She was familiar with the two customers in front of me. It definitely had a neighborhood friendly vibe. The shop was busy. Most of the tables on the first floor were taken up when I was there. Be sure to take a stroll up the stairs. At the top of the stairs was an adorable little spot for two people to sit and chat. The second floor has a great little area to sit and ready or study. The top floor was full of light. I ordered my usual cortado. It was a solid drink. The cortado wasn't bad but it also wasn't anything spectacular to write home about.“

“My Son CJ told me about Carlos and Los Suenos and now I make a trip into Cafe Los Suenos once a month to buy coffee. No other coffee comes close. Customer Service is above anything I have experienced before in any other coffee shop. Carlos deserves this review, but I would love if this shop did not get the attention it deserves and stayed as the best kept secret in Baltimore! If I could it would be getting 7 starts on a scale of one to five! its that good!“

“When we lived in Maryland I bought all of our coffee from High Grounds. I have now moved to Georgia and wouldn't consider changing my coffee source. The main reason that one would go to a coffee roaster for the 2nd, 3rd or 99th time would be for the quality of the coffee, and any one who would rate High Grounds less than 5 star“

“Stopped by for the first time the other day after a walk for a quick bite and some coffee. The space is nice open and airy with plenty of seating and nice vibes. The staff is super nice as well. However, it was a bit dirty in there. I sat off on the side tables and the floor was dirty and the wall where my table was located was pretty gross for some reason. These are white walls so the dirt and...food(?) Zwas pretty noticeable. Also there was something floating in my ice water, which I believe was from the ice itself because I asked for extra ice and the ice had something in it too. Maybe it was coffee grinds, idk, but it shouldnt get in the ice. The food was okay, but the coffee was really good. These are things that can be easily remedied and I hope it happens because its a great place otherwise.“

“Visiting Baltimore for the weekend and stopped by Matriarch coffee.. not only was it the cutest vibes in a tiny green house but the coffee was TO DIE FOR. Ordered a simple hot caramel latte and I must have said “this is amazing” at least 5 times. Would def go out of my way to revisit this cafe!“

“Oh my gosh, what a gem! I tried to go to another local coffee shop and it was so crowded I decided to check my phone for other options nearby. I had no idea this place was here, even though I live really close. It is so cute, the coffee is delicious and comparably priced with other neighborhood coffee shops (while tasting better than where I’d planned to go). They seem to roast as well. “Karen is an amazing baker. She saved the day after we were let down for our wedding cake. She delivered a beautiful 3 tiered cake. The flavours were a delicious lemon with lemon curd, vanilla and raspberry and chocolate biscuit cake. All our guests were raving about it. Couldn't recommend her enough 😊💕“

The food looked yummy but lacked interest- we got two bagels, a bagel sandwich, avocado toast, muffin, and the special sandwich - all was bordering bland. Drinks were not memorable. “My favorite tea, ever. And I am VERY picky about my tea. AND it is very difficult to impress me. AND most tea companies do it wrong. But these people do it Wight 👐 I was initially enchanted when gifted Jasmine tea balls and found out the Jasmine I'd been drinking all my life was trash, haha. Wight changed my life. Since then I have tried a few other varieties including their Marquess Grey which went above and beyond and I completely fell head over heels for. Wow. These teas are so FRESH, fragrant, soothing, and they feel the way tea should in your body: relaxed, happy & fulfilled. I was just gifted their Evening Tisane and am equally enthralled with the product. I can't wait to buy more & gift to my friends & family. Everyone I've ever made a cup of tea for with Wight tea has been amazed by the flavor and aroma. Wight does tea right 🫖“

“I love The Avenue Bakery's warm atmosphere , friendly staff and the delightful smell of fresh baked delicious treats. My family and I are always pleased with everything we purchase especially the sweet potato pies, bread pudding and wheat rolls all are outstanding !!“

The sourdough crust on the pizzas are phenomenal — structurally strong enough to support the toppings without being floppy, nice taste, simultaneously crunchy and soft — a great middle ground. For the effort they’re putting in on the crust alone, it’s a 5-star pizza. However, I tried the supreme and the chicken and felt both could use some balancing when it comes to the flavors of the toppings. I’d buy again, yes, but not in a rush.

There’s outdoor seating that is welcoming to anyone who wants to slow down and enjoy the richness of their cup of coffee.“

“comeback of the decade??? i used to go to coffee olivia every day before class. (if you can't read further bc your attention span is shot, just know this is a POSITIVE REVIEW in praise of their HUMAN-MADE MENUS and handwritten whiteboard sign)

at some point, they went ALL IN on AI slop: AI slop menus, AI slop pictures of their new food menu, the whole nine yards. i only found this out when i went to order my usual and it was like the AI aura made everyone in the building dumber. i stopped going after that bc they messed up my order. AND THEN some hero on staff set them straight. i went back in before class bc it was an emergency and the menu looked normal and cute and everything was human-made. my order was delicious also.

i signed up for rewards bc i've noticed whenever a company embraces AI, you have to treat them like a toddler and like, do positive reinforcement. hence this good review. their current coffee is Flying Monkey which is kinda sharp and tangy but i like it.“

“It was cool. I liked the aesthetic with llamas all over and swing seats in front of the window. It was freeeezing inside. That would be refreshing on a hot summer day, but it was a bit chilly and rainy when we went so I wasn’t a huge fan of the temperature. You order on the screen at the counter, then they call you up to pick up your order. My boyfriend and I were writing there, along with a bunch of other patrons. It’s a nice working vibe. We are thankful to the owners who accommodated our large group. If you want a cozy Greek restaurant with great Greek food you definitely want to try this place out!
