The owner was friendly and the Butterbeer coffee was terrific. The basket items were delicious.

Great coffee & service!! I look forward to going here any time I'm in the area. Nice selection of drinks & snacks. Ambiance is pretty cool, too.

The best coffee I’ve had in a long time beats a Starbucks any day and books to read as you sit and enjoy your coffee or meal definitely a plus will be returning the only thing that sucks is the parking but I would walk for this

The best place in Nashville to get coffee. Iris is the sweetest, and their muffins rival any other I’ve had!

Great experience. What a wonderful shop and owner. Iris, the owner, is engaging. Not only did we go multiple times while in town to get our coffee fix, we also ended up with a number of books from the shop. A great experience. Very much recommend. Thank you.

Incredible place to visit in Nashville. Such wonderful, kind-hearted people. It’s a great place to sit and stay for a while, or just to swing by, get a nice “hello, how are you?” from the people there, and carry on your day. They always make my day much better every time I visit!

I would give less than 1 star if I could. This place is straight up creepy. Unbearably cluttered, crowded with flea market trash, and dusty like Granny Weatherall's wedding dress, the immediate vibe upon entering is mental illness. After you've received your deeply mediocre coffee drink, try asking to use the restroom. Granny Weatherall will lure you back to the trash-lined building's catacombs, only to stop you from entering the door and demanding to see your hands. She wants to squirt some "sanitizer" on them **before** entering (...!) as if you're kindergartner. After refusing such, I could only wonder id she was continuing such personal and invasive care in the bathroom Do yourself a favor and save the creeps for Halloween haunted houses.

Got 2 smoothies from Common Grounds on a warm day while walking through Nashville! These were SO good. They were so creamy and sweet. They were made with frozen yogurt which was delicious! The space almost seemed like an antique shop so it was different than normal. Their menu was pretty big for being a coffee shop so I definitely think anyone could find something here that they would enjoy!

Wow. What a kind and genuine woman. I have grown up going to Common Grounds and I always will no matter how far I am. Wonderful service!!

There's a lot going on here. Common Grounds is tucked off the main road down a little alley, but the signage is there to make it easy to find. When you enter, it's not exactly straightforward. The place looks like hippies became mild hoarders and I don't think I'm far off. There are books and games and eclectic seating throughout. It is larger than it first appears and it is full of books and... Stuff. I don't know if any of it's for sale or if it is just there to be perused. The bar is straight ahead and the menu is broad enough to please but not overwhelming. There are some pastries and scones ready to go. The coffee is very good! Service is extremely friendly and an excellent representation of what to expect in Nashville. Top notch!

The best place in Nashville is the common grounds for any kind of coffee or tea drinks that you could possibly want or try. The owner is one of the best people in the world to get the chance to meet and talk with. The shop is filled with all kinds of things in every corner. Always a great time and company when we are in Nashville.

Love this little side store tea shop. I only mean it's not on the main drag and but a jewel of its own. The staff is friendly, tea is good, books, comfy seating.. kind of reminds me of a favorite aunt's spare room of eclectic trinkets etc. HOWEVER, on Saturday about noon, there is an amazing young lady who plays piano and sings. She is not to be missed!!!! She is so talented, idc if the tea shop offered you mud to drink you'd be pleasantly content to cozy on one of the couches to listen. Seriously, her voice is like silk. The first time I encountered her talent, her voice literally stopped me in my tracks. I had to stop, sit and listen. I have ADHD, I don't stop for anything!! But yes the tea, drinks etc are worth it too. Cute little shop with an extra plus on Saturday.I'll post pics later...I'm always too focused on the music
