“This is my third visit to this upscale Italian restaurant in downtown. I love their service as the staffs notes down all our requests and suggest the best for us. The menu is vegetarian friendly or you can request to customise. The star dish was their ricotta dumplings. It’s a 10/10 for me. Every item that we ordered was delicious. We got a complimentary birthday cake as we’re celebrating a friend’s birthday. The crispy chicken, for example, was served in a delicious coconut jus with subtle flavors that will keep you wondering how the heck they cooked everything so perfectly!Reservations are recommended as this spot gets pretty busy, but the service was quick despite the dining room being so busy.I can’t wait to come back here and try everything else on their menu.”

My pleasure. The owner Zyra gracious and caring. I had Potato soup that was incredible. A Chicken Tostada Zyras moms recipe and she made a couple changes the sauces wow! The steaks I had a Ribeye. One of the best ever. I have dined at all the high end eateries steak joints in the city. This place is a gem. Had to try the desert. We had a chocolate flourless fudge cake. We indulged. “Absolutely adorable decor as you step into this neighborhood local joint, filled with music legend memorabilia and tv's lit with tunes from Queen. The menu is simple with each burger having its own personality. Each sandwich can be made into a chicken sandwich or a meatless veggie option as well. Had the curds and Parmesan fries on the side. Cute trivia cards to entertain you and your table guests. Was excellent quality food, and wonderfully friendly service.”

“I took my Italian mom here who was visiting from Indianapolis. We had an amazing time! I could tell the servers were very busy (I work just down the street so I know how busy Fulton Market gets on a Friday night) but the entire staff was incredibly kind and attentive despite the high volume. Our server Haley was very sweet and timed everything perfectly. She recommended the seabass and was spot on. I would also like to shout out the server assistants who also had great timing and were very helpful! Will definitely be going back.”

“Today, we hosted a couples shower at Stay and Play Cafe! It was beyond amazing! The owners, Yesenia and Jose were so easy and delightful to work with, the staff was attentive, recommending and teaching games to our guests of all ages, the food was delicious(cheesy eggs and quesitos were scrumptious), and the atmosphere was just perfect! I can't recommend this cafe enough. I look forward to having other functions here and/or coming with a group of friends. I can't wait to start spreading the word to family and friends. “Mario C is THE BEST waiter! Gave great suggestions that were spot on for Prosecco...2 different bottles and each was a perfect companion to our lunches. Also, good beer selection and cocktail. We had artichoke and sunchoke and meatball for shared appetizers, followed by each of us with a different pasta: caico buccatini, bolognese, gnocchi and spaghetti and one stuffed cabbage...all delicious! For dessert...chocolate sorbet, coconut cookie, almond Gelato and expresso martini.A delightful afternoon...not rushed...great food and beverages!Ask to be seated in Mario C's station!”

“Best sushi I've had outside of Japan! Sometimes, omakase and high-end sushi spots try to get too crazy with their menu, but KND is simple, focusing on the quality of the dish. Our chef was very skilled and gave us a rundown of where they acquire all their fresh ingredients. The sake also paired wonderfully with the sushi. Our 16-course omakase was the perfect amount. A great place for a special occasion.”

Our table shared a baguette which was nice with the herbed butter and tiny anchovy. I would say this is a stellar place for whisky and bourbon selections if that's your thing. It's not your place if you're on a budget as the prices were a bit steep. Noisy atmosphere. Cute woodsy inn theme.”

Never have had such attentive yet not overbearing service. These people are doing what they love and if not they are excellent at acting like they do! Oriole is about you enjoying the complete experience of fine dining without being stuffy or pretentious. It's been a week and I can still feel the serotonin buzz every time I think of one of the gastronomically amazing dishes or delicious wine pairings that my friend and I had. I know I'm laying it on thick but so wowed by everything!”

I thought the atmosphere on the lower level was a little too dark for my taste but it didn't detract from the service or the food. Dine upstairs if you prefer more lighting but it's also dim. Now the food. The salads were amazing. Our table had the lyonnaise and the wedge salads. Both were excellent. The ribeye steak, fried chicken, steak frites, all wonderful and recommended. One of our party ordered the salmon which is cooked medium. He said he should have ordered it well done but that is more his preference. Our server asked if it was OK and he said yes so no reflection on the quality of the dish. The creamed spinach is good but very rich. The mashed potatoes were amazing. I will definitely return just to try more dishes. Sorry no pictures. Drinks were amazing as well. Oh, forgot to mention large portions on everything.”

“First off, the vibes here are immaculate. The restaurant is located on the second floor of Soho House, and the ambiance is very intimate--perfect for a smaller party. The menu is pretty straightforward. There aren't a lot of options to choose from, but each item is very unique. What we ordered: Caliente en los Trópicos: pretty yummy! Supposed to be spicy, but the spice is not overbearing at all. An interesting cocktail. Ceviche: a great way to start the dinner. Very shareable; love the balance of sour and savory flavors. Tuna Tostada: my favorite! I've never had a tuna tostada before, and it's nothing like what I expected. Mussels: you cannot go wrong with the mussels. The bread goes so well with this. Considering the dishes seem so original and the quick service, I'd definitely recommend this spot to my friends.”

The whole experience was giving East meets West as it covers a good range of dishes/inspired cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised with how each courses was planned out, with very balanced flavor combinations, leaving me full but not uncomfortably stuffed. My favorite we're definitely the tuna crudo, braised beef and fiancier, hopefully that make the official menu one day. Overall great experience and the downstairs speakeasy space makes it so fun to eat and catch up.”

“Wow! We arrived a little early for our Saturday at 7:30 dinner reservations in hopes of getting seated early, if there was a chance. It was restaurant week in Chicago Osteria was very busy. Unable to get a table early, we happily sat at the bar and waited. After debating on what drinks to order, we opted for the "just bring me wine" . The bartender asked if we were having the restaurant week menu, as that had specific wines to go with the courses (which is what we went with). We were seated a little after 7:30, no complaints on my part over that, as they were very busy. When a place is participating in an event such as restaurant week and there is a set menu, one shouldn't expect any substitutions from said set menu. I completely understand this, although having to eat gluten free poses a bit of an issue for me. The options for the main course of the set menu wasn't going to be a problem for me. I inquired about the ingredients on the first course. I knew the bread and roasted garlic, as well as the meatballs were a no go for me and explained that I couldn't eat the prepared salad due to the croutons. Much to my glee, I was offered a caprese salad instead of the Caesar. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the bread with roasted garlic in oil and vinegar, as well as the meatballs and Caeser salad. The soup was a delicious chicken and vegetable soup. At 8:10 started to get nervous about the time, due to us having tickets to see Drunk Shakespeare at 9pm. This was poor timing on my part, I should have reserved our table for 7pm or earlier not 7:30pm. When our waiter came over to check on us I explained that we needed to put out by 8:30(ish). Mild concern came over his eyes and he went back to check in at the kitchen. Moments later, a gentleman came to our table (I'm assuming the manager) to discuss our predicament. He kindly explained that our main course wasn't going to be ready for another 20 minutes (the restaurant was very busy). The timing would have been just fine any other night for us, but not that night. After a discussion with the manager, we all came to an agreement of us having a second bowl of soup and paying ala carte for what we had eaten and forgoing the set menu. I take full responsibility for our poor timing and am delighted in how the restaurant was gracious and accommodating. Our waiter brought over two glasses of chocolate wine to finish off our meal. The food was outstanding and the service was even better. Next time we are in Chicago, I'll make sure to set enough time aside to enjoy the full eating experience.”

My husband is French and used to work in the food industry so to say our standards are high is an understatement. You will come out of an experience here a few pennies poorer yet you will chalk this up to a rich gastronomical experience bar none. The service is impeccable (timing and engagement) and food, sublime. I was so looking forward to sharing angel food cake with my son as we did while he was growing up but we simply indulged all evening and had no room but for espressos. We enjoyed a bottle of Crémant to start and followed with a bottle of Beaujolais Fleury which was incredible once it opened…. The Dorade was outstanding and my family enjoyed the pâté en croute, soupe à l’onglon gratinée , les escargots bourguignon, macarons avec foie gras; and absolutely adored their aged steaks… the experience was outstanding and was well worth the flight to make a memorable evening with our beloved son. Their A5 Wagyu beef is FLOWN IN DAILY from Japan and Australia!!! Their AYCE option includes options like wagyu, crab legs, sushi, ramen, lobster and more; it’s unbelievably good! The shrimp balls were so good - Deep fried with a tasty sauce and I loved putting my crab legs in the broth and eating them warm; they honestly tasted great just chilled! This beautiful restaurant is great for a date night or girls night out and they even have happy hour and I love the little cute robot servers they have rolling around! The interior is very modern and even though there can be A LOT of people around, the noise doesn’t get overwhelming. Dont just take my word for it- go experience this amazing restaurant yourself!”

“What a culinary delight! We were the first guests to arrive at the start of dinner service during a mid-week evening. We were warmly welcomed by the coat check host. He confirmed our reservation calling us by name. Our seating preference was requested, and we were shown to the main dining room. Joan Miró art work, large decorative vases of flowers and subtle classical music surrounded us. Fabulous. Our waiter, the warm and open José as well as his associates exuded pride and deep knowledge of the evening's beverage and culinary offerings. There are prix fixe meals, but one can order ala carte, we learned. My personal standouts were: the Wild Mushroom Soup, and Peking Duck with lentils and mandarin glaze. I finished with Artisan Cheeses that included the mushroomy Normandy Camembert - a flavor I've only experienced once before! The wine list is extensive: half-bottles as well as by the glass, for those who prefer more options. I recommend looking at the digestif menu too. Varied, surprising and good! I am including a couple photos of the Ladies Room on the upper level: a meticulously clean, elegantly linened, relaxing space.”

For our second baby moon we decided to treat ourselves to an experience at El Ideas. The whole experience was amazing! The location is really unassuming and not in some pretentious building or area. It was such a laid back yet exquisite experience. Guests were allowed to wonder the space and take in the food preparation. You could ask questions of the chefs. It was really neat and nothing like I've ever experienced. Since there are a limited number of reservations the entire staff is really attune to guests needs. I have no complaints about any of the dishes. Some of the standout dishes were the shrimp dish which was an ode to the history of Chicago fried shrimp. The Swedish style meatball cooked in smoked beef tallow with gnocchi was so well balanced. The smoked duck bahn mi and smoke duck pho was amazing . The Lamb dish was out of this world! I'm still in awe of the vanilla shake and fries dessert. It was truly a work of art. The vanilla with the crunchy potato bits and potato and leak soup just worked. I could take one of those every day. This experience is definitely worth it! I hope to be back in the future!”

I also ordered the char grilled pork vermicelli bowl which came with a generous portion of pork. Note, they open at 10 am, even if they don't answer the phone. Paid street parking. Thanks Ever team for a great redemption and treating us to a very special evening!Original review for reference:My wife and I dined at Ever for our anniversary this year, and I had contemplated leaving a review but decided to share our experience. We were unfortunately let down. Overall, the food was not what we expected. There were a couple dishes that were very salty, and at least one that just lacked flavor in general. The hamachi was incredible, though, i wish the rest was just as good. The service, although very professional and consice, simply lacked personality and any sense of individualism. It also just felt a bit rushed and that they were on a mission to complete the job. We were asked to supply them with info on special occasions before we arrived, which I did. I expected at least the service staff to be aware of our anniversary but as we walked in the hostess asked us if we were celebrating anything and us telling her was clearly the first time any employee there had heard it. We've dined elsewhere at less rewarded and reputed restaurants where even the valet knew, and we were greeted with a special glass of wine and handwritten note. I don't want to sound pretentious here...but the bill was not light. We spent a significant amount of money at Ever only to leave feeling unfulfilled, and we are not partivularly wealthy. However, we are both in the food industry and looked at this experience as a sort of pilgrimage. Perhaps we should have said something while there but I think we were just a bit shocked. I would not recommend the Ever experience.”

“Avec has been on my list for a while and I finally was able to stop in with a friend for brunch! After tasting, I regret that it took me this long. Avec is a quaint spot with family style seating so I do recommend making a reservation if possible. We made our reservation for a Saturday and we were seated immediately at our reservation time by an eager and inviting hostess. Our server greeted us immediately and walked us through their brunch menu. The server was friendly, and gave some solid suggestions which was helpful as Avec has so many great dishes for brunch. After careful consideration and server recommendation, we landed on: -Mimosas (its brunch, of course we did a round of mimosas.) -French toast: topped with ricotta and berry compote garnished with mint and almonds. I loved that it was not too sweet, it has great balance. -Pork Belly: OMG nice and fatty with the perfect tender texture (not too chewy) it was nicely glazed for a bold flavor. -Chorizo Stuffed Medjool Dates: Talk about the star of the show! Literally chorizo stuffed dates wrapped in bacon abbd a pepper tomato sauce. Sweet and savory perfect balance for brunch. To go I ordered their coffee cake as well as a iced coffee. Even the pastries were remarkable! I cannot wait to get back to Avec. For the service of course, but also for their dates!”

“What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said or known to be true. Little bad wolf has the best Mac and cheese I've ever had in my life. I don't know what they do but it's liquid crack in those noodles and I just can't get enough of it.The burgers there are also top five in Chicago. Definitely try the bao buns and the tacos as well as they have tons of flavor and they never disappoint. One of my favorite appetizers is the elotes which is absolutely amazing.I love this place I just wish it was closer to me and they took reservations but I'll keep coming back as long as they got the liquid cheddar crack.”

“The staff at Lula Cafe was incredibly accommodating to our almost 2-year-old toddler. After we met the owner, another server came over and even addressed our son by his first name! It was such a small but thoughtful touch. In addition, the owner knew we were traveling home the next day so she took the liberty to make our last dish a little smaller so we didn't have leftovers that would go to waste. I was just blown away by the attention to details and hospitality. As a huge bonus, the food and cocktails were incredible! Will definitely go back when we find ourselves in Chicago again.”
“It's not just the food that makes a restaurant, it's also the vibe. The minute you enter Oriole you know you're in for an evening that you won't soon forget. Never have had such attentive yet not overbearing service. These people are doing what they love and if not they are excellent at acting like they do! Oriole is about you enjoying the complete experience of fine dining without being stuffy or pretentious. It's been a week and I can still feel the serotonin buzz every time I think of one of the gastronomically amazing dishes or delicious wine pairings that my friend and I had. I know I'm laying it on thick but so wowed by everything!”

“The taste was much better than I expected. The two of us spent over 500, with nearly 100 in tips. The A5 Wagyu was more delicious than I imagined, and the oysters are definitely a must-order item at their restaurant. The only issue was personal; I’m someone who doesn’t like being frequently asked "how is everything" while eating. Although the person in charge was very enthusiastic, it was just a bit too much for me. I hope in the future they could pay a bit more attention to individual customer preferences.”

“A limited menu with decent food. Had the winter squash which was delish, especially the flavor combinations and goat cheese puree. Our table shared a baguette which was nice with the herbed butter and tiny anchovy. I would say this is a stellar place for whisky and bourbon selections if that's your thing. It's not your place if you're on a budget as the prices were a bit steep. Noisy atmosphere. Cute woodsy inn theme.”

“I’ve found one of the best ALL YOU CAN EAT HOTPOT experiences here in Chicagos south loop and it’s at Wagyu House! Everything is superior quality - the meats, the service and the ambiance. Their A5 Wagyu beef is FLOWN IN DAILY from Japan and Australia!!! Their AYCE option includes options like wagyu, crab legs, sushi, ramen, lobster and more; it’s unbelievably good! The shrimp balls were so good - Deep fried with a tasty sauce and I loved putting my crab legs in the broth and eating them warm; they honestly tasted great just chilled! This beautiful restaurant is great for a date night or girls night out and they even have happy hour and I love the little cute robot servers they have rolling around! The interior is very modern and even though there can be A LOT of people around, the noise doesn’t get overwhelming. Dont just take my word for it- go experience this amazing restaurant yourself!”

We sat at the bar and got to see the drinks being prepared which was a great experience. Have heard good things about the food though we didn’t try any this time. The drinks are INCREDIBLE. This is a MUST GO in Chicago. We made a mistake with our reservation and they were kind enough to still put us on the waiting list and we were able to include this in our trip. We stood near the bar and the service was impressive for how busy it got. The bartender really could shake those drinks! The $7 teeny espresso martini for me and husband ordered an old fashioned with wild turkey rye $8 ...bartender asked if he wanted to upgrade to the Bourbon the drink increased to $17. He should have said something. Errrr. Seats opened at the bar. (Only can order food if seated) We ordered the mussels which had a lemon vermouth sauce. Dipping the crusty bread in the sauce was my favorite part. The ambiance is fancy and artfully arranged. (4.5/5)”
“Fabulous night last week Friday 4/19 and again for the Anniversary party tonight on 4/25. All the Managment team and Staff throughout the night were amazing. I would especially like to call out Lea, Leann, and Ace. On both nights not only did they take care of the parties I was with, they went above and beyond and treated us like family. I appreciate the kindness and the education about the fish and the drinks. Everyone is so amazing. Everyone is so amazing and kind. We couldn't be more happy with out experiences. “My absolute favorite tiki spot in Chicago. This is a place I always come no matter how long I'm visiting Chicago.Atmosphere: It's so fun, feels very tiki like and tropic. Even the staffs uniform fits so perfectly with the theme.Drinks: LOVE LOVE most of the drinks on the menu. I'm a huge tiki fan and a bit of a snob when it comes to the drinks but this place always gets it right. My favorite drink will always be Three Dots and a Dash.Food: We got the veggie curry and spring rolls. The curry was really good and kind of on the spicy side. Note, it's a pretty big bowl of curry so could even be shared. The spring roll filling was delicious, the roll itself was a bit more oily than other ones I've had.Prices are fairly reasonable considering the amount of food and drink you get.”

He confirmed our reservation calling us by name. Our seating preference was requested, and we were shown to the main dining room. Joan Miró art work, large decorative vases of flowers and subtle classical music surrounded us. Fabulous. Our waiter, the warm and open José as well as his associates exuded pride and deep knowledge of the evening's beverage and culinary offerings. There are prix fixe meals, but one can order ala carte, we learned. My personal standouts were: the Wild Mushroom Soup, and Peking Duck with lentils and mandarin glaze. I finished with Artisan Cheeses that included the mushroomy Normandy Camembert - a flavor I've only experienced once before! The wine list is extensive: half-bottles as well as by the glass, for those who prefer more options. I recommend looking at the digestif menu too. Varied, surprising and good! I am including a couple photos of the Ladies Room on the upper level: a meticulously clean, elegantly linened, relaxing space.”

Supposed to be spicy, but the spice is not overbearing at all. An interesting cocktail. Ceviche: a great way to start the dinner. Very shareable; love the balance of sour and savory flavors. Tuna Tostada: my favorite! I've never had a tuna tostada before, and it's nothing like what I expected. Mussels: you cannot go wrong with the mussels. The bread goes so well with this. Considering the dishes seem so original and the quick service, I'd definitely recommend this spot to my friends.”

Menu is very straightforward and delicious. There is indoor seating is minimal and when they sell out for the day, that's it so go early and get it when you can. The restroom is clean and they play some funky jams. We really love this place and hope they stay forever. Sitting here on a Sunday when they open at noon writing this makes it that much better!”

“Truly enjoyed the Puttery experience! We came in on a Saturday during St. Patrick’s day weekend. Fortunately, Ryan advised us to come during a time in which we can enjoy the game and the ambiance.The restaurant/bar area on the 2nd floor was great for eating and obtaining our amazing drinks. They have some of the best mixed drinks in West Loop! The BBQ on Saturday Night was my favorite. We took our drinks to the 3rd floor in the lounge/bar to have a nice, cozy conversation before the game. The patio had some great views of West Loop.We took to the holes when we were all warmed up for our mini golf session. Although the 3rd floor course had flatter and more adventurous areas, the 2nd floor course was more intimate and challenging. There can only be up to 4 people in a traveling group though. My date and I ended up having a fun time.I want to thank Ryan, the manager, for helping to make this a memorable experience. We will be back soon with friends.”

“This place was very good and authentic. I bought a couple pounds of chicharrones which came in huge slabs. If you just want to snack, it could use some seasoning, but for cooking it's perfect. The menudo was flavorful and thick and came with seasoning and sides. The staff were very busy when we arrived, but the owner was very nice and talkative. He explained everything in detail to my wife while I drooled over all the meat.”

“I chose the Walnut Room for a late lunch with a colleague because it covers all the bases -cozy atmosphere, good menu choices with reasonable prices, and most of all excellent service from a very hospitable and attentive server. Who can beat the yummy chicken pot pie that comes with a fresh salad for $15 in an iconic cozy dining room with a great view in downtown Chicago? We were able to have a great lunch with good conversation all in the space of an hour. I have been to the Walnut Room during their busiest Christmas season with family members and have always had a great experience - even though I've never been seated next to the giant Christmas tree! Actually, there's not a bad seat in the place. Even when we had to wait awhile for our food, the atmosphere was so exciting, it was all worth the wait and the food and service was great. I call the Walnut Room "Tried and True"!”

Vinny was our waiter and gave us a great experience along with a great service. The food was amazing, we enjoyed the Crispy shrimp for a starter along with steaks for dinner. One of the best meals and dining experiences I have had in years. Steak48 and Vinny made our Chicago trip worth it in just one evening. Also I recommend getting an old fashion while here!”

It was family style and for 5 people we shared 2 kebabs , falafel (MUST HAVE) , eggplant spread (GREAT ON PITA), potato's (THE BEST POTATOES IVE HAD) , and beets and citrus. It came with free pitas and with 5 drinks it came to about $45 split evenly for 5 people, which wasn't bad at all for the quality of the food and no one left hungry. I will definitely visit again.”
“I stopped by this place a lot because I was headed elsewhere and the baristas have customized specials that is listed on the mini chalkboard by the register when you order. I like customized drinks so depending when you go in, those drinks change daily. There is no issues with service and the drinks are always delicious. Since the location is downtown near the shopping district, the decor is much more imaginative and creative than those standard drive through locations. I imagine there used to be heavy foot traffic so assuming the clientele is more on the tourist side as there is ample seating. Average cost of customized drink is $10”

“Cocktails were excellent! Had a Hendricks martini and Yu-go Hugo. The baby iceberg salad, similar to a wedge salad, was delicious. We both had the twin petite filets wrapped in prosciutto medium but it was undercooked unfortunately. Waited for a couple minutes but the server wasn't around so we just made due with it. Whipped potatoes desperately needed salt. Dessert was creme brulee and it was a good portion and enjoyable.”
“Stopped in for dinner and beers with colleagues. Then sat in the bar area. We started with burrata and side dishes. Both were very delicious. I loved the pita bread and hummus on the appetizer plate. I will definitely get it again. Round two, we had fried chicken, croquettes and pizza. The chicken is super delicious. It was fried very well and the sweet sauce was great. I liked the pizza, although it was closer to flatbread because the crust was very flat and thin. Nice beer list. The cocktail list could be more impressive. Service is very friendly and attentive. Five stars!”

“When I called to ask about their hours, the owner hit me with, "My lamb is the best in Chicago." With that kind of confidence, I just had to check it out. This place is truly a hidden gem! So many pros: The meat is cooked and seasoned to perfection, even the tricky lamb is spot-on. Located in River North, super convenient for city workers. All staff are super friendly. And they don't even expect tips! Mandi Lamb A must-try! The owner's so-called top lamb in Chicago is tender, not gamey, and served with spices and long-grain rice for an incredible flavor. Generous portions too. We ordered half a portion, but saw others going for the full size. Fahsa Yemeni Lamb Stew A must-try! The broth is incredibly rich and spicy, with lamb cooked to ultimate tenderness in spices, served with traditional Yemeni flatbread for a rich and unforgettable flavor. Kebda Lamb Liver Would have thought it was a Chinese stir-fried liver if no one mentioned. Seasoned with a rich array of spices and onions, it's full of the meat's natural flavor and aromatic layers. A bit oily but goes well with rice. Cucumber Salad A refreshing cucumber salad, intensely cucumber-y but a bit too much dressing. Not greasy but just okay in texture. Dates Middle-Eastern style sweet dates, a complimentary treat from the owner, who also offered other sweets which we were too shy to accept. Summary: A heartfelt small diner with numerous advantages I won't repeat. Atmosphere: Not much of an ambiance, only four tables, quite cramped, dining while looking at the kitchen. Service: The owner and staff are genuinely friendly, tips not required, water is sold bottled.”

“I went to Olio e Più for my first time last night and I really enjoyed it! To start, I really liked the vibe - my boyfriend and I went around 630pm so given the sun was going down, it felt really relaxed and cozy. For my drink, I ordered the White Plains - super refreshing and tasty. My boyfriend got the Old Fashioned which he said was one of the best he's had in Chicago (and he always orders an Old Fashioned). To eat, I ordered the Gnocchi Pesto e Pistacchio and boy, was it good. I will say, our service was some of the best we've had in a long time as well. I placed an order on the app and screwed up by placing for pickup 2 1/2 hours later than I wanted it. Even though they were busy and their computer systems restrict their flexibility, they helped me and adjusted my order so I could get it soon after I arrived. Super happy with Cava!”
“We came without reservations and arrived a few minutes before 5pm on Saturday. There was already a long line - we ended up getting on the waitlist and got in after an hour. While in line, we met the owner - very cool dude and you can tell he's very passionate about ramen. The food and service were both excellent - well worth the hype! I ordered the miso and a friend ordered their special of the month, the Toyama Black. I preferred the miso - I like the chewier/firmer traditional ramen noodle (rather than the thin noodle) though the Toyama Black's broth was delicious and very light. The miso broth was a very good traditional miso broth - it was perfectly seasoned and not overly salty (but extremely filling).”

“04/02/24 - What an awesome add to the neighborhood. Teriyaki Madness is in the mall next to The Smash burger on Foster Ave. It's less than 1/2 mile from my house. I actually sampled their chicken teriyaki @ a Yelp event up in Lake Bluff @ Bernie's Book Bank. Teriyaki Madness has a store up in Gurnee, IL The teriyaki comes in 3 different sizes, Junior, regular or large. I ordered the regular sized chicken teriyaki bowl & it was more than enough for me as I had a little bit of left overs to take home. They have different options like regular or spicy chicken, chicken breast teriyaki, steak teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, tofu teriyaki & chicken katsu. Wry good seasoning w Great options. They also have appetizers like edamame, egg rolls, chicken potstickers & crab Rangoon. I was very pleasantly surprised w/the grilled chicken teriyaki served over brown rice w/veggies like cabbage & broccoli. I really enjoyed my meal & scarfed it down. I will definitely be back to try some of their other items like the steak teriyaki or chicken katsu.”

We had artichoke and sunchoke and meatball for shared appetizers, followed by each of us with a different pasta: caico buccatini, bolognese, gnocchi and spaghetti and one stuffed cabbage...all delicious!
