From the moment we stepped through the doors of The Longroom, we were enveloped in a warm and welcoming atmosphere instantly created by the doorman, with his infectious enthusiasm and genuine smile, he immediately made us feel at ease and eager to explore this inviting establishment. We were greeted by Matt and Matty, the dynamic duo behind the bar. Their expert knowledge of the extensive beverage selection was truly impressive. Even though they were very busy, they still took the time to guide us through their recommendations and options from their menu. The drinks were nothing short of exceptional. Each sip was a symphony of flavors, crafted with finesse and passion. Then we ordered from Bad Johnny's pizza. The pizza, oh the pizza! It was a culinary masterpiece, with a perfectly cooked crust, a delectable sauce, and an abundance of toppings that melted in our mouths. But what truly set The Longroom apart was the sense of community that permeated the air. We felt like we were instantly welcomed into this cozy haven, treated like part of the family. The friendly banter between the staff and patrons, the shared laughter and conversations, it all contributed to an atmosphere of genuine camaraderie. As we reluctantly bid farewell to our newfound friends at The Longroom, we carried with us a sense of warmth and contentment. The exceptional drinks, the delectable pizza, and the impeccable service were just the icing on the cake of what had been a truly remarkable experience. We left feeling like we had stumbled upon a hidden gem, a place where we could truly unwind and connect with others. Literally walked out of Longroom 30 minutes ago and felt it necessary to post my experience. Absolutely one of the best places I've been to in Chicago! From the second we walked into the door we were treated like VIP guests. They have a drink menu comparable to all the expensive downtown establishments but all at very reasonable prices. Didn't make it in time for the food, but will definitely back soon to try it! SIX STARS ☆☆☆☆☆☆ (1 extra for the amazing bartender suggestion on an unbelievable drink)

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Longroom during a weekend stay for an event at Wrigley Field and I was blown away by the experience. The bar is located at the edge of downtown close to most everything on the Northside including Wrigley Field, and fell in love with the place and its warm and inviting atmosphere. It has no tvs, no loud music and by far the cleanest restrooms! The staff is friendly and attentive, and the drinks are perfectly priced and top-notch quality. Working in the hospitality industry for over 30 years, I was particularly impressed by the doorman/host, Jeremy. He went above and beyond to make sure that our experience was perfect. He greeted us warmly when we arrived, and he made sure that we were seated in a comfortable spot. He immediately gave us the location of the restrooms, water station, kitchen and outdoor patio and gave food recommendations for pizza that night and brunch the following morning for the Niceguy food, which we returned for and were absolutely amazed by the brunch and coffee service offered. At one point, we tried to tip Jeremy, but he refused. He said that we should give the tip to the bar back and bartender, because they deserve it more than he does and to "write a review online and tell friends about longroom". Its rare to see dedication like that and goes to show how much he cares about making sure that his customers have a great time. If you're looking for a great place to have an amazing hand-crafted drink, great food and the most comfortable relaxing and enjoyable experience in Chicago, I highly recommend Longroom. And if you do go, be sure to ask for Jeremy. He's the best in the business.
