“Walked in to order 5 meals -wings, smothered pork chops, ribs, rotisserie chicken and pigs feet. My order was prepared and packed very well (not leaking). Bianca went above and beyond to make sure everything was prepared as desired and my wait time was only approximately 15 minutes. I really enjoy their food and had no idea that every separate meal with a variety of selections would be so delicious! I will definitely be ordering again soon.“
“This is by far the best chicken and fish place in Baltimore. The fastest selling item is the macaroni and cheese. People are coming in and ordering just macaroni and cheese sometimes and they're ordering extra on the side with their meal. And the cabbage is to die for oh my god I don't know what he puts in the cabbage but it's great. If you're looking for a place to get some good soul food this is it!“

“We had a truly wonderful experience with Chey Roes wonderful food. We were celebrating a special event at the last minute and Chef Roe was able to accommodate 35 colleagues and myself. The steaks were PHENOMENAL and cooked to perfection. The scallops were pan seared to Gordon Ramsey standards and the brussel sprouts were bursting with flavor! If you are looking for a one of a kind chef who uses quality ingredients AND who will cater to your needs at the last minute THIS IS YOUR GUY! “They really know what they doing here. I was in Baltimore for the weekend and decided to check them out. I was not disappointed. I will definitely go back when I'm in the area again. Everything we had was top tier. We had pineapple chili salmon tenders, maple jerk wings, Mac and cheese, greens, rice, and yams. The platters were hefty and worth the price“
“The food did not disappoint. I've heard so much about this place that I could not decide what to order. It came out pretty quickly. I had collard greens, sweet potatoes and akara (fried black eyed peas). My friend said the sweet potatoes tasted "healthy" but isn't that why we eat here? I mean...I would go back again. There's modest decor and the space could use a little brightening but I enjoyed my food so much! I'll be back and I'll recommend to everyone -- not only vegans.“
“Found them after searching Google, read the reviews and decided to try for myself. My family and I were visiting B'more from Ohio. I got the smothered turkey wings, cabbage and sweet potatoes (oh can't forget about the pound cake) ?. My entire dish was delicious, more importantly the customer service was AWESOME!! “This was our first time at Ethel's. It's quite small, so the noise level is a bit high. But, that didn't matter. The service was excellent and the food was exceptional. Pricing is about what you might expect, not cheap but not over the top. I would definitely recommend Ethel's. And, we'll certainly be going back again.“

“I’m a southern girl— moved to Baltimore last year for school. Nothing has made me feel more at home than the food here. Absolutely delicious!! My dad and I both got the catfish bites (mine hot honey glazed, his honey Old Bay) with greens and mac and cheese. Catfish was crispy and well-seasoned. Greens were soft and full of flavor. Mac and cheese was baked with plenty of broiled cheese bits. Fruit Punch tasted homemade and absolutely scrumptious. If you are craving real-tasting homegrown SOULFUL soul food, do not miss this place!! Alysia was our server and an absolute delight— super sweet, chatted with us when she wasn’t busy with other diners. Just park all around!!“
“To start, the food was delicious. I order catfish, make and Green Day’s ago while visiting Baltimore and just remembered to leave this place a review because not only was the food great but the customer service was as well. Staff was very attentive and professional. The owner let me order a dinner plate at 10am (there’s nowhere else I could’ve gotten that) and I love dinner for breakfast sometimes. Place is definitely 10/10 I’ll probably get another platter from them today.“
“Finally had enough food from here to give it a review. Usually get the fried chicken, which is always on point. Tastes like a grandmother made it with love, and is always consistently good. Have had the fish and that’s good, and they give you a lot for the money. Decided to try the turkey wings yesterday and that’s what made me finally decide to write a review. They were seasoned and tender and had the southern homemade taste I was looking for. All in all, I have to say that Mr Bobby’s is where it’s at.“
“Took the toddler grands for lunch. We got A LOT of food for our money. The mac and cheese alone is worth the visit. Chicken was as good as I've had. I got the breast quarter plate. I wanna probably get a leg quarter next time. Sweet potato and muffin combine to make a serious sweet potato pie in your mouth. Owner and staff were great. Relaxed vibe Small place, two booths and counter seating. We took home leftovers, and they went quick!“

If they explain what’s in the display plate, a little bit better than probably get more orders“
“The food is great. Carry-out only. Usually pretty busy and only have 2 registers to take orders, which isn't too bad but one of the 2 are also taking carry-out orders over the phone, so it's constantly interrupted. It's sort of set up buffet style but there are servers that makes your platter and you can watch them prepare it for you. They usually have 5 or 6 servers however none of them have ever wore hair nets, hats or gloves while filling your order. I take my mom here every so often , she loves this place & I do too, however last week we were a disappointed to a long strand of hair in my mom's food. This could have been prevented by wearing hair nets. As much as I love this place putting in place food safety policies by law would be nice, otherwise I would have given them a 5 star.“
