“Went for a New Year meal. They had it and it was delicious. Greens, blacked peas, turkey wings, corn bread; all Delish. I wanted to get chitterlings, but too expensive for me. A small cup of chitterlings cost as much as a full plate of everything else. Sad but what I got was great!!!“

“I am a new customer. I ordered fish and grits and a rib dinner with mac n cheese n collards greens. Both were reasonably priced. ??Both meals were delicious. The grits were buttery n the fish was seasoned to perfection n not too salty.The ribs were tender n had plenty of sauce I was so happy to see that the collards were fresh n not canned! The mac was nice n cheesy. This is now my go to soul food place!“

October 2024 Update : Food still very good but one of my past favorites (lentil burger) isn't as good as it use to be. The last half dozen times I've gotten them, they are over fried. If day slightly burnt. At the same time, the vegan crab cakes have improved! They're less salty but still delicious. Just right. The live kale is still clutch and so is the mac and cheese. Unfortunately, portion sizes for sides have gotten noticeably smaller. Did I mention how crazy the yams are???“

I did not have exact change and would have had to break 100 for 17 cents but the owner kindly told me not to worry about it and while I was waiting I saw him do the same thing for another guy in the same position and he has givin me exercise for free before which I was very thankful for.. they're overall very nice good people and the food is good..“

“Been a vegetarian since the mid seventies and we use to have to travel to Philly, New York and DC to find a high level of Vegan cuisine. Kai has brought an exceptionally superior Vegan cuisine to our area and even with the Baltimore metro area’s rise in Vegan restaurants Dodah’s Kitchen is clearly one of the best, and absolutely should be the restaurant on everyone’s “bucket” list. Meet Kai, talk with her and one will soon realize that Dodah’s is a literal extension, an aspect of her being. She is meticulous and one of the best definitions: (taking, showing, or involving great care and effort) Synonyms for meticulous: careful, conscientious, fussy, loving, painstaking, scrupulous, and to me, this reminds me of Mama in the kitchen !! and with that, we don’t even have to talk about the food.“

“When I stepped into Corkscrew on a Saturday night, I was struck by how much of a geniunely good time everyone was having. But when you consider that the DJ was doing his thing with banger after banger, it's little wonder.The food: I found it to be solid but some items were not as moist and flavorful as they could have been (the salmon), didn't have the kick they could have (the jerk egg rolls), and others saltier than they should have been (the collard greens), I really enjoyed their mac and cheese--it's perfect crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside--the way it's supposed to be. I would order that alone and be happy.The drinks: the bartenders were on point. We had a variety of drinks both on their menu and classics. They hit every time. They even make a great amaretto sour. The Corkscrew sour was a surprising and welcome twist on the sours we are familiar with. And I'm not embarrassed to say that I ordered an amaretto sour and enjoyed it. Like really enjoyed it. The bartenders are beyond belief.The music: we were initially disappointed that there wasn't live music this time but the DJ quickly made us forget all about it. He was playing hits from the 2000s, modern tracks, Afrobeats, Baltimore classics, and even some 70s all timers here and there. It was incredible.Vibe: the seats are so plush and comfortable that you don't want to leave. The interior design says sexy urban chic. You feel so damn elegant just being here.Service: the young man who served us was pleasant and noticeably polite. However, after we ordered from the menu, we were perplexed to see waiters walking by with plates of fried fish, steak, and salmon--all not listed on the menu.We didn't see him for some time but when we flagged him down, it turns out he that he forgot to tell us about the specials. Then he asked if we wanted him to tell us about the specials. It was as annoying as it was hilarious. I couldn't be mad at him at all.Overall: this place is awesome. We have to keep spots like this in Baltimore open at all costs. Please go support them and you'll have a great time doing it. 9/10“

“I’m lost for words with my food. The meat fell off the bone. The Mac and cheese is just 🤤🤤. I feel like I’m down south or like I’m in a southern movie eating Sunday dinner after church. Also somebody tell the cooks that this was a wonderful plate I can’t get enough but I’ll be sad when it’s gone.“

“Today was my first visit and the store was clean. The cashier greeted us and gave us time to figure out what we wanted. The decor was crabs, Raven flags, nets and shells. It was interesting and cute. The prices were great and the wait wasn’t super long.I think the total was $24 and some change for a club po boy with a side and a gyro and 6pc wings. The wings were seasoned great and the gyro was too. The gyro did start to fall apart after a while. But it did have a lot of meat which was great. The club po boy was great. I thought the bread could have been toasted or toasted longer. I did not like the slivers of meat versus slices of meat. I did have to pick out the diced tomatoes because I forgot club usually includes tomato as an ingredient. The crinkle cut fries were nice and crispy. I would come back again to try something else.
