Got the omakase. The first half was great! Loved the first half. After the second half it was regular foods, simple sushi/nigiri. I was expecting more customization like the first half. At $90 I expected to be wowed the whole time but it definitely got mediocre after the shooters. We got their toro from the today's special and that alone was better than the omakase.**Overall would come back but not for omakase.
GREAT restaurant! We loved Kai Zan! It is such a cute date night spot, very unassuming location but plenty of parking available and the inside is very nice! The menu is innovative and so delicious! High recommend the mussels, the pearls, the special tuna belly was some of the best tuna we’ve ever had! The service was fantastic and top notch and we loved everything we had.
