“Added Cafe Campli to the list of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore after last nights dinner.

We had no reservations for dinner so we sat at the bar. I ordered a sangria and it was a perfect summer drink.

Appetizer - For starters we had the burrata special, which came with crostini and a tomato sauce. The burrata was so fresh and paired wonderfully with the tomato sauce. The crostini was toasted and drizzled in olive oil that you could really taste. Loved it.

Entree - For mains we just ordered pasta. I had the Alla Lanterna, a lemon butter spaghetti alla chitarra with roasted garlic,
cauliflower & garbanzo puree, anchovy breadcrumbs. Lemon pasta = summer in my opinion, and it was perfectly refreshing. The lemon flavor was just right- not too subtle and not too overbearing. There was a little too much crunchy bits for me tho, I wish I had less to really appreciate the pasta.

My friend had the Sunday Gravy, which was a rigatoni with oxtail and sausage ragu. I tried a bit- The pasta and sauce was very fresh. I didn’t try the meat.

Dessert - For dessert we had a slice of cake. I believe it rotates what flavor- we had a pistachio ricotta cake and it was perfection. The layers were beautiful! The pistachio flavor was subtle and the cake melted in your mouth. So good.

Service - Service was great at the bar- not sure about table service but the place is really cozy and seemed like plenty of staff to cover!

Seating - the restaurant is smaller with a cozy vibe, few seats for bar seating so make a reservation.

Parking - We parked on the street. No payment required when we there around 6pm on Saturday.”

“What a treasure we found in Baltimore right across from our hotel, Hampton Suites!! Their stone fired pizza is delicious!!! The crust is so good! There are so many options to create your own specialty. I chose caramelized onions and it was a perfect topping to the amazing sauce and plentiful cheese. The entire staff is so friendly and the service was superb! Don't forget to check out the decadent desserts! And we also sampled a cocktail from the bar. I know they deliver, but since we are going home to Massachusetts tomorrow, I think we might be out of their delivery zone! Great place!!”

“The food was great! The owner explained how he brought food recipes from Afghanistan. Two of us shared the Kabuli Gosht Palau with Kabul eggplant. We also had the pumpkin called Kabul Kaddo that comes with bread. The flavors and freshness of the food are what stand out to me. We also enjoyed the Shugufa (means flower bud in Arabic) tea. It’s a whole pot of tea with a flower in it. It had a subtle flavor and aromatic smell. We ended with an order of Baklava. Everything tastes like it’s from someone’s home and unlike anything I’ve had in a restaurant. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. The restaurant, though, is small. Make a reservation so you are sure to be seated. The restaurant seems to do a lot of takeout. The business also displays beautiful rugs for sale that adds to the feel of Afghanistan. For me, the experience of eating the food and drinking the tea in this sweet place was calm and comforting.”

“Just discovered a gem nearby. I ate at Kandahar on 36th Street. It is owned by the previous general manager of The Helmand. What a delight. Most reasonable prices and the food was excellent. The last few times I went to the downtown location it wasn't as good, I now know why. If you haven't been there, I promise, you won't be disappointed. 5 stars”

“This place is incredible! The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu while ambiance is cozy and inviting.

Fun fact: The large plates change every 6-8 weeks while the chicken remains on the menu year-round. That means that if you see a large dish which appeals to you, grab it because you may not see it again.

I had the half chicken which was not overwhelmingly seasoned but had a refreshing hint of rosemary. The smoked mushroom bowl was a highlight. The black garlic dressing and balsamic glaze were perfection.

I will undoubtedly return!

“I have ate at many seafood restaurants but Angie's Seafood is now at the top of my list, food and service was excellent and for the amount of food the price was great and on top of all of that they offered free shuttle service back to my hotel. Rosa was the best. She knows how to treat customers. I love her spirit and her kindness”

“Absolutely delicious meal. We ordered from the standard menu, not the restaurant week menu. The one disappointment is they were out of the branzino. No big deal because what my companion ordered instead--the steak tartare--was the best steak tartare either of us have ever had. The Octopus al Olivo is a dish I will dream about and go back to get again. The tequenos didn't do anything for either of us.

Parking: Street parking only. The ease of finding parking will depend on when you go.

Wheelchair accessibility: No steps getting into the restaurant. Lots of space between the tables.”

“Best spot in the neighborhood!! Consistently amazing food. We got the spicy salmon toast, yellowtail tuna crudo, and burrata + tomato salad - all incredible. Highly recommend anything with bread, we couldn’t get enough. Also love the playlist!”

“Our first time in BMore brought us to the Urban Oyster for a pre-concert dinner. Everything was excellent in an inviting and laid back space. They are very accommodating as well. We originally had reservations the night before and had to reschedule due to flight delays.

My friend and I had the selected raw oysters for the day and tried all that were available (3 varieties). We ended up getting 12 in total; each of them were so delicate and easy to eat. She had the taco flight which seemed like a popular choice with how many orders I saw coming from the kitchen. I had the beef entree which was flavorful and salty. However, the dish was still enjoyable for me. We ended up being too stuffed for dessert but the available options had delicious descriptions. All of the cocktails were great; even the off-menu option that was ordered. Definitely will return if I’m ever in the area again!”

“My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Costiera and were thoroughly impressed. Expected nothing less as we also enjoyed prior establishment Gnocco in Brewers Hill. The ambiance is fantastic and service was impeccable. Highly recommend the cocktails my favorite is the sfumato Negroni which is a perfect balance of smokiness. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Recommend getting the focaccia with whipped ricotta to start. My favorite small dish was the octopus which was perfectly cooked also enjoyed the tuna crudo. Also need to get the homemade pasta dishes Cavatelli was fantastic.
Overall, Costiera exceeded all my expectations. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care goes into every aspect of the dining experience here. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for an extraordinary meal, I highly recommend. It’s a culinary gem that I can’t wait to visit again.”

The experience began with me running behind for my reservation because I-95 traffic is a..well we all know..so in calling the restaurant to alert them my first taste of Marta was Nick, who answered the phone in such a warm and friendly manner I felt welcomed even before my arrival! Now I will say parking is a challenge..but rise up to this challenge..be persistent..because once you’re safely parked you will reap amazing culinary rewards. The space itself..it beautifully done..muted colors and comfortable seating seem to say “ sit..get comfortable and get ready for a great time” Our server Michael was a JOY. Just as important as the food, is the service, Michael made sure that we were comfortable, answering all questions and providing excellent recommendations when they were asked for. No one could have asked for a better tour guide to lead our Marta experience..when making reservations..request him..I promise you won’t be disappointed. Appetizers! Tuna Cannoli..if you think you know tuna..I’m here to say NAW! This dish was whimsical and full of flavor. The tuna was fresh and prefect encased in a light cannoli shell..the sesame seeds tied the whole dish together for me perfectly. Beef tartare(my personal favorite) vibrant color and palate pleasing flavors! I like the addition of beets in place of the traditional capers. Even my one friend who hates beets agrees that it brought a great element to this dish. Oysters! Perfectly briny and chilled expertly the pink peppercorn granita was Everything! Entrees: I enjoyed the Agnolotti which was a fall themed plate of warm comfort food! The spiced squash and apple stuffed pasta was so flavorful..but just when you thought it couldn’t get better, BOOM! Brown butter sage sauce! Please do yourself a favor..make your reservation to enjoy this dish before it goes away..you won’t regret it. The risotto my friend enjoyed with the meatballs from the antipasti menu was creamy and honestly had me making my next reservation in my head so I could enjoy it all by myself! Saffron Brodo, Aged Parmesan, bring this dish home! He couldn’t stop raving about the meatballs and I know they must have been great because he didn’t share..lol My dear friend ordered the Panzotti featuring stuffed Duck and Foie Gras! All components of this dish worked together to create perfection! Wine list..well thought out and composed. When our initial choice was temporarily unavailable, cue Nick with a perfect recommendation for an alternative bottle! Desserts..we ordered them all..don’t judge..lol..we couldn’t decided..lol..and you only live once! In addition to ordering them all..you bet the 3 of us finished them all too! So no further details required..I just suggest you make sure to save room for at least one of these sweet temptations..really any one..you won’t regret it! So this concludes my most epic review..of a most epic experience! Thank you Marta..it was truly wonderful!”

“I worked here for 10 years in the industrial Engineering department (Maintenance). Compared to other companies in the industry the salary is kind of low, but for anyone looking to start a career in this field it’s probably the best option there is. They will accept anyone who is willing to work and learn and they will train you. Most people spend a few years learning the trade and then move on to make more money. Myself included. I don’t understand why ownership would allow their best guys to leave that way rather than structuring something to compensate them for all their experience and skill, but that’s just how it is there. This is not to say you can’t make a decent living there because you can, but just not what could be made elsewhere. The high pace makes for a great learning environment. It’s extremely hot there, but most places are. That place will always be like a second home to me. I loved working there. If they could match my salary I would go back. That will never happen though for reason I’ve explained here already. They have extremely good benefits compared to anywhere else. Cheapest and great coverage. 401k is kind of low. Overall, best place for low experience people and a great place to work, but not somewhere to expect $100k a year or more. I always send people to them for jobs still and I’ve been gone for a couple years now. It’s just a great place to work.”

“I'm a truck driver. I usually stop here either on my way to or on my way from the landfill. And whether I want a snack or a full meal, they always have what I want. And the food is always delicious. The food is prepared fresh as well. And whatever you get it doesn't take them that long to make it. The employees are always kind, and there's never a long wait. Oh prices aren't bad either. This is one of my favorite go to spots and I highly recommend it.”

“This subway is a great regular lunch spot employees are quick, kind and responsive. I feel bad whenever they receive a mobile order because the new order alert sound is a loud and repetitive alarm. If they are working on a sub they cant just stop, deglove, press the confirmation button to silence it, reglove and finish the sub. Subway should consider changing that sound or workers with ptsd might start quitting from the potential trigger.”

“Located inside of Sinai Hospital and very convenient. I visit this location on a regular basis because they are open 24 hours. Good food and as always fresh. The tomatoes could be more ripe instead of green. My sandwich was put together messy which is reflective of the service in my opinion.

“This place is great. One time I had to go to work. It was a new job and going to open a lot of opportunities for me and my family. Anywho, being a single father I had no idea what to do with my three kids ages 2, 4, and 5, but this place opens pretty early. So I just bought them a few happy meals and left them here for the day. No one noticed at all. I even had time to hit the bar after work before coming back to scoop the little buggers. All in all this location gets a 4/5 because one of my kids was missing when I came back. Miss you little Jimmy.”

“Absolutely loved the place! All the dishes were so good. We were a group of 3 and went for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. I tried booking a table online at 11 am and got a reservation of 1.15 pm. On calling them up, the kind lady accommodated us at 12.30 pm. So I would recommend you to call them up for reservation. The food was very good and the ambience was great. All dishes we ordered were 5/5.”

I really appreciate that they are generous with the onions!! I love onions so much and most places just sprinkle a few onions on top but this place doesn't skimp. I love onions!!!!!

So I discovered Cafe Dear Leon some 6 months ago and have become a regular and I would rate Dear Leon as one of the best coffee shop's I've experienced.

Their coffee is always spot on and I would say the same for their food offerings, they have a small and consistent menu that is crafted to near perfection.

“It’s a pretty good Starbucks. It’s usually very busy during the week because it’s so small and on Loyola’s campus, so the wait for a drink can be up to an hour in the morning. “My husband and I went for our 8th anniversary. The is reservation only on Sundays and he and I were the only ppl there. It was wonderful. The service the superb, the food was delicious. The oxtail eggrolls were my favorite. My husband enjoyed his snapper but found the sauce to be a bit salty. I had the salmon which was good perfectly medium. my only complaint was the mac and cheese. It was a bit gritty.”
