“Our son lives in Chicago and we asked his girlfriend to choose a nice place for us to fly in and take them out to dinner to celebrate his birthday… Obélix did NOT disappoint! My husband is French and used to work in the food industry so to say our standards are high is an understatement. You will come out of an experience here a few pennies poorer yet you will chalk this up to a rich gastronomical experience bar none. The service is impeccable (timing and engagement) and food, sublime. I was so looking forward to sharing angel food cake with my son as we did while he was growing up but we simply indulged all evening and had no room but for espressos. We enjoyed a bottle of Crémant to start and followed with a bottle of Beaujolais Fleury which was incredible once it opened…. The Dorade was outstanding and my family enjoyed the pâté en croute, soupe à l’onglon gratinée , les escargots bourguignon, macarons avec foie gras; and absolutely adored their aged steaks… the experience was outstanding and was well worth the flight to make a memorable evening with our beloved son. Try to save room for dessert as I hear it’s outstanding !!“

“Awesome vegetarian options at a French restaurant—feels super rare! Went for happy hour + dinner as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend (who’s newly vegetarian). Every dish was tasty and felt original.My favorite was the mushroom “escargot” (much more memorable than regular escargot) and my partner’s favorite was the carrot tartare. The chamomile bourbon soda was also tasty—their happy hour specials were a great value. Already wanna plan my next visit to try more!!“

“Celebrated a birthday here! The group was welcomed with a glass of champagne. The room has a pink Parisian vibe, very beautifully done. It happened to be happy hour as well, which goes to 7 pm. We tried the burger and it was good but a bit too salty for the four of us. Wouldn't order again but we had other dishes including the gnocchi and that was divine! Would like to return for the beef Wellington. After our meal we were invited behind the bar for a tasting of a speciality liquor. It was fun ending to the night and felt very personable. Great for celebrating, especially a girls night! Ps. Check out the bathroom, adorable!“

The ambiance is quietly elegant, the service first rate, and the entire experience worth a night out.“

“The outside patio was lovely and quiet! Both food and service were very good. One thing however: when telling about the specials for the evening, they need to mention the PRICE. We ordered the lamb chop special (hsving not asked the cost) and the price was $48, which is way above the price point of their other main courses!!!“

“Unfortunately, BCC closed just before Valentine's Day and so far, no news on where the key team members have moved on to. And no news on what may replace on this site, this is truly the tragic loss of a restaurant that was destined for great things.“

“The place is small, but it's a very nice experience, waitress was very nice she introduced the best plate according to what we explained to her. You can park on the street there meters outside you can eat and enjoy the time with 2 hours parking.“

“What a fantastic event! Okay first the space is BEAUTIFUL. Absolutely georgous restaurant to host us. The two tiered restaurant, beautiful bar, and delightful staff made the evening perfect. The food was also excellent. Although not everything was my favorite, there were dishes that were excellent. I want to make this clear, the chocolate caramel torte was incredible. It was so good and I ate way too much of them. All in all thank you Kate for putting on another fantastic event :)“
