“I can always count on good tasting food at Crazy Down Home. I have only been to the Randallstown location. I have had the fried chicken, fried fish, fried liver with gravy, steamed crabs, chitterlings, home fries with onions, fried green beans, collard greens, mixed vegetables, vegetable lo mein, and fried cabbage. My son loves the cheese steak subs.“

“Went for the first time with a coworker for lunch and he suggested the jambalaya, we got there just as they opened so no one else was there besides us. He got the chicken jambalaya and I got the seafood and let me tell you it was AMAZING!! It was way too much for lunch I felt like I needed a nap after eating all that but man it was fantastic. The shrimp mussels and catfish were cooked and seasoned perfectly and the rice delicious I couldn't wait to take the next bite. Will definitely be going back and taking others with me to experience this place. The price is exactly what you should expect for this quality and type of food, it was delicious and the service was fantastic so yeah you pay for that this isn't your local Dennys thank God. I love finding places like this then sharing with others so glad my coworker shared it with me.“

“I, along with four other friends went to this restaurant on Saturday 8/23/25 and both the food and service were excellent. Everyone we came in contact with was very polite, friendly and professional. I personally loved their corn bread muffins and asked if I could buy some to take back home. The young lady was very generous and I truly appreciated all that she did. The next time I'm in Baltimore, I definitely will be going there. The other ladies with me all felt the same way.“

“I just called the store and gave my thoughts about the individuals that prepared my order. I had the vegetable omelette, side of toast, and grits. There’s no pics because I had to make a decision to either put down the fork or pick up my phone. Anywho, if o didn’t know better, I’d swear I cooked the everything myself. Just the way I love! Omelette: full of vegetables flavor, grits, stirred to perfection, not lumpy, and my toast, wow !!! Not soggy and soaked in butter!!!! You have started my day with joy!!!! I’m appreciative!!! “Bertha's Soul Food Bar & Grill hit my aunts South Carolina Soul and my South Bronx Soul at the same time as we traveled through Baltimore for a business meeting. Auntie saw the collard greens and they was cut wide and her Bronx side eye made her look suspicious. Her taste test brought out her smile. And the bust down went down. Her side of crispy fried chicken complemented her plate of Turkey Wings, collard greens, sweet potatoes and yellow rice. As I am doing this review 2 weeks later I am feeling like jumping on the 95 South on the 3.5 hour drive to get our same dishes. I had 2 pieces of Fried Catfish, mac & cheese, broccoli.
I didn't leave anything on my plates and it was the perfect meal that filled me for the drive back to NYC. Our entire meal was seasoned just right we requested to speak to the chef and seasoner to give our praise.
Bertha's Soul Food restaurant accommodated us and so we certainly did.

“America's Best food is usually average at best but I gotta say, this is some of the best soul food I've ever had! (at least in a while) Mac & Cheese and yams were sticky with a crust, just the way I love them 😋 and the breading on the catfish and whiting is SO flavorful just like my family's cookouts! “I enjoyed a solo brunch on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the catfish and grits with a lemon drop mimosa. The drink was refreshing with the right amount of alcohol. The catfish was fried hard and very well seasoned. The star of the meal was the grits. IDK for sure what they put in them but they are delicious! Service was fast and polite.
