“First time here so we ordered a little bit of everything . HANDS DOWN BEST GRITS I’ve ever had . Waffle hot and sweet and fluffy. Eggs were cooked perfect. Sausage a little too spicy (but would’ve been great later with peppers and onions on a hoagie roll!) and the potatoes - lord the potatoes! Perfect little off the beaten path spot. Did I mention the grits ???? Perfection !“

“Holy cow!! Sacre Bleu! This is an outstanding Haitian restaurant. Truly the best out of the 4 I’ve tried here in Miami/ Fort Lauderdale. The food is fresh, delicious and full of flavor. I ordered the Griot, Diri rice, fried palintain, baked beef meat pies and fresh soursop juice. Everything was really incredible, down to the fried plaintain. I wil be back again and again. If you love Haitian Food this is certainly worth a visit. Also spectacular service! The lady who rang us up was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This is a wonderful spot.“

“Maaannnn..... Listen, I ordered the griot and I must say.... that was the closest to how my grandma makes griot. Food was fresh and on point. Only thing that was a concerning was the piklis... it wasn't that spicy and still in the fermented stage.“

“Miami is amazing because of the melting pot of cultures! Coconutz was an amazing carribean experience. The jerk was on perfect, the veggies were delicious as well... the only thing I would change is the pickings of the goat. “First time here. Will come back to try their actual pizza. Customer service was good. Inside was clean, odor free and well ventilated. Got the griot tacos which came with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese , and their sauce. Tacos were packed with meat. Griot was the actual meat and not the fatty pieces. Solid Passionfruit juice. Very decent prices and was pleasantly surprised.“

The flavors are decadent and have a sweetness that brings memories of your childhood with your cousins at your grandma's house. “This is the first time I had roti, but it won't be the last. If you like curry, and have never had roti, I highly suggest you try Ali's Roti Shop. First, let me say when you go in you are welcomed with a smile. As some of the other reviews have said, the ladies in Ali's are welcoming and don't mind questions. For example, I thought roti was curry wrapped up like a burrito, but the menu says - chicken AND roti or beef AND roti. So hoping they would forgive my ignorance, I asked about this. (You can have yourcurry wrapped in roti like a large sandwich or separate is the answer by the way.) The portions are huge here!! So I suggest getting the roti on the side. Picking it up as a sandwich was yummy but messy. In fact, with the portions as large as this, I could have made several burrito like roti instead of just one huge one. The curry itself was slightly hot, according to my friend who was with me, who is Jamaican. His tolerance is higher than mine. I would say it is medium spicy lol. It was very tasty and filling and not so hot that I couldn't taste the spices and flavor. The curry spice is the star as are the big pieces of moist chicken. I also got a piece of carrot cake, which was moist and delicious with just the right amount of cream cheese icing. It was also a large portion. To drink, I got their pineapple ginger juice that they make there, and it was perfect- spicy and sweet. The place itself is very clean and homey. Overall, a great first experience with roti! Epic fail on pics as usual. Always forget to take til it is too late.“

“Out of this world vegan oxtail! Everything was so tasty and fragrant and the cooking was creative (carrot used as the oxtail bone, genius!) The plates had generous portions and were full of color, prices were totally reasonable, and food was made fresh upon ordering. Fully vegan menu has us excited to come back and try even more.“

“Everything was absolutely amazing. The only downsides to my visit were that our food came out sporadically. I and another person in my group were almost finished with our food by the time the plates for the others in my party received theirs. And the other was that I was told that the lady who makes the conch batter hadn't arrived yet, and that was the main thing on the menu I was craving and wanted to try. It was 12pm when my party dined. Would've given it 5 stars otherwise. So my advice would be to call ahead of time to make sure what you'd like on the menu is available.“

“I ordered through Uber eats never heard about this place before so I wanted to come here and give a proper review. I ordered the jerk chicken and it was delicious.
