“My husband, Al, and I dined at the Chef's Table on Feb 19 2024 and celebrated my birthday. We ordered from the chef's tasting menu and could not have been more pleased. It was one of the best restaurant meals we have had in a very long time. You see I am a classically trained and award-winning chef in my own right so my standards are quite high and I am, more often than not, disappointed in restaurants, even fine dining establishments. Al started with the "Heartbreaker" Cocktail, which was excellent then he had the mushroom and chive crepe torte for an appetizer, exceptional and enough for 2 to share actually so we brought part of it back to the hotel and had it for lunch the next day. He then chose the Duck confit, also outstanding. For dessert he had the chocolate torte with the toasted marshmallow ice cream and caramel sauce, again, beyond delicious and the ice cream was the best thing i've had in my mouth in a long time. Al also did the wine pairing with his courses. I sampled each pairing and they were perfectly matched. I tried the Mr. Pink as an aperitif and loved every drop but the pink peppercorn's stole the show. Then I started with the foie gras. Every bite just brings you to your knees. This was the main reason we selected The Chef's Table to begin with because I had to have foie gras. I chose the filet for my entree and I must say it may have been one of the best filet's i've ever eaten. Cooked perfectly medium rare with a char that was to die for. I brought part of my filet back to the hotel to go with the torte for lunch the next day. Even warmed up it was delicious. For dessert I had the mission fig bread pudding, which had a fantastic texture and was the perfect level of sweetness. I paired the pecan pie martini with it and it was decadent and complimented the dessert perfectly. I did not opt for the wine pairing as a sip of two from Al's were enough for me. Our server, JJ, was attentive, funny, and generous with her time. The manager came by twice to chat with us. The atmosphere was romantic but not stuffy and we had a great view of the kitchen, which as a chef is simply theatre for me. Lastly, the prices were not stupid. This kind of tasting menu can easily run well over $100 pp without the wine pairing. I appreciate the fact that, while affordable, it was elegant and indulgent. This is a new one that we came across today and was very satisfied with the food, service and the managers even took care of us. We recommend you try this place if your in the area. I get the 4way extra wet. This one has spaghetti, chili, onions or beans and lots of very finely shredded cheese. I have been going to the ones in Florida since I was a child. The owner is from Ohio and so am I.”

“Local Gem We live a 15 minute stroll from Mangoni's Italian Market, but at "feels like" temps hovering around 105°, strolling to lunch hasn't been as attractive ? Sunday, hubby wanted a relaxing lunch with sangria! So, we drove (& charged our EV in the parking garage). We had the entire patio to ourselves, as diners likely expected unbearable heat. Mangoni's pergola and great ceiling fans made patio dining the experience we wanted---even when the afternoon storm blew up from the west, we were protected from rain. We enjoyed our favorite, GF goat cheese pizza, with our sangria. Unlike most places, Mangoni's GF crust is an excellent, thin cauliflower crust. And, it’s not an upcharge. We also enjoyed meeting Georgia, the regional manager, who chatted with us about the social hour (11-6pm weekdays). She made a GF garlicky cheesy Flatbread for us to try--now we have more reason to stroll (or drive) over! Oh, and take away is a frequent option. Really, Mangoni's is a local gem.”

The place is not very big, and every time we have gone we have gotten tables, although I have not visited it during rush hours. It is a clean place with good parking. Despite being a place that sells fish and sushi, it doesn't smell bad at all. On the contrary, the first time I visited I was impressed by the delicious smell the restaurant had.”

“We enjoyed a delightful evening at Matthew’s Steakhouse, to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary this weekend. Owners Chystal and Eddie were the perfect hosts, greeting us warmly at the door and attending to our every need throughout the evening. They never left the dining room, continuously making the rounds to check on everyone in the completely full dining room. Henry was the perfect server, making knowledgeable suggestions and remaining unruffled with a smile on his face for our every request. We started with a delicious wine paired with the cheese platter, which was piled high with interesting cheeses, crackers, and other tidbits. Seated right next to the open grill, we were able to chat directly with Chef Aaron, who cooked our filets to perfection, just as ordered. They were served a perfect medium temperature, and were melt-in-your mouth juicy and well seasoned. I added shrimp to my order which were plump, HUGE, and also well seasoned. The baked potatoes were also huge, and sour cream was provided upon request. We enjoyed the pampering and attention to details provided by the entire staff throughout the evening, and can’t wait to return!”

“My family of six….here on vacation… was stranded in the parking lot of this Arby’s for over five hours while my husband replaced the alternator in our van. The employees at this Arby’s were absolutely some of the best humans on earth. Nancy came and passed out cold waters to my four children and us. The manager on duty, Tony, came to check on us and offered for the children to stay inside in the cool, offered us drinks, and food. After over five hours, we came in to wash up and Tony gave us food and drinks for the long drive home. This type of hospitality is hard to find, and I am so thankful my children could witness such caring humans. These folks will always be remembered by my family. My favorites are the bean burrito which I love with the "Fire Sauce" and the Black Bean Crunchwrap, also with "Fire Sauce". I always eat the Crunchwrap first then a bite of the bean burrito and I am too full to finish it. The bean burrito heats up nicely in a microwave the next day. The Crunchwrap can be personalized. They have an app where you can order ahead and personalize it. Anyway five stars for consistently good fast food!”

Axum Coffee is right up front and center as you enter the building, easy. Sold. I don't remember what I got exactly.I commandeered the counter employee to help me build a drink. I knew I wanted something cold, hazelnutty, sweet but not too sweet, with an extra shot, and they helped me build the perfect drink.I sipped on that thing for about 10 minutes, because I'm a glutton, but I did enjoy every sip. “My family and I started our trip with a reservation from 7/2/23-7/8/23 at a different Orlando Disney Good Neighbor hotel. After a long 20 hour drive from Houston to Orlando with 2 5-year olds in the car, we finally arrived to our initial hotel at 1am. Upon checking in and going up to our rooms, we were shocked and disgusted to find a full, bloody, bug on the sheets of one of our beds. As an RN, all my fellow healthcare providers can relate to me when I say the panic about this bug being a bed bug was REAL. The initial hotel manager was not at all shocked when I reported this to them. They were not at all accommodating or helpful in trying to reach some sort of resolution in regard to finding alternative lodging options for us at least just for this initial evening of our trip. After speaking with Marriott Bonvoy loyalty, we were instructed to go to TownePlace Suites by Marriott at Flamingo Crossings. Despite it being 3:30 AM at this point, the second we stepped foot into the lobby, we were immediately welcomed and reassured that our concerns would be resolved in due time. Our girls fell in love with this hotel, as did my husband, sister, mother and I. The staff at TownePlace Suites were above and beyond to ensure we knew that how we were treated at the initial hotel, is not at all the Marriott way. There are three truly stand-out employees at TownePlace Suites who I would like to give an honorable mention to. Hannah, Emily and Haley ensured that our park time In the Disney parks was not at all interrupted by dealing with this hotel debacle. Even though it was a busy, holiday week, they prioritized customer service and never once made us feel like we were a burden to them. My husband, daughter and I will be traveling to Orlando every 4-6 months for medical appointments for our daughter, and thanks to the customer case we received from Hannah, Emily and Haley, we will be staying at TownePlace Suites at Flamingo Crossings each and every time we visit Orlando moving forward. THANK YOU!”

The atmosphere was romantic but not stuffy and we had a great view of the kitchen, which as a chef is simply theatre for me. Lastly, the prices were not stupid. This kind of tasting menu can easily run well over $100 pp without the wine pairing. I appreciate the fact that, while affordable, it was elegant and indulgent. “Local Gem We live a 15 minute stroll from Mangoni's Italian Market, but at "feels like" temps hovering around 105°, strolling to lunch hasn't been as attractive ? Sunday, hubby wanted a relaxing lunch with sangria! So, we drove (& charged our EV in the parking garage). We had the entire patio to ourselves, as diners likely expected unbearable heat. Mangoni's pergola and great ceiling fans made patio dining the experience we wanted---even when the afternoon storm blew up from the west, we were protected from rain. We enjoyed our favorite, GF goat cheese pizza, with our sangria. Unlike most places, Mangoni's GF crust is an excellent, thin cauliflower crust. And, it’s not an upcharge. We also enjoyed meeting Georgia, the regional manager, who chatted with us about the social hour (11-6pm weekdays). She made a GF garlicky cheesy Flatbread for us to try--now we have more reason to stroll (or drive) over! Oh, and take away is a frequent option. Really, Mangoni's is a local gem.”

This is a new one that we came across today and was very satisfied with the food, service and the managers even took care of us. We recommend you try this place if your in the area. I get the 4way extra wet. This one has spaghetti, chili, onions or beans and lots of very finely shredded cheese. I have been going to the ones in Florida since I was a child. “We enjoyed a delightful evening at Matthew’s Steakhouse, to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary this weekend. Owners Chystal and Eddie were the perfect hosts, greeting us warmly at the door and attending to our every need throughout the evening. They never left the dining room, continuously making the rounds to check on everyone in the completely full dining room. Henry was the perfect server, making knowledgeable suggestions and remaining unruffled with a smile on his face for our every request. We started with a delicious wine paired with the cheese platter, which was piled high with interesting cheeses, crackers, and other tidbits. Seated right next to the open grill, we were able to chat directly with Chef Aaron, who cooked our filets to perfection, just as ordered. They were served a perfect medium temperature, and were melt-in-your mouth juicy and well seasoned. I added shrimp to my order which were plump, HUGE, and also well seasoned. The baked potatoes were also huge, and sour cream was provided upon request. We enjoyed the pampering and attention to details provided by the entire staff throughout the evening, and can’t wait to return!”
