DO NOT STAY HERE! We had 2 K room reservations upon returning back into the U.S. from Barbados. March 2024- our flight from Barbados to FL was rescheduled to the next day due to storms in Miami. As soon as I was informed of this, I called the hotel and let them know, and asked them to please cancel my reservations. They informed me of their 48 hr cancellation policy; which I totally get. I asked to speak to a supervisor. She also informed me they would not cancel my reservations; refund room charges. The charges totaled $600 for the 2 rooms. I pleaded my case that it was not just some random last minute cancellation, but we were being held over outside of the country; American Airlines flight 1089 from BGI to MIA 324/24. Something totally out of our control. Still no cooperation. I disputed the charges via my Chase- Marriott Bonvoy card. The hotel still did not credit my charges. I DO KNOW that these decisions are made by each individual hotel. I will NEVER book another stay at the Courtyard Marriott FLL.
