now. Go often and keep them in business for years to come!“

“TL;DR Solid (hand and cut) rolls, sashimi and overall experience, no complaints Story: Been here for the second time after about ~6 months. Both times with family, both times seated pretty promptly. Ambiance: Parking hasn't been a problem both times, but the lot only takes ~10 or less cars. Service was adequate as more folks filtered in (cater your expectations to a restaurant with a few waiters) Generally clean (restroom was fine), and I didn't feel uncomfortable with any of the decor/music/lack of anything Food: Definitely solid roll choices, they have other things like teriyaki but can only comment on the fish/rolls Soy paper and rice less options are appreciated I'm all for handrolls and these hand rolls are definitely hefty (Lobster hand roll/Vicky hand rolls were very solid) Rolls were good and fish was relatively fresh (no complaints) Value: Decent value considering the quality of the fish and that it's a sushi roll place, would definitely give this place a chance if you're in the mood for a solid roll (but shout out to those large hand rolls).“

“The best sushi lunch specials. It's small and out of the way. The absolute best.“

“This place is about as legit as it gets for me. I spent a bit of time in Japan lusting over the food and I was skeptical I could find the same attention to detail in the US but here it is (at least to my western taste buds). Every dish has character. It can get busy so don't expect walk ins to always work out, there is bar seating too if you want to come as a single and be comfortable. The servers are great as well. About 4 items is a full meal.“

“This Japanese restaurant in Old Torrance often allows walk-ins, making it a convenient spot for impromptu meals or after-parties. I really appreciate the atmosphere, which is conducive to staying for a long time when it's not too crowded. I recommend the sashimi and sushi. While Japanese cuisine tends to be pricey these days, the prices here feel quite reasonable.“

“This is probably one of the sushi gems in the South Bay. They give good portions for the price. They also have boba so my daughter loves boba and Sushi together. It's a small restaurant but cozy. Just keep posted the days they are closed. It seems to rotate so when I went they were closed on Wednesdays. I really enjoyed the food and the service. Definitely check it out!“

“Came for a quick meal before a movie. Very cozy and the service is nice but wasn’t particularly impressed by the food, especially given how many great Japanese options there are in the area.Calpico Beer - was great and my SO ordered a secondTakowasa - disappointing unfortunately, the octopus wasn’t the freshest.Skewer plate - was just ok, some of the skewers were overcooked and most didn’t have enough seasoningSoft shell crab in chili sauce - pretty good! Not spicy and actually more sweetNatto and sashimi - natto is not for everyone but I like it, and this is a pretty good dish“

“My first review! My visit here last night was nothing short of a revelation in the art of sushi dining. Celebrating its 17th year, this gem of a restaurant has not just stood the test of time; it has set the bar for what authentic Japanese cuisine can embody. Though it is not your modern izakaya nor fine-dining luxury, it firmly facets itself as the "OG" restaurant in the diverse Japanese dining scene. Immediately upon entering, I observed details of its classic entity by old decos of art, calligraphy, signs, photos, and handwritten notes. It was an ambiance that exuded warmth. I immediately felt the history and dedication woven into the fabric of this place. The owners have crafted not merely a restaurant but a sanctuary for those who appreciate the finer nuances of Japanese culture and cuisine. I opted for the sushi combo course. Each piece of sushi was a testament to the chef's mastery over his craft, with every ingredient shining through in a delicate balance of flavors and textures with a properly curated course. All the nigiri boasted freshness in a blend of tastes that was above satisfactory by the plate. But what truly sets Sushi Anza apart is the heart and soul poured into every aspect of the dining experience. From the attentive, yet unobtrusive service to the meticulous presentation of the dishes, you can feel the love and dedication that the owners have for their craft. It's this personal touch combined with an "aged" ambience that transforms a meal into an experience. In a world where the genuine essence of Japanese cuisine can sometimes be lost amidst fusion and innovation, Sushi Anza stands as a beacon of tradition and quality. Overall, my first visit here was a nostalgic journey through the very essence of Japanese tradition, guided by the hands of those who know and respect it the most. I cannot recommend Sushi Anza enough and look forward to many more visits. I hope to regain the same authentic warmth, excellence, and quality that hallmarks the culinary gems of Torrance.“

“First time eating at Sushi Nozomi. May 10, 2024. Looking from the outside, it looks like a hole in the wall restaurant. It's a little sushi restaurant that is clean, the staff was very friendly. They have a private room with a minimum order dollar amount. We ordered Omakase (80.00), US Wagyu rib eye 8oz. (55.00), GoldenEye snapper head (21.80), Ankimo (14.80), and black sesame brulee (15.00). All the foods were very good. Snapper head was amazing. We will definetly come back. Service was great too. Come and try it here. Price was reasonable.“

“Excellent service! Attended a group dinner (birthday celebration) in a private area. The servers did an excellent job keeping up with drinks and waters. Our dinners were all served at the same time, hard to do with large groups. Food was very good and the options for the menu were all great! Nice room layout, we were all at one long table with lots of room move around and mingle.Parking is always easy at Miyako Hybrid as they have a second overflow lot for guests. In addition, they offer valet parking. Definitely would recommend the hotel for stays. Great inhouse restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great for private events or just private dining. Plenty of space for private events just off the lobby.“

“We've been coming here for a while now and while we enjoy the experience and quality of food our last visit was severely disappointing. The previous customers' order wasn't cleared before we sat down and despite us getting the manager to adjust the tab and telling us everything was OK we ended up getting overcharged for plates we never ordered pushing our bill well over $100! Pretty sad that instead of owning up to THEIR mistake or eating some costs for THEIR mistake they lost a loyal customer that was coming in a few times monthly.“

“Very nice and quiet with good food and friendly service. We were visiting and wanted to get a nice lunch and drink. Beer is 50% off! The bento had so much food on it, we ended up taking half of it home since we were so full from grabbing some sushi rolls before getting our bento lunch, lol. Highly recommend this place. Good good, good price and good service.“

“Cozy traditional restaurant. Arrived on a Saturday around 7pm and there was no wait. There's plenty of free self parking. Was greeted by the friendly staff and quickly seated. They offer lots of cut sushi options as well as a few cut rolls. The fish was very fresh and tasty. The rice used was of excellent quality and prepared very well.Felt it was a bit on the pricey side considering it's not in a fancy location or fancy ambience.“

“Right down the street from my house I love this place especially with the mango drink they have so good . First time customers get 20% off and then a point system after that so after your third time u go there u will get a free food item . Pretty darn sweet[ty “
“Miyazaki is a ghost kitchen (?) inside other restaurant. They're located in a run down strip mall inside another sushi restaurant. We called ahead and got one of their adorable sushi boxes. For the price and quality it's not too bad. It's fine if you're in the area but I wouldn't go outta your way.“

“Best bang for your buck Sushi in LA! Newly opened- what the staff may lack in experience they make up for with genuine and friendly attitude. Is this the best sushi I’ve ever had? No, of course not! But at this price point, Sushi is fresh, made to order and tastes good- trust me you won’t find a better deal.“
