Unfortunately I don't recommend this place unless you are paying in cash. I came out on Dec 7 thinking I was going to have a good time. The only good time was had was by the they/them bartender with my bank card. I had 2 happy hour drinks $8.50 to $9.00 each. I get my bank statement that following Monday. I have not only the 2 happy hour drinks but, a $12.00, $15.00, another $15.00 and a $ 24.00 dollar one. I called, they wouldn't answer the phone. I went up there and showed...read full review

Leon's Backroom Bar is a unique establishment with a rich history, having served as a secret gathering place for the LGBTQ+ community in the past. The bar features a dark, neon-lit atmosphere, with two separate bars offering distinct vibes. The drinks are affordable, with specials like 2 for 1 deals under $6. The bartender is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Although the bar no longer serves food, it's a great spot for a fun night out, especially for the LGBTQ+ community. Karaoke is available, starting at 9pm on Sundays. With its clean bathrooms and oval-shaped bar in the back room, Leon's Backroom Bar is a gem among the few remaining true dive bars in the neighborhood. Despite some drawbacks, such as the lack of Wi-Fi, the bar's history and charm make it a worthwhile visit.
