“Tom Terrific here with another restaurant review. My thanks to a large metropolitan newspaper for their request for an interview. I'm not legally allowed to name them. I know because their lawyer contacted me! ~frown~ I've been wanting to try Brix 33 for some time. It was a Saturday evening when i arrived and the restaurant was full. I took a place at the bar and ordered a Taken For Pomegranate ($12). It's pictured. TAKEN FOR POMEGRANATE A Martini made with Stoli Orange Vodka, Pama Pomegranate Liqueur, & Cranberry Juice. Tasty and refreshing on a warm night. My bartender was very attentive to me. I saw on the menu a limited time chef special so I decided on the Pork Risotto ($25). For those who do not know, a risotto is made with short-grain rice varieties, which tend to be high in starch and create that sticky, creamy texture you're looking for in risotto. It came in 20 minutes and I dug in. The rosotto was perfectly done and the pork was delicious. Sorry I forgot to take a pic. I also had a Beefeater and tonic ($8). The bill came to $48 and I tipped the bartender $10. I spoke to the co-owner Cindy who told me her chef was professionally schooled in New Hampshire if i remember correctly. I cooked in three restaurants but never went to The Pittsburgh School of Culinary Art like I wanted to but i know the basics. Cindy has managed to turn this restaurant into a success and I can't wait to come back and try it again. It's intimate and cozy and on this night had a lady named Amy Lynn playing soft music and gentle, soothing singing. The restroom is located in the rear and was neat and clean. I understand they have quite a wine selection to go with any dish they serve. I see it as a great place to bring a date or your family. Now I see why Brix 33 was named one of the best restaurants in the area. You can go business casual or dress up in a tie as I did. ********************************************* BIG UPDATE: 5 STARS AGAIN! I went back to Brix 33 for a Bucatini pasta and i'm telling you the sauce is to die for. My server Vicky gave me warm bread and seasoned oil and a glass of ice water to start. The Bucatini arrived within the industry standard of 15 to 18 minutes good and hot and it was delicious. Bucatini is the thin pasta that is like a tiny pipe. The pasta was done al dente and was of very good quality. It comes with a crispy breadstick. Check out the pic. My dish came with three large scallops and quite a few tasty medium large shrimp and crab mixed in but the star of the show was the garlicy sauce. It's Heaven in a bowl. Brix gives you enough that you are full when you finish. I came on Tuesday when they have some items 20% off which is very cool. Some of the dishes come with a complimentary side though my dish did not. My Bucatini was under $30 that day and i tipped Vicky $6. I'm going back for the Chicken Marsala. The chef they have is a keeper. I recommend Brix 33 and will be back for more great food.”

“I love good habachi! It was always Arrogators or Kobe... enter Kawa. Staff is great, thorough & timely. Chef's put on a great show, while cooking your food to perfection. Their onion soup has a deep good broth flavor, but missed the green scallions on the top. The salad was fresh and the ginger dressing was delicious , not over dressed. The entrees, veggies & rice were cooked perfectly Hot off the grill, straight onto your plate. The sauces were addictive, especially the yum- yum sauce. The communal dining always brings new & interesting people. The last visit there was a special on crab Rangoon & wine, it varies by the day of the week. Crab Rangoon was not greasy, but crispy & full of crab (imitation) & cream cheese, very good. The house wine was a surprise, in the very best way. Overall, I love adding Kawa to my speciality restaurant list. What's a girl to do? Go where you love the food, even if it is a chain restaurant.”

“First time I've stopped in here. The ambiance is good with a chill vibe. Tishana was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the food was prepared well and hot. Ive had better steaks. My sirloin was flavorful but a bit tough. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. My only knock was the sauce was distinctive mustard flavor and I prefer more tang. The baked beans were good and mushrooms had a bit too much garlic.”

“This is a hidden gem in NPR! They're homemade ice cream is absolutely fabulous! I had the Wild Cherry Cheesecake and the Rocky Road, and by far this is the best ice cream in the area. They're pricing is better than any place around and they have generous portions, I cannot wait to try all of their menu items. The atmosphere in this place is exactly what you want to see when you go into an ice cream parlor. It is so clean and open and friendly, I definitely would go here daily if not just for a scoop of ice cream to try the different menu items and to talk to the owners who are absolutely amazing and extremely friendly and I am excited for them to be here in the neighborhood.”

“OK so it was cold out last night. But our pizzas we ordered were not even warm and I paid extra for expedited delivery. Unfortunately they don't have much varying on the toppings you can order either. So sorry not a fan of the pizza at all. We didn't like our choices we tried two different pizzas we were not crazy about either. But this does not mean someone else will not love and it might not be their fault they just were not our cup of tea, maybe we just are more traditional pizza eaters. But the wings! MY God they were the BEST!! So all in all when you find something you love that much stick with it and know where to order what you love. No pizza for us from here but will DEFINITELY be back for the wings! They were AWESOME! My suggestion would be to be more flexible in the toppings of the pizza and offer more options. The crust had it not been cold was probably or had the potential to be very good. Now offer more than mozz, basil, meatballs and ricotta.”

I always get the chicken California!However, I have to leave a 4 star rating as the last time I went by I was served by a very rude lady in the drive thru that I've never had before. Ranch costs extra, and celery costs extra but on the menu board it said the celery came with a side of blue cheese or ranch, so we ordered the celery with our wings instead of just an extra side of ranch. When we got to the window, she proceeded to argue with us about the ranch being included with the celery. We explained that it was on the menu and would be happy to take a picture for her, and suddenly she said it was not a big deal. I'm not sure why she made such a big deal out of a side of ranch, especially when it's included with the celery we paid for... But I'm still leaving a 4 star because I still mostly love this location :) but she needs to be informed on the menu offerings.”

“i’ve been going to this pizza place for many years since i was a kid to a now adult. i used to watch them even make the pizzas as a kid, using my toes to see higher. me and my grandfather loves their pizza (especially the supreme) and this is our go-to pizza place. when we ask for an extra topping, they do not disappoint as they provide a good amount. the employees are so welcoming and nice as i remembered. although, i do wish their atmosphere in the dining room was recognized more. me and my grandfather dined in once when i was younger — would definitely get business booming. overall, love this pizza place as it holds a special place of nostalgia for me :)”

I am noshing on a delicious chicken empanada now - stuffed full of a curry chicken filling, and the curry seasoning is just right. Then, this morning I shared her muffins with friends for breakfast and the favorites with the group included the carrot cake and two blueberry versions (crumble & cream). Dumplings crab dragons were on point Family all enjoyed the general Taos , chicken, orange - chicken, chicken, and garlic sauce. The Lo mein with vegetables or pork are very good as well. Honestly, I haven't ordered anything from them, that's been subpar They have a large menu as well! So if you're looking for a good Chinese takeout do yourselves a favor and give them a try. I don't write reviews often, but seeing some of the Karen complaints on here is unfair to this establishment.We came in with a party of 8, and this staff went above and beyond to take care of us. They were absolutely slammed, which anyone with a set of eyes could tell. If we needed anything simple between their rounds, we just walked to the bar. It's literally 5 steps... At one point, even the owner came over to say hello and thanked us for our business. It's the small things that I appreciate and make us return customers the few times we visit this establishment while on vacation.Great food, cold beer, and an awesome staff to show for it. The food was so incredible I had to get a crab cake & shrimp salad burrito to bring home for dinner! Channel gave us such cheerful and accommodating service while Marty made us one of the best meals I’ve had while in FL. Crab cake was a massive 5 oz all lump crab cake- broiled perfectly on the outside. And they are right when they say they don’t fake the cake! My husband had the old bay tenders with homemade old bay potatoe chips. He was raving after every bite! We are looking forward to this becoming our new Saturday lunch spot! “After an exhaustive search for a venue that would accommodate a 40-50 person birthday party for my wife’s 50th, we VERY fortunately choose Rossi’s. Other venues ghosted us, couldn’t accommodate anything over 30 people or were difficult to work with. Rossi’s, on the other hand, went out of their way to convey to us that they were willing to do whatever we needed in order to make her milestone birthday a success. There’s nothing like knowing a restaurant is excited about you coming to celebrate at their place. They created a special menu with dinner offerings of our choice and even set up the decorations we delivered to them. Bringing an outside cake was no problem with them. The food came out hot and delicious. We had several guests say they wanted to come back because the food was so good. They LOVED being able to eat their delicious pizza as an appetizer, as Rossi’s cut the pizza into appetizer sized slices. I seriously could write several paragraphs about how great the experience was at Rossi’s but I think you get the idea. So if you are planning a special event, head straight to Rossi’s and you will not regret it.”

“I wanted to try this place for years. Never got a chance to go check them out. And then one day I was sitting at the traffic light nearby and watched a tornado rip apart the awning out front. You might have seen my video on Facebook. After seeing the tornado damage the front of the property, I felt like it was time for me to give them my business. Anything I can do to support them and help them recover. And let's just say, I am now a repeat customer. The customer service here is impeccable. The food is great. The food arrived right on time and was packaged well. We got shrimp chimichangas and a burrito calzonette. Both were delicious. Both were very good sized portions.Added bonus was the chips and salsa I was not even expecting. (We would prefer a spicier salsa, but that is just us.) I am happy to say there was no cilantro sprinkled over anything!! THANK YOU!!!! I am one of those people that it just tastes like soap to. We will definitely order or go to this restaurant again.”

“I have lived in New Port Richey for 25 years. In 1998 New Port Richey was a peaceful small town. Throughout the years as more people have moved here so have impatience and rudeness. Be aware of this before you go to this store. Try to go during non-peak hours to avoid long lines. Customer service is good. Sometimes they are short-staffed as some people do not want to work anymore. Be careful in the parking lot. People drive like bats out of hell. They will stop for a shopping cart yet not for people. The gas prices are lower than at other places. Go during non-peak hours to avoid rude people and long lines.”
