I recently went here for a weekend lunch with a friend and enjoyed the experience. We were seated immediately, our food came out in a timely manner, the prices were reasonable, the portion sizes were hearty, and my food was good. I got the lamb vindaloo lunch combo extra spicy and was not disappointed. There was a lot of lamb, good spice and flavor, plenty of rice, and delicious, butter naan. I did try my friend's dal, and that had spice but needed more flavor. The naan was so good we actually got another order for our meal. Himalayan House is a 20 minute walk or a short drive away from Fort McHenry, and I would recommend for lunch or dinner if you are in the area!

Everything we tried was fantastic! Great service too! Chicken momo's, Chix Tikka Masala, Biagan Bharta. Delicious. A must try in Locust Point!

Our party of three wanted to try dine in Nepalese food. We picked Himalayan due to good reviews. Unfortunately, the night was cold and rainy. Also, there was no private parking lot, street parking only. So we decided to do take-out instead. We ordered online and the foods were ready when I walked in. We ordered chicken Tandoori sekuwa from the Nepalese menu. From the Indian menu. We went with lamb saag, buttered naan, and veggie pakoras. Two free containers of rice came with our entres. Both proteins were tasty, moist, and tender. The seasoning of the saag was so good. It made the saag so addictive. Both entres were full of meats. The flavorful veggie pakoras were crunchy but not oily. The naan was just ok. We really enjoyed our dinner from Himalayan.

I've been ordering from here periodically for about 2 years. The food is pretty good. Certainly not the best Indian/Nepalese I've had, but it hits the spot.My bigger gripe? Delivery. Twice now it has taken at or over 2 hours to deliver the meal - despite the estimate on the order stating about 45 minutes to an hour. Maybe they are just that busy... If so, awesome. However, if I'm expected to wait 2 hours for the food to arrive, it being barely warm isn't really a good thing.I get it, things happen. But now being the 3rd consecutive time over the course of a few months it seems more a trend than an anomaly.Bottom line.. if you're after decent Indian/Nepalese food, this is a good option - but I wouldn't suggest delivery. Their renovated dining room is probably the best choice.

Dropped by just to grab some tea time snacks - we got their veggie samosa and chicken momos. Boy - they did not disappoint! We took them home and had them with home made chai which was the perfect combination. The samosas were fat and juicy, but crispy on the outside. Not greasy at all. The momos were done really well. Both dishes have a mild kick to them which I love. I would definitely get these dishes again. Staff were really polite. The space is open, clean, and set up well.

I am obsessed with this place. I’m just going to list some of my faves, but know the entire menu is insanely delicious.Lamb keema mattar - my go to order.Lamb Rogan Josh - my other go to order.Chicken soup - if you are sick this will heal you.Chicken curry - not as heavy as the butter/tikka options but just as flavorful.Chan masala - the best chickpeas I’ve had.Chan saag - my other veg go to.Note that the saags are the spiciest thing they serve (imo). I order everything medium except saag, I have to go mild with those. No idea who’s ordering anything spicier than medium here, but you’re wild.

The Himalayan House is one of the best restaurants in Baltimore! I am not an "adventurous eater" but when I tried the food it was just amazing! Something I could never cook at home. The flavors are awesome. The Chicken Tiki is delicious and the veggie Momo maybe my favorite taste ever! The family that owns the business is wonderful, friendly and very hardworking. I love to support their business.
