“Great food at this restaurant set in an historic house just over the CT border. We sat in the dining room upstairs, which boasted views of the original beams dating back to the time of Washington. Food was good- started with clams and had French Dip and Pulled pork sandwich as our entrees. Generous portions, good drinks. Would def add into the regular rotation! Waitress was attentive also.“

“Nestled in downtown New Milford, Johana's has expanded from a little restaurant to a medium-sized restaurant -- and the COVID-era outdoor seating is here to stay for good, it seems. Thankfully, the service and food haven't suffered as they've grown. They're only open for breakfast and lunch, so they only get two chances to earn your money. I've only been for breakfast, and it's worth it! I had the scotch eggs, and while I wouldn't order that special again, that's my own personal tastes. I will say they were delicious, cooked perfectly, and I'm glad I tried them. My girlfriend had an omelet with no shortage of fillings. The giant pile of home fries on the side also helped. The coffee is refilled constantly until you tell them to stop.“

“I recently had lunch at The Abbey restaurant, and overall, it was a decent experience. One of the highlights was the fantastic background music that added to the ambiance. The restaurant's interior is quite spacious and wheelchair accessible, which is always a plus. The service was prompt and friendly, making us feel welcome. The parking lot was easy to navigate and had plenty of space, which made parking hassle-free. Additionally, the bathrooms were clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall comfort of the visit. For my meal, I ordered sautéed vegetables and fish. While the vegetables were delicious and cooked to perfection, I found the fish to be a bit lacking in flavor—it was somewhat tasteless and could have used more seasoning, particularly salt. On a scale of 5, I would rate the fish a 4 due to this issue. In summary, The Abbey restaurant is a good option for a meal, especially if you're looking for a spacious and accessible venue with good music and service. However, there might be room for improvement in certain dishes to elevate the dining experience further.“

“Coming here for the first time since it was 1st & 10 and was thoroughly impressed. The food was very good and was very reasonably priced. The service was very good, shout-out Morgan! The only surprise was that it wasn’t more packed. Will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family.“

“We were blown away by the exceptional service. The level of professionalism was refreshing. The staff could have been trained at Downton Abby! We have found the gold standard to which all servers should be compared. The food was simply amazing. My Mole Pork Chop was tender and juicy with an unexpected, and greatly appreciated, subtle crisp on the outside. We will be back, w/ friends!!“

“Delicious! I’d suggest calling ahead during lunch because they get busy with a lunch rush (good for them!) Everything I ordered was ready in the time they told me to come pickup. The few one star reviews tell more about the person who wrote them than the business itself lol! Will be going back.“

“I just LOVE Bull's Bridge and always have. The food is consistantly delicious and always prepared with obvious great attention to taste as well as presentation. Add to this a staff of pleasant, professional servers who strive to please their customers. The menu is amazingly diverse with appetizers, soups, daily specials and entrees that tempt the palate to the point that it is difficult to make choices because EVERYTHING looks so delicious! ( And, it always is.) The seafood is fresh and tasty. There is a wonderful wine and beer selection as well as their dessert drinks. Not to be overlooked are their delicious desserts. The Creme Brulee' is always so fantastic and they also make fantastic Bread Pudding.I feel the portion sizes are great and the prices very reasonable. I enjoy taking friends and family to Bull's Bridge, because I'm confident that they will enjoy their meal and the rustic, relaxing atmosphere.Bull's Bridge Inn is always certain to satisfy everyone.Kid-friendliness: Definitely accomodating to families with children.“

“This establishment is a staple of the town of Bridgewater and for good reason. Aside from the historical significance of the building itself, the food is always delicious, pricing fair, staff genuinely friendly, and atmosphere welcoming. We always feel like we are visiting family when we are here.During warmer weather, there are several tables out front for a nice view of the Town’s main thoroughfare. They stock a generous variety of the mouthwatering Bridgewater Chocolates (of course!), and their store has some light food, treats, and odds & ends. There is also an area with home goods and gifts - all really nice quality.I highly recommend Bridgewater Village Store & Bistro for a tasty meal, or as a spot to stock up on some food and drinks for a road trip or drive around town.“

“The food is AMAZING. Better than what you’d expect for bar food. The in house ranch is worth a mention by itself. It’s so good you’ll put it on everything. The fries are bomb. Wings great. Kids loved their tenders. Will be coming back again when in the area. We didn’t dine in. Took the food to go.“

“The White Horse I imagine hails from the mythical land of Flavortown that Sir Guy of Fieri has told us about so many times. The burgers are made with a delicious blend of beef and cooked to your preferred temperature. The fish and chips, which seems run of the mill, was probably the best that I have ever had. The fish was flaky and flavorful, not just the fried taste, but it was delicious fresh fish. I will be coming back. I recommend it. Thank you Instagram for the ad that sent me here.Parking: If you are going during a busy hour, parking may be rough. Their lot fills up quick.Kid-friendliness: Good family atmosphere.“

“Whenever boating on Candlewood Lake with friends we always stop at this classic restaurant on the lake. Service is attentive, food is good, plenty of choice for fish lovers and non fish eaters. Blackened Mahi Mahi, salads was delicious. Great lake views wherever you sit. Lots of seating on all levels. Service is attentive and friendly.“

“To start with, I love the thick menu! I love that they give the back stories on the local products/farms they use. And the plethora of options make certain that both my husband and I can find something we like no matter what we're in the mood for. It's also nice to go to a restaurant that has more than the same 6 things everybody else has and to know those items are made with locally sourced products. I can end with a cupcake made from scratch which also supports another small business instead of something premade from the same manufacturer everyone sources their desserts from. It's a win for me!“

“Just enjoyed a delicious and relaxing brunch there today. The eggs benedict on their house baked biscuit was amazing and the street fries are a must. Looking forward to venturing back for dinner...soon.“
