“Very good food. Lovely and pleasant service. We had the Mahi tacos (server warns they are small but I found them perfect for lunch) and a triple decker version of the Cuban. My only complaint was the temperature inside, probably less stuffy under the street canopy with the nice fans out there. Great place and some history for the buff in your group.“

“We made a reservation for our Anniversary (24-02-18) after looking at some online reviews in the area we were staying in Miami. SO happy we chose here to celebrate our anniversary! The atmosphere was very inviting, busy yet flowing with a full dining room. Our waiter Andreu was very welcoming asking us if we were there for a special occasion. With our anniversary he provided us each with a glass of champagne! He explained the dinner specials and even brought us a taste of one of the appetizers called Fiocchi Rapers – filled pasta with cheese and pear, with crispy prosciutto and creamy truffle sauce. So delicious! We decided on 2 entrees, the Lasagna Bolognese, and the Crab Ravioli. Absolutely, hands down, some of the best pasta dishes we’ve ever eaten!“

“Not one thing here was bad. Started with the mint lemonade which was frosty and refreshing and tasted super fresh. Started with the tuna tartare which was served with za'atar potato chips. It was delicious and served with a scoop of labneh which enhanced the flavor! The crispy cauliflower was sticky and flavorful and had a wonderful tahini sauce. The chicken was perfect to share amongst two people- it came with tomatoes, pita and dipping sauces. It was cooked to absolute perfection. Our server was super great at giving recommendations and the food came out very quickly. Loved it here!“

“Visiting from L.A. Diego the host, waiter was great. Food was delicious without the salsa, but green and red were home made and made tacos and burritos extra delicious. Tamarindo Spicy Mezcal Margarita was good too. Good Vibes. Outdoor seating in April, some of the best weather. Recommend over other busy and loud Mexican spots on Ocean front with no gimmicks.“

The crust was thin and crispy, but not drenched from the tomato sauce and vegetables. The cheese felt light and creamy, but not too heavy. The seating is supportive of any kind of nice dinner you’d like to have with others—from business meetings to dates. Our waiter was really helpful in walking us through the menu and made great recommendations both in dishes not to miss and what was a reasonable amount of food. The cocktails were solid and varied enough that there was something for everyone. The mushroom in brown butter sauce and the lobster Alfredo are both stand out dishes not to be missed. The staff is incredibly attentive (I dropped my chopsticks and they came with an extra set before I could even pick them up, they held doors open and were so kind). “I swung into this place around 5:30pm. I wanted a quick drink and a snack. I also wanted to see the place that was in the movie Birdcage. From that perspective if was a disappointment. Can’t really see anything but the front of the building. There is a small indoor area but it’s not very impressive. It has a sign for a picture. All that said, the service was really good; they were very attentive. The ceviche was good, nothing too spectacular. The Mai Tai was average at best and way too expensive. Overall it was just a tourist trap in a cool building. It was good for one visit but I would never go back.“
