“I've been coming here for almost 9 years, super chill and relaxed environment. A real friendly staff, and even more friendly patrons. You'll definitely leave with a few new friends. There is no such thing as strangers here, just friends you haven't met yet. You get the bar style environment without the alcohol and the loud obnoxious drunks that want to start fights for no reason. They serve Coffee, Kombucha, Soda, Yerbamate, and have Kava and Kratom. Definitely check it out.“

“Went to The Salty Nun on this Friday with a couple of friends and was NOT disappointed. The day was beautiful so, we snagged a seat outside in the shade and I got to sit in 1 of the swings under an awning. We had Hangover Burgers and a Mahi-Mahi Sammich (I don't remember the official name of that one, sorry). First, we thought these would be 2 smaller burgers. They were not. It was 2 patties on 1 burger bun and it was FANTASTIC. The star of the show though was those FRIES. I don't know how y'all get them that shape but, I don't even care. They are too good! We also had the Fried Green Tomatoes as an app and they were delicious. The aioli was perfect for them but, I preferred them just the way that they were made. The waitress was friendly and kept us happy. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name but, she had dark hair and may have been pregnant? I think I heard it in passing conversation, I'm not guessing based on looks. We waddled out of there already plotting to come back for more good eats in this great atmosphere. The neighborhood is very pedestrian friendly and we saw lots of doggos!“

“History grooves here. What a cool place. It has this Gatsby/20s/speakeasy vibe-with an intriguing craft cocktail menu. I don't think they serve food, but that would kind of ruin the decadent, club mood. It's so slinky, sophisticated, grown up and sort of sexy. Eating would just shine daylight into the mysterious dark corners. Hard to believe it was a bank first-then a movie theater-then, most recently, the State Theatre. Located in the Central Ave entertainment district downtown, it's an easy walk to so many restaurants and bars. I was here in April 2024 to see a live music event (The Wilson Van) and the accoustics were great. There was high table seating along the sides of the room and some stadium seating in the balcony above (I think there was a bar upstairs, too) The bar downstairs was super busy but the servers were great-really hustling and super friendly. I can't wait to go back. I need to explore the space-and that bar menu some more! The roaring 20s are back!“
