“We found this place because we needed to get away from the god awful hotel we had booked a mile away.

It was super fun! We didn't order any food, but the drinks were good and service was fast. The ladies behind the bar were kind and attentive. Total local dive. Karaoke in the back, what I assume was billiards downstairs (?), and lotto playing in the front room.

We're from NY and this was exactly what we pictured an dive bar to be like in this neck of the woods.

Also there's a cool miniature boat replica that I enjoyed studying. Pop in if you get the chance.”

“Service was super fast! Ordered and my food was done in 10-15 minutes and I ordered 4 sushi rolls and fried rice. Sushi was delicious but fried rice needed to be recooked when I got it home. Added more spices Onion and garlic and it was good. No atmosphere to be seen as there are only chairs up against the walls to sit in while you wait for your food. All in all nice little carry out spot.”

We had a 145 pick up ready at the time, we ate them at 330 they were AWESOME, FULL OF MEAT LARGE CRABS .Best I had in a long time worth the money which was reasonable for what they were asking which was less then everyone else. I will continue to order from Crab Depot they so not disappoint. I am not a friend of anyone that works there just want the small businesses that are doing right to get credit. thanks for making father's day a great day.”

“You know you can't go anywhere ask for fresh food. I told the cashier I wanted my fish cooked fresh. She told the cook he little hateful person said it just came up. Knowing he was lying but I took it. When I got to my seat I took the waffle fries back because they were not hot. The fish was warm but it had not just come up. Can't stand people who want to give customers what they would not eat”

“Last year there was major issues with the store they closed, they remodeled, and it appears they changed all of their policy and procedures as to what it should be. I travel all throughout the state of Maryland for my job and I frequent a lot of different subways and sub shops. I went in here on Saturday in the morning and I was blown away. They were freshly slicing meat in front of me restrooms were accessible, and the place was really clean. Customer service was on point. The store should be a role model for all of the other subways. Thank you for making corrective action.”

“This particular place is in brooklyn maryland. Ain't not so nice or clean neighborhood. But It's in this cute little plaza that has these doctors offices. And I figured why not? They made my food fresh for me. It was so hot. I couldn't even eat it. I had to let it cool off, Juicy delicious and the price was actually reasonable.”

The experience began with me running behind for my reservation because I-95 traffic is a..well we all know..so in calling the restaurant to alert them my first taste of Marta was Nick, who answered the phone in such a warm and friendly manner I felt welcomed even before my arrival! Now I will say parking is a challenge..but rise up to this challenge..be persistent..because once you’re safely parked you will reap amazing culinary rewards. The space itself..it beautifully done..muted colors and comfortable seating seem to say “ sit..get comfortable and get ready for a great time” Our server Michael was a JOY. Just as important as the food, is the service, Michael made sure that we were comfortable, answering all questions and providing excellent recommendations when they were asked for. No one could have asked for a better tour guide to lead our Marta experience..when making reservations..request him..I promise you won’t be disappointed. Appetizers! Tuna Cannoli..if you think you know tuna..I’m here to say NAW! This dish was whimsical and full of flavor. The tuna was fresh and prefect encased in a light cannoli shell..the sesame seeds tied the whole dish together for me perfectly. Beef tartare(my personal favorite) vibrant color and palate pleasing flavors! I like the addition of beets in place of the traditional capers. Even my one friend who hates beets agrees that it brought a great element to this dish. Oysters! Perfectly briny and chilled expertly the pink peppercorn granita was Everything! Entrees: I enjoyed the Agnolotti which was a fall themed plate of warm comfort food! The spiced squash and apple stuffed pasta was so flavorful..but just when you thought it couldn’t get better, BOOM! Brown butter sage sauce! Please do yourself a favor..make your reservation to enjoy this dish before it goes away..you won’t regret it. The risotto my friend enjoyed with the meatballs from the antipasti menu was creamy and honestly had me making my next reservation in my head so I could enjoy it all by myself! Saffron Brodo, Aged Parmesan, bring this dish home! He couldn’t stop raving about the meatballs and I know they must have been great because he didn’t share..lol My dear friend ordered the Panzotti featuring stuffed Duck and Foie Gras! All components of this dish worked together to create perfection! Wine list..well thought out and composed. When our initial choice was temporarily unavailable, cue Nick with a perfect recommendation for an alternative bottle! Desserts..we ordered them all..don’t judge..lol..we couldn’t decided..lol..and you only live once! In addition to ordering them all..you bet the 3 of us finished them all too! So no further details required..I just suggest you make sure to save room for at least one of these sweet temptations..really any one..you won’t regret it! So this concludes my most epic review..of a most epic experience! Thank you Marta..it was truly wonderful!”

“Just discovered a gem nearby. I ate at Kandahar on 36th Street. It is owned by the previous general manager of The Helmand. What a delight. Most reasonable prices and the food was excellent. The last few times I went to the downtown location it wasn't as good, I now know why. If you haven't been there, I promise, you won't be disappointed. 5 stars”

“Yo. This place (and equally so the Ash-Bar in the same hotel) is incredible.
I live in NY and am SHOCKED you can get some of the best cocktails there are - at these prices ($18 for a craft cocktail) and in an environment that is to die for.

I’ll keep going back because I really can’t believe how not-crowded it has been every time.

“The food was great! The owner explained how he brought food recipes from Afghanistan. Two of us shared the Kabuli Gosht Palau with Kabul eggplant. We also had the pumpkin called Kabul Kaddo that comes with bread. The flavors and freshness of the food are what stand out to me. We also enjoyed the Shugufa (means flower bud in Arabic) tea. It’s a whole pot of tea with a flower in it. It had a subtle flavor and aromatic smell. We ended with an order of Baklava. Everything tastes like it’s from someone’s home and unlike anything I’ve had in a restaurant. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. The restaurant, though, is small. Make a reservation so you are sure to be seated. The restaurant seems to do a lot of takeout. The business also displays beautiful rugs for sale that adds to the feel of Afghanistan. For me, the experience of eating the food and drinking the tea in this sweet place was calm and comforting.”

“Been a huge fan of Chef Jasmine Norton for several years. When our plans changed and we postponed our annual anniversary trip to Jamaica, there was no other restaurant that I wanted to have dinner in than The Urban Oyster. From the moment we walked in the door and were greeted by their warm and staff, it set the tone for the entire experience. We started off with raw oysters from Chincoteague and Canada that were flavorful and had the perfect balance of flavor and salt. I then indulged in the lobster bisque which had me wanting more but I knew I needed to save room for the main course. I selected the Seared Scallops and my husband had the Branzino. Both dishes were perfectly prepared and left us with no room for dessert. My only regret is that I didn’t take pictures for the review because we were too busy enjoying every moment! Urban Oyster, you exceeded this foodie’s expectations and we will be back soon! Thank you for making our 15th anniversary so special!”

“This is a hidden gem that I would love to have stay hidden, but can’t help but write a rave review for—Best food my husband and I have had in a long time! Brings the charm to Charm City! We have tried other Greek places in Baltimore, but nothing as authentic as Estiatorio. We had a fresh, healthy, and overall fantastic brunch. I never thought I would like beets, but they somehow made a beet salad taste phenomenal. Flavors are simple, but thoughtfully combined. Greek pancakes taste nostalgic, like something your grandmother would make for you with a warm cup of tea. Must have. Shout out to our effortlessly awesome and gracious server, April!!
