“My partner and I are regulars here as it is near our apartment and in a plaza right near our local Target. Walking into the restaurant, you hear the grills hard at work preparing chicken and short ribs alike. The smell wafts in the venue as you wait for your food to be cooked and it's such a treat. I usually get the #1 Hawaiian Chicken BBQ plate ($13.99) with extra Mac salad and my bf orders the Loco Moco ($16.49). Typically, you're in and out of here unless it's busy like around dinner time. You won't wait more than 15 minutes as they're very quick on serving the food out fast and hot. Overall, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Definitely makes for a great meal and reasonable pricing for good Hawaiian food.“

“This review was mainly for the customer service. I called the day before to place a large phone order for lunch the following day. The girl who took the phone order ((Jessica?) was amazing. Super friendly and patient. The next day the food was all ready to go and on time. Thank you!“

“My sisters recommended this poke spot to me. I like the options, portions are huge, the person helping me with my order was incredibly helpful. I also loved that they serve many options besides poke- I saw they had boba and chips.. pretty cool place I'll be back soon :)“

“Food: Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken had the right balance between spice, butter, moist breaded chicken; Kimchi Butter Shrimp was also excellent; Spam Brulee was a great new take on the typical Spam Musubi with their mayo-based sauce on top Service: made-to-order service Design: interiors had the touch of island vibes with the rope lashing & surfboard sign, but is part of the larger Rodeo 39 Public Market Overall: if you want great Hawaiian inspired grindz with a little extra kick, then check out this spot and get ready to roll your eyes back with satisfaction!!!“

“The hype is real. Owner is great, staff are nice, and food is delicious. Ordered volcanoe chicken bowl, teriyaki chicken with veggies, and tropical orange chicken plate. Found a new favorite rice bowl place :) Come early though. Seating is limited and when there's a dinner rush, thats an understatement. We'll be coming back again.“

“Got the opportunity to stop in again and cure the craving for the garlic chicken that haunted my soul. The best part of anytime Hawaiian bbq is the convenience to walk from any of the convention center or Disney hotels and the prices are so reasonable for the flavor and amount of food you get to enjoy! After a long day of walking a garlic chicken plate and a spam musubi will fill the belly and make a happy soul! No joke the garlic chicken is crave worthy!!“

“I was surprised at first by the menu because it is somewhat different than other poke places, but this is BY FAR the best poke I’ve ever tasted. The rice, the quality of fishes, the sauces, everything about that poke was delicious. Great service too which adds to the experience.“

“Wow! Dennis and his team have got it figured out. I came here with my friends to try out different items. We ordered the soy garlic glazed salmon, garlic furikake chicken, garlic butter shrimp, chicken katsu sandwich, and the kalbi beef short ribs. We also ordered sugar, ube creme filled, guava creme filled, and mango creme filled malasadas. For our refreshments, two of us had limeades while my friend and myself had the ube horchata. Everything was delicious. We were very pleased with our orders. The salmon was my favorite. There's seating inside and outside. Best for parties of 2-4. Great for take-out. Service was friendly and quick. Free parking in the plaza.“

“OMG!!!! So delicious.... My husband and I had the hungry faka plate to share and that plate could have fed 3-4 people. Everything was perfectly cooked and so yummy. The service was amazing definitely with aloha. If your in there area definitely worth checking out. It's like a food court of different food ethics. But easy to find. We definitely would return. Pictures only say so much too.“
“I worked out at this studio during my recent trip to Disneyland with my family. Coaches are awesome, studio was easy to get to, only like 15 to 20 minutes from our hotel by the park, and it was clean, and friendly. Whenever I'm back in the area I'll be working out here!“

“I was craving poke and came for a quick lunch! They give you a piece of paper where you can just circle whatever you want on the bowl and you give it to the cashier when you're ready to order! I think because of this the bowls come out really fast! The salmon and tuna were big portions and really fresh! I definitely want to come back! This plaza also has a lot of parking so no need to worry about that!“

“Who knew this place existed in La Habra of all cities?! Hi BBQ is delicious, flavorful and reasonably priced. They give you huge portions and we all had leftovers to take home. The chef is also a very sweet lady. I will definitely be back again to try the other items on the menu.“

“Wonderful customizable poke place and quick service! Clean and neat store. Good portion sizes and prices. The regular size fills me up. The fishes and sauces are delicious. I recommend to add tempura flakes to your bowl, which gives you an extra “umph”/crunch. The dining out area is on the smaller side, but it doesn’t bother me.“

“Chose this place without expectation after hours of play time at Kid's Empire, an indoor playground nearby. We were tired and hungry and ready to grub. Guess what? THE FOOD WAS BOMB!!!My son and I shared the CHICKEN COMBO -Chicken Katsu and Chicken Teriyaki with rice and macaroni salad. Huge portion. Chicken was cooked perfectly and Mac salad was on point! I'd order it again. My husband enjoyed his SEAFOOD PLATTER -Fried Shrimp, fried fish with rice mac salad. Huge portion too. They also had boba drinks. We tried the mango slush with Boba and was a little sweet for my liking but still good.Customer service was great! The young girl who took out order was nice and helpful and the older lady who maybe the owner was really nice and offered us water and check on us making sure we were okay. Will be back if we are in the area.“

“Wow this was surprisingly good food!!! Located on Lincoln (cross street is Beach Blvd) the restaurant is tucked into a strip mall so pay attention as you approach. Walked in and was greeted by a friendly lady at the counter who helped me make my choices. I decided on the big kahuna family meal and a beef rib plate. Big kahuna - 5 stars. I couldn't tell by looking at the pictures, but this can feed 3 adults or 2 adults/2 children easy. The chicken, beef, and especially the short rib was delicious, and there was plenty of food to go around. I found myself wanting more of the macaroni salad and less rice, but it was all good. At $39 this is a solid deal and I would definitely order this again. Beef rib plate -- 3-4 stars. If you are a fan of beef ribs then this plate is for you. You get 4 ribs, Mac salad and rice, and portion wise, this is a good deal for the price. For me I thought the ribs were a little too fatty for me, but if you are a fan, this is for you. The meat just fell off the bone, and there was a delicious smoke flavor to the meat. I am looking forward to going back to MI bbq. I definitely want to try a short rib plate, and will definitely get the family big Kahuna meal asap. 12“

“I heard about this place from some friends of mine who came here to eat. I'm hesitant about eating Hawaiian food because not a lot of people know how to make it even though they own a Hawaiian food restaurant. So I checked it out. I ordered the beef ribs, and it came with Mac salad (no potatoes) and 1 scoop rice and small spinach salad. The beef ribs came out huge but not a lot of meat on them, however very flavorful. My wife ordered the poke and you could tell that it was fresh, it was very good. They had a few different types. She had ordered the Calhi poke . A lot of times, it depends on who is cooking. We totally enjoyed it, the day we went, so do you wanna check out a Hawaiian food place?Try this place out,it may surprise you.“

“One of my favorite poke spots so far! I've been trying other places but I always keep coming back to this one. They have standard pricing but they give SO MUCH food! Avocado is free and they have lots of options. They always fill my plate up and I'm always so full before finishing the bowl. Their fish is fresh as well and just overall tastes really good. They don't skimp out on anything. I really recommend everyone to try them out!“

“The taste is above average but not the best. The portion sizes are adequate, and I highly recommend the half and half option for first-time visitors. I tried the Kalua pork and spicy BBQ chicken, both of which were great. The owner was kind enough to leave a good impression.“

“This is my new favorite spot for poke. Their prices are great compared to other poke spots, considering their portions. I usually get a medium bowl that contains 3 proteins and the Hawaiian tuna is my favorite. The workers do not skimp on the protein scoops! I love the assortment of toppings and sauces. There is a good amount of tables inside for seating and the service is quick and easy.“

“Poki roll was closed due to a power outage when we tried to eat there. Didn't get to experience the service or the food. Re. Atmosphere, it was dark due to the power outage. I finally commented because Google keeps reminding me to comment. I gave them 4 stars based on others experience.“

“Warning, is going to be odd review about one item. But on wednesdays they have a 2 dollar spam musubi special. Honestly, as a struggling college student there are no words to describe how insanely helpful this has been and something i weirdly look forward too. 10 bucks gets me 5 and i’m set for lunch for a a few days. It’s small thoughtful little ways with mom and pop locations like this that add a layer to a local community. Major chains could never, devoid of warmth and any way to build a relationship with its patrons beyond an exchange of overpriced and sometimes lackluster food. Places like this provide humble and honest ways for the community to feed themselves. Will support this place as long as I can.“

“After a week of eating what was supposed to be the best food Disneyland offers and receiving the most terrible service in our life with mediocre meals, we decided to look outside the park. I am so thankful we did!Starting with my phone call to ask if we could wear our vacation clothes to dinner I was met with the kindest voice on the other end reassuring me that it was okay to wear a Disneyland Sweatshirt since we had not planned to leave the resort property. When we arrived 20 minutes early to our reservation we sat for less than 5 minutes before we were seated at our table and from the very first second we arrived the entire staff was unbelievable and I do not think words can fully describe how attentive the staff was to us.They provided a allergy menu that had so many options which was a treat for me because I am used to having only one or two options and often those consist of just salad and fruit, but not noodles, such a rare occasion. We tried an appetizer of Brussel Sprouts which if not prepared correctly can be very bitter. My husband and I looked at each other after the first bite with amazement, we'd never had brussel sprouts come even close to being as delicious as these were. I told my husband not only were these the best brussel sprouts I have had im my life but possibly thing I have ever tasted. My entire family, including my picky 8 year old was blown away by the food and service here and our server (a beautiful, petite, blonde who could pass for a disney princess) was the sweetest and most attentive we have had at our stay in L.A. or anywhere else. The entire staff was amazing and my husband was really impressed with the attentiveness and manners of the commis waiter (a young man who favors Jack Harlow). At some of the places we have been to this past week, we were left in a mess which made it difficult to enjoy after dinner conversation but not here due to their diligence of keeping things tidy for us.We were asked if we wanted dessert and I always say no because of my gluten allergy but then she said that they had a flourless souffle and we were sold! The dinner finished with our family each grabbing a spoon and enjoying this sweet treat which I will remember fondly. We were so impressed and are already talking about how we will ALWAYS stop here on our visits to LA.Just amazing treatment from everyone. Thank you all so much!Dietary restrictions: Gluten Allergy menuKid-friendliness: They have a children's menu but it may be more towards a well-developed palate unless ordering chicken strips.“

“Absolutely delicious, enough for me to come into help and leave a review. IMO, it gave me a little touch of Hawaii without actually being in there... because unfortunately we can't book an island vacation with bills looming around the corner if you know what I mean . (I ordered a loco moco plate and a musubi)“
