50 Best Food Trucks near Palmetto Bay

“I love that this market goes on every Saturday at our beautiful Coral Reef Park. There are two sections to the market and you can take a beautiful walk in the park along the canal to get to both sides. You can also walk through the shady lawn between the two sections. The park has tons of parking. Even if you park on the far west side of the park, it is worth the pretty walk to the farmers market on the east side. You can also park at St. Richards Church and use the crosswalk or across 77th Ave but I don't recommend that because crossing that street is not very safe. I am getting to know and love so many of the vendors. My favorite two vendors get me there almost every Saturday: Mama Dukes for her outstanding Açaí Bowls (she also has Italian Ice) and ImmunizationHolistics for their super fresh pressed juice. I have also enjoyed buying gorgeous orchids for ridiculously low prices. I love to support LOCAL and SMALL BUSINESSES! Some of my other favorite booths include: *Mediterranean hummus, sauce, goat cheese, and bread *Ceviche *Korean kimchee *Puertorican home cooked food *Smoked BBQ *Lots of homemade soaps *Local honey“

“We had the best experience with Pizza Italia's food truck at my daughter's birthday party! The pizzas were a huge hit with all the kids and adults. Everyone loved the delicious flavors and quality of the pizza. The truck was clean and well-organized. We were impressed with how quickly they were able to serve our large group. The kids had a blast watching their pizzas being made right in front of them. It was a fantastic addition to the party and made it a truly memorable day for my daughter. We can't wait to have Pizza Italia back for future events!“

“This place is a hidden gem. The location is in an area you would not look for a place to eat. That being said, the food truck has been here for a few years and doesn't move. The owners have made a comfortable outdoor covered and landscaped area for sitting. The pizza was amazing. The crust was absolutely perfect. The outside and more importantly the bottom was crisp and inside was a soft chew. The service was very friendly and attentive. They also have pasta dishes including lasagna which looked delicious. I will definitely be going back. I highly recommend if you're in the area or not, it's worth going out of you way to try.“

“Came across this hidden gem while I was in the Kendal area. Was in the area looking for food and gave it a shot. Amazing authentic gyros ! Would definitely recommend. I had this chicken and lamb gyro with fries. Please try both if you can. Service was great, super friendly and fast service. Area is very quite and chill at night, the day time might be busier due to the truck being in the lot.“

“This place is a really nice place to come satisfy some of that craving for authentic Dominican cuisine. We came here on a Sunday for lunch, and the place was just bustling with patrons. The wait was out the door with families waiting to be seated as the restaurant was packed to the max and all tables were occupied. We truly lucked out as I was giving the name to the hostess, two places opened up at the bar which I quickly snagged. The service at the bar was friendly and efficient, considering how busy they were at the moment. I ordered a mofongo with chicharron which was presented and beautifully plated. This mofongo had good taste and the chicharron was crunchy and well-seasoned. I do wish that this was served with a side of broth as the mofongo was drying up and the sauce on the plate was not enough to keep it hydrated. My wife had the sancocho soup which was also great-tasting. I would suggest that the meat in the sancocho gets cut in small chunks as it was too big and required you to take it out of the soup into a plate to be cut into smaller pieces. Overall since the place was so busy, there were a few hiccups not worth mentioning but were taken care of.“

“I had been dying to try out Miami Baked since I heard about it a while back. I went last night and it did not disappoint! We ended up waiting about half an hour, which was faster than I expected and much more bearable since it was cold out. The churros and hot chocolate were amazing -- hot chocolate was thick and creamy (almost European style) and the churros were crispy and covered in cinnamon sugar. We also got the Oreo tres leches which was really good. My boyfriend also got the guava tres leches which he liked a lot.“

I was expecting Mexican tacos, but it's Asian fusion place. I honestly almost left as the menu was very difficult to read due to the font and colors. I was having a hard time figuring out the concept and what to order. I suggest they adjust their menu from color and font so it's easier to read. If it's your first time, it's a bit overwhelming. We were about to leave, but saw the slideshow of pictures of food and this was helpful in making a decision in ordering. Food: Crab wontons, shrimp tempura platter with fried rice, mango boba, chispa tacos, and ropa vieja spring rolls. Taco shell were fresh and crisp. The Ropa Vieja spring rolls were tough to eat. The flavor was ok and the meat was not as tender as I expected. $11 for 2 spring rolls was a bit steep. The crab wontons were delicious.
