“The first thing I want to say is that my server, Christian, was AMAZING! He went above and beyond on serving my food. He kept on asking if the portions were enough, which is something I dont get asked enough from places as such. He was super polite, gave the best answers to my questions, and always mentioned options when most others would have just given what I asked for. The food was spot on the best Poke I've ever had! Finally, the price was just right for what I was getting, and the restaurant was super well kept and clean! I HIGHLY recommend this spot, and if Christian is serving you make sure to leave a nice tip!“

“Clean environment, reasonable prices, large portions (poke bowl), friendly & professional owners! Haven't even begun to describe the food, which is AMAZING! Very good quality. I've only ever gotten poke bowls but I need to try the sushi soon. 5 stars all across the board!!! BTW, they close at 8:30pm not 9pm. I came at about 8:25pm thinking they were open until 9pm and they served me with a smile!! Add this place into your take out rotation, you don't want to miss out!“

“I’ve been to other Ohana’s it’s always been a good meal, this place isn’t any different.I just had 4 spam musubi’s and 2 chicken musubi’s. All were delicious and filling for the lunch hour. I weil suggest “easy rice” for less rice and the chicken/spam were cooked/sauced perfectly.I’d definitely come back and try their other menu items.“

“Who knew this place existed in La Habra of all cities?! Hi BBQ is delicious, flavorful and reasonably priced. They give you huge portions and we all had leftovers to take home. The chef is also a very sweet lady. I will definitely be back again to try the other items on the menu.“

“A hidden gem within the Puente Hills Mall..The customer service was immaculate! If your on a time budget and trying to grab something quick and comforting..THIS IS IT!! We ordered the Katsu Chicken Plate..please note this is a huge plate!! It accompanied steam rice, Mac Salad and veggies. I also ordered the BBQ chicken bowl w/rice and veggies. They don't have fancy leis but they have a huge menu, and really good food! If you want the hometown feel.. and yummy delicious food.. come try the best Hawaiian bbq in South Pasadena!“

“It's all about the Food here. Very friendly service. Expect to wait for your order, but it is worth the wait. This place is not much about atmosphere, just great food at good prices. I highly recommend the Beef Ribs and Macaroni Salad.“

“My partner and I are regulars here as it is near our apartment and in a plaza right near our local Target. Walking into the restaurant, you hear the grills hard at work preparing chicken and short ribs alike. The smell wafts in the venue as you wait for your food to be cooked and it's such a treat. I usually get the #1 Hawaiian Chicken BBQ plate ($13.99) with extra Mac salad and my bf orders the Loco Moco ($16.49). Typically, you're in and out of here unless it's busy like around dinner time. You won't wait more than 15 minutes as they're very quick on serving the food out fast and hot. Overall, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Definitely makes for a great meal and reasonable pricing for good Hawaiian food.“

“This review was mainly for the customer service. I called the day before to place a large phone order for lunch the following day. The girl who took the phone order ((Jessica?) was amazing. Super friendly and patient. The next day the food was all ready to go and on time. Thank you!“

“I love that they give a lot of free stuff. I call this the one stop shop because we ate, talked and played games. They actually have pretty good games there. I brought 4 friends now and they all loved it! Maybe I should get a commission, hee hee!“

“The taste is above average but not the best. The portion sizes are adequate, and I highly recommend the half and half option for first-time visitors. I tried the Kalua pork and spicy BBQ chicken, both of which were great. The owner was kind enough to leave a good impression.“

“Great food and great service. I'm ok if they don't have indoor seating. I always order to go anyway. I prefer their chicken and beef teriyaki than other hawaiian place near my house. It tastes better on how they cut their meat. Also, I love their potato salad. It's one of the tastiest potato salads that i ever had.“

“Looking for your sushi fix without breaking the bank? Look no further than Polk Avenue! ? This seafood joint serves up mouthwatering poke bowls and poke burritos that’ll have you coming back for more. Sure, some might balk at the prices, but let me tell you, it’s worth every penny! ?Picture this: you walk in, and right before your eyes, they whip up your meal with FRESH ingredients. And let’s talk about value—sure, groceries are getting pricier, but here, you’re getting top-notch, home-cooked seafood at a decent price. Beat that, McDonald’s! ?(1 meal with them $18 now!)But it’s not just about the food—it’s the vibe!!! The owner, Super sweet and friendly. They’ll bend over backward to ensure you get the best bang for your buck! In a world where businesses are disappearing left and right, Polk Avenue is a survivor. Let’s keep it that way! ?So, if you’ve had a rough day and need a pick-me-up, skip the drive-thru and head to Polk Avenue. Your taste buds—and your wallet—will thank you! “This is a hidden gem! The food is fresh to order. I've only tried the pupusas revueltas and tacos de carne asada. It's a small location but definitely worth a try. It's an interesting combination of different foods. The cooks are really sweet and the gentleman at the register is friendly. There are only about 6 tables with 4 chairs each, but if it's only you and your date it's perfect. The decor is a lot of Salvadoran art and some plates with Salvadoran currency. It's cute for a date to chat and have some good food.“

“I don't normally do reviews at all. Saw this place awhile back and stumbled upon it again while driving today. First time experience, the price is extremely reasonable however the proportions?!? The proportions were beyond amazing. The food and the service here was just impeccable, cooked right in front of you. Quiet area too if you wanna get away from everything.“

“This is the place to go if you are craving good poke. The owner is an ACTUAL sushi chef (with the professional uniform and everything) and he makes the sauces himself!! This is NOT your typical poke restaurant!! I was so humbled the first time I came here on a rainy night when I ordered how I normally would at any poke restaurant. The owner looked at my order and suggested that I try other sauces (which I was scared to try at the time since I never heard nor tried them before) as well as adding (many) more toppings. And I have never felt more grateful from a suggestion before because he helped me create the most delicious, packed, and flamboyant poke bowl I have ever seen. I can't even remember all of the ingredients he convinced me to add because there were so many. I WOULD TRUST HIM FOR ANY DISH I EAT NOW! It appears I'm not the only one since they have a whole wall covered with completed stamp cards (WHICH IS INSANE!!!) Anyways, check it out! It's rare to see poke restaurants like this one!“

“Warning, is going to be odd review about one item. But on wednesdays they have a 2 dollar spam musubi special. Honestly, as a struggling college student there are no words to describe how insanely helpful this has been and something i weirdly look forward too. 10 bucks gets me 5 and i’m set for lunch for a a few days. It’s small thoughtful little ways with mom and pop locations like this that add a layer to a local community. Major chains could never, devoid of warmth and any way to build a relationship with its patrons beyond an exchange of overpriced and sometimes lackluster food. Places like this provide humble and honest ways for the community to feed themselves. Will support this place as long as I can.“

“I ordered the medium size bowl which comes with your choice of base (i chose spring mix&brown rice), three protein and toppings . They have a decent selection of different kinds of fish, toppings and sauces. Overall food was pretty good with good portions and the two ladies working there were friendly and patient. The order was served quickly and I would come back again. This was my first time trying this spot and safe to say this was worth the price.“

“It'll never go wrong with Bay Poke. The freshness of the fish variety down to the salad greens and then the attention to details on the packaging. It just tells me that the crew running the business really do care about their job, which unfortunately is not something we can say everyday.“

“This is my go-to poke place and I have been going here for years. They have wide selections of sides as compared to other poke places. Their bowl size is standard, sizing just varies on the number of scoops you want for the protein. Dee, their manager is the best! She's super friendly and she is very generous with the portions unlike the other staff they had in the past. Place is clean and always neat inside and out.“

“Best hawaiian food I’ve ever had. I live an hour away and make the trip out here. The bbq beef is amazing as well as the side salad and macaroni salad that comes with the plate. Inexpensive for the amount of food you’re getting. Try the spam masubi! This place doesn’t even come close to Ono hawaiian bbq chain“

“Food was classic Hawaiian- Japanese meals. Very tasty chicken & pork dishes & good portions for the prices. The teri beef had some gristle & fat, but otherwise was well marinated. Just cut it off. Sufficient parking in the back. Will try the kalbi ribs next. Just wish they offered teri salmon.“

“This is a regular place to order lunch. I never eat in ambience is not that great but I see people eating lunch on the outside patio chairs all the time so it’s about 20 bucks for a large pokey, figured it’s healthy it’s gonna be more expensive you know it’s just a bunch of protein in brown rice and salad in a bowl. Good healthy option as compared to what else is out there during the work week.“

“Ono opened relatively recently in South Pasadena, conveniently off the 110 fwy. It is a chain that specializes in fast casual Hawaiian food like chicken katsu and spam musubi. It is nice having a Hawaiian restaurant near the Pasadena area, though I wish they had my favorite Hawaiian food loco moco. I'm still trying to figure out what the island white fish is (tilapia, rockfish, etc), so if anyone knows feel free to lmk!“
