First of all, I want to thank the entire team, but I especially want to recognize our amazing server, Diane. She truly knew what she was doing and was one of the best servers I have ever encountered. She was professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and made our experience exceptional. A huge thank you to her!

As for the food, everything was outstanding and absolutely worth the money. The portions were very generous maybe even a little too big! We wished we had room to try dessert, but unfortunately we were too full.

The quality of the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxing and perfect for dinner. If we’re ever back in the area, we will definitely return. Thank you again to Diane and the entire team for such a wonderful experience!“

“My partner and I celebrated her birthday at Ruxton, and it was an incredible dining experience from beginning to end.

The atmosphere immediately stood out. Ruxton is elegant without feeling pretentious, and it’s the kind of restaurant that actually complements dressing up for the occasion. Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply want an upscale night out, the ambiance makes the experience feel worthwhile.

For dinner, I ordered the whole lobster, and I honestly underestimated what I was getting. The presentation alone was impressive—it was served on a board nearly the size of a large wooden cutting board. At around $200, it’s definitely a splurge, but after tasting it, I completely understood why. The lobster was cooked perfectly, incredibly fresh, and so good that I somehow managed to finish the entire thing.

We also ordered the Lemon Butter Prawns, and they deserve just as much recognition. The lemon butter sauce was rich, bright, and unlike anything I’ve had before. Easily some of the best prawns I’ve ever eaten. We shared a side of broccoli, which was good, but with everything else on the table, it simply wasn’t the star of the meal.

My partner ordered the Fried Lobster with mashed potatoes, and they absolutely nailed it. The lobster was fried perfectly—crispy on the outside while remaining juicy and tender inside without tasting greasy. That’s not an easy balance to achieve, but Ruxton pulled it off.

The cocktails were just as memorable. I ordered the Shake & Bake, which I’d describe as a tequila take on an Old Fashioned, and it ended up being one of my favorite drinks from our entire Baltimore food tour. My partner’s dirty martini was also well made.

The service was exceptional throughout the evening. Our team was attentive, professional, and consistently checked in without ever being intrusive. They helped make an already special evening feel even more memorable.

Ruxton absolutely lived up to the hype. While it’s perfect for celebrating special occasions, the quality of the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere has me looking forward to coming back just to explore more of the menu. This is easily one of Baltimore’s premier dining experiences.“

“I was there 4/25/22. We went up to the host and told them 3. They were looking at the board seeing where they could sit up. They were busy. There were people who walked in behind us and went around and were extremely rude to the staff. Thank goodness for the host manager for stepping in and making sure we were helped. We sat in Gabe's section. He was a great server. Made sure we had refills, made we were good and the food was right. There was something that came out wrong but he saw it was corrected. He was great with my daughter and friend. If you go request Gabe!!“

“I always have problems when I order a rare steak. People assume I have no idea what I'm asking for... But a steakhouse should not be getting that wrong. They brought me an overcooked steak, then they brought me a cold one. Smh. They took the charge off but I was so unhappy with my meal. Service was phenomenal.“

For context, my church group is energetic and tends to be quite lively, which can create challenges in a dining setting. Jada not only took our orders with precision but also ensured everything was in order, with honorable mentions to her colleagues Ryan and Lyric. She remembered every detail, from what each person was drinking to the number of waters I required, and even how the entrees paired with the beverages.

At the conclusion of our meal, she organized the checks seamlessly, making it the first time I had dined with a large party and felt such an effortless flow. I informed her manager of her exceptional service because I believe her talents deserve recognition. “We had an amazing dining experience recently when 3 of us decided to eat at a restaurant outside of the hotel where we were staying. I am so glad we chose Longhorn. Otherwise, we would have missed out on experiencing the service that Shaun provided. Even though he serviced several other tables, he still extended the same amount of attention and care to each of us. His level of customer services was more than just “excellent.” It was “superb.” He made us feel like we were valued and he didn’t miss an opportunity to check to see if we had everything we needed and we were enjoying our meal.
