Peruvian Restaurants in Chicago, IL

“The Rooftop at Nobu is a fun and energetic place to enjoy the views while sipping drinks! Unfortunately, the most recent experience was not up to usual standards. I arrived and one of the hosts took me to our table for two. I wanted to be in the sun so I asked if we could move. Very snarky, the host replied, no, nothing is available, even though I was looking at an open spot. I let it go, however, the attitude did sting for a bit. Within 10 minutes , not one, but two different couples were allowed to move to different tables. One couple moved to the spot I was looking straight at and the other to their spot. The ambiance was awesome so I ordered the margarita, but to my surprise it was mediocre. The tacos are super tiny for the price point. We ordered other drinks neat, which were great! As we were paying our bill, another couple just arriving also asked to switch their table, and guess what, their wish was granted! I'm sure my experience was just a fluke.“

“We disregarded the last post by Rosario and gave this local place a shot. We are glad we did not listen to Rosario, the food is exceptional. This place is BYOB so we brought tequila and ordered a pitcher of a maracuya and mixed it with the tequila we brought. The cocktail was really good. We found a new drink for the summer heat months. We have tried a couple of other Peruvian restaurants in the past, but this one is an outstanding value for the quality of food. You have to try this place.“

“We hadn't been to Tanta in a few years and were happy to find the food, Pisco Sours and service as good as ever. Like most restaurants, it seems like prices have gone up (like I think the house chips used to be free), but our dishes were excellent.“
