“My husband and I came here for lunch and enjoyed the excellent service and food. The focaccia bread and olive oil with garlic and hummus was to die for and we were getting full before our meal came. We ordered mussels, salad, pasta and seafood risotto. Of course we had to take half of entrees home since we enjoyed the focaccia bread! I have been here before with my friends and ate outside on a Monday night over the summer and also had an excellent meal. We will definitely come back.”

“I went today…I did not get the name of the person who attended us. I believe he is the owner, he is very nice and welcoming. The chefs are kind with good vibes too. Overall Good vibes. The chicken is not dry, and the friendly fire fries are very well served and delicious. I know a lot of food places get promoted in the city, but I am happy to know that there is a good chicken place here in Forest Park, IL. The food is well priced, and not expensive. “Solid Thai place. Not great, not bad. Generally very nice people inside. Was surprised that there were so few gluten free curries —only their green and red were GF. The Pad Thai was also very agree.The picked cucumbers, carrots, and onions as a cheap appetizer was probably the most delicious thing we ate.”

“This was a great place for authentic Mexican food. I rate restaurants not on how fancy they are but on several factors. It starts with chips and salsa, then basic items like tacos (steak/al pastor), then enchiladas. I had tacos (steak, pastor and chile relleno). All were great. Of course service and cleanliness is essential. I highly recommend this place.”

“We heard their fries were awesome and had to give it a try. We chose to go around 4pm on a Saturday and beat the dinner crowd, sat at the bar and had speedy service all around. They also have wood bar toppers to give you for food orders at the bar since the way the bar top is originally built isn't the best for eating. There is a decent tap list and their duck fries were as good as claimed. I can't speak for their busier times but when we went it was clean, we were greeted and our food came out quick. Overall, it's worth a try to decide for yourself.”

“The food is really good. The service is ok. There is an older woman waitress who is not friendly at all. Not very helpful to the customers. Other than that the food is gray and we had other servers they have been awesome. I think they would make their restrooms available for all genders.”

“Good food. I usually hit sushi spots, ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI. I was kind of iffy about trying a new spot for almost 30, but for the new experience I had to try. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Plenty of flavor. Crab Rangoon is good. Might actually be a new spot for me.”

“The outside looks unordinary but once inside youll see a quaint little pub with lots of charm. I'm always in search of the perfect Guinness and this spot almost had it. They almost poured Guinness the correct way but they tend to rush it and over filled and spilled. It was also fairly pricey for a pint of Guinness. Give it a shot if you're in the area.”

“Golden Steer never disappoints. The food is always delicious. It is just as good if not better than city steakhouses without the downtown prices. “When you hear the name Shanahan's, one would think that this is an Irish pub, but it's actually touted as a creole restaurant. I have been to this restaurant in Forest Park, Illinois many times, and have mixed feelings about it. Oftentimes, the food is delicious but there have been other times when I found certain dishes to be inconsistent; such as the Seafood gumbo (sometimes too salty but other times decent). On the other hand, the Shrimp & Grits, the Fried Calamari and the hurricane drinks are consistently delicious. Dress is casual and food prices are moderate and a good value for the amount of food served. The staff is friendly and attentive. The locals love this place (which sometimes causes a noisy atmosphere) so get there early to avoid the crowds, as well as to secure on-street parking.”

“Love this place the people that work are so nice and happy. It’s stocked really well to I enjoy going there for shopping it’s not the traditional grocery store but it’s has a nice selection of food. The snacks and frozen food from around the world make it easier to be adventurous with my meals.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are end less .Dietary restrictions: It’s a smaller grocery store you pick up what you need .Parking: Big open lot no problem with the parking”

“I only write a review when I have overwhelmingly good things to say and want to make sure credit is paid where it is due. We just hosted my sons 4th birthday at the Brown Cow and it was awesome. Cassidy and Caleb were incredible party captains. We joked that we will be hiring Cassidy to MC every party we host from now on. The kids had a great time. The parents all got to chat because the kids were entertained. The ice cream was great and we were able to accommodate everyone's allergies and food preferences. And I barely had to plan a thing. Win-win-win-win. We may even host our other sons bday party there again this summer. Just a great experience overall. We will be back!”

“Went looking for a Clam Chowder last week and found it at Starship. My husband and I enjoyed it- it was so delicious. It was slightly creamy and had a wonderful amount of clams and potatoes in it. The best part was the bit of “heat” in the chowder. For me the heat manifested itself at the back of the throat, a lovely warm sensation. ( maybe pepper?) The chowder was seasoned perfectly, the texture was great and they are always generous with the bread and crackers. Best clam chowder I have had outside of Boston. I almost felt guilty enjoying my meal so much on a Friday in lent, did not feel like I was giving up anything?it was That good!”

“This cantina is not your typical Mexican eatery, at least based on my experience SO FAR. The flavors of my taco salad were mild and creamy, delicious layers of refritos, rice, tender chicken, salad, and topped with a fresh guacamole and sour cream in a freshly fried tortilla bowl. I will be back to taste the steak tacos, burritos, and enchiladas on the menu! To drink, I had a generous mug of a wonderful non-alcoholic "cucumber limeade".I have seen this place hopping almost every time I drive by, but I was there early Sunday afternoon and it was a chill atmosphere (with a steady stream of take-out customers. )You order and pay at the counter as you enter before you sit down, but the experience was like a restaurant after that, with chips and sauces, an attentive waitress, etc. I rather liked being able to just go when I finished without waiting for a bill and payment.Try this place if you want to try something a little different in Mexican cuisine!”
