“Cafe Chardonnay is one of our favorites, especially for the duck. Three of four in our party had the duck and loved it! I had the jumbo shrimp over pasta and was disappointed. It lacked real flavor, particularly salt and garlic. I wasn't offered fresh pepper nor grated cheese. Because the other three diners were so happy, I didn't say anything but should have. Overall - we had a wonderful evening with wonderful friends and will return again.“

“I first noticed the environment was very inviting. Our server greeted us immediately and treated us like we were family. very attentive. When our order came out it looked nice and tasted amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection. Seasoned well and yet every bite tasted fresh. Salt and pepper shakers not needed here. I can't wait to come back.“

“Food was excellent. We had the shrimp appetizer with a hot and spicy cocktail. Hubby had beef with potatoes and I had penne a la vodka. Service was great.... Friendly staff. Cool vibe... the music was not our style and a bit loud but fine overall.“

“Calamari with creole mustard sauce was great way to kick a wonderful meal! The Yellowtail Snapper Piccata very fresh and cooked to perfection. Caribbean seafood - the perfect amount of spice and delicious ! The entire staff was attentive and personal. Can't wait to go back!“

“A decent restaurant in a shopping strip that worths 4 but I’ve two strikes against them: seating us at the table right by the busy door for their outdoor service. And the table needs napkin at the foot to stabilize it. By the time we leave, the restaurant is still empty. #2, when ordering Pinot Noir, the server offers two choices. Since I don't know any of the brands, I chose Oregon over California, as Pinot Noir is their thing. In my little experience with this kind of caliber, they’d offer me a taste, and they do, just not to me. The server returned and said, the CA one is drier. I ended up with CA, which is decent.Modern decor with high ceiling, in dark hue. We get there a few minutes before 4, which is their opening time. Thinking we can ask if any openings for us. The staff inside remain inside. Finally when the host comes out, she said yes we’ve openings and will seat you once we’re open.It was 3:56. Her demeanor made me think they’re fully booked …There are few men in casual cloth inside the restaurant - who are they?We’ve four small plates - in fact, they’re not small -:)Corn - innovativeTuscany fish bites - crunchyBaked oysters - really goodCeviche with taro chips - fresh but bit sweetAll are delicious, and take the chip home - too much food.Why do they serve the small plates all at the once? Our small table hardly can accommodate four plates. Is this an industry new norm - it has been this way for a long while.“

“Food is always amazing!! Atmosphere is great. Service is a 5 but I gave it a 4 star because the servers haven’t had the nice personalities they used to have here 4-5 years ago. They do their job but are not as personable. Went there for Valentine’s Day and food was amazing. I highly recommend the Mac ‘n cheese for a side. My wife had the French Dip and I had the Cajun Ribeye!“

“My favorite place since I tried 2 months ago, I’ll go for lunch almost everyday, mostly Boca and Wellington. Im fasting so it’s the most tasty nutritious food I’ve got. The staff is amazing and the cleanliness even in bathrooms is top. I always get the small bowl and always ask for a bonus 1/2 spoon of beans and they always give it with a big smile, not this time. Today I tried the Alton one, I had high expectations. First impression was that it was weird starting the line backwards from the right. The operator was friendly but not when I asked for a tin of beans, 1/4 spoon the most… She said no and she wanted to sell me a cup as an extra. I declined, was rude, then I see the line dirty, stuff looked cold. The other operator was afraid to serve too much shrimp and the feta he spread it crumble by crumble, I was amazed of his skills. Those 2 company money savers fighting for the employee of the month. One thing I like at Bolay is to grab my metal good solid forks, this time I couldn’t, not available. The food was tasty as usual but the temperatures were inconsistent, the colds not too cool and the hots warms. Then after sitting the trash overflowing and dirty bowls piling up were a view that you can’t stop looking at it, under my table on the floor smashed veggies. When I’m leaving I’m looking at the other stations and look the same. I avoided use the bathrooms at that point to wash hands as usual. It wasn’t a staff shortage issue, plenty of labor, customer line clear. These guys went through the pick of rush in lunch time with not interval cleanings. So disappointing see that awesome concept lowing the bar so bad. At the end is all management. Not going back there, I mean, that one in Alton but people, you definitely gotta try it somewhere else and get hook by them. Wellington and Boca In Military staff is the best. Hope Alton improve.“

“This is a very nice place. We ordered the works pizza and it was amazing! The crust was crispy and just right. Everything tasted great, they brought out bread before the pizza with olive oil, that was nice. I would say this is one of the better places to eat in the mall if you have the time. It's a little crowded in there but they have table and booth seating. We had a booth.“

“Always order the Dutch Baby and it is always amazing even back to when I used to have these back in the 80’s from them and they blow my mind with how delicious they are. This location is particularly special thanks to Tracy and how awesome and attentive and great company she is. She really makes it memorable and wanna come back and feel right at home.“

“Our first visit was good but not great. Our burger aficionado didn't like her Kitchen burger. Two had the chicken schnitzel which was good but nothing special. Simple Chicken was the best but the spinach taste was off. Maybe we should have ordered different dishes.“

“We had lunch a couple of days ago. Menu seemed ok for lunch. I ordered the Fish of the day sandwich which was a mahi mahi. The description said lettuce and tomato. It came in a platter full of French fries which I can't eat. I asked for a substitute and stated neither the menu nor the server mentioned the fries. I was told the server will be right in. She never showed up. The sandwich was good. But I was dissatisfied.“

“We celebrated my son's college graduation. Season 52 made a cute sign for him on our table and even gave him a graduation card. Lunch was delicious! They even gave us free dessert! The dining room is gorgeous and the server was terrific!!!“
