I also served in the military for 23 years and have eaten at dozens of pizza places throughout our great country so I'm very confident in knowing what good pizza is all about and on Aug 30, 2026 I ate at one of the best, if not the best pizza I have ever had at a small corner joint called Angeli's in Baltimore, MD. From the light, airy dough, to the tasty marinara sauce and the high-quality mozzarella cheese all cooked to perfection I was overwhelmed with how good their pizza truly was. And to enhance our experience even more the wait staff and owner was incredibly friendly and attentive and the icing on the cake was meeting Maryann who greeted me with a warm smile and compassionate gratitude when I let her know how great their place and pizza were. Anytime I'm back in Baltimore I will always make time to get a pizza at Angeli's. 10/10 in my book!!!“

Amazing menu , amazing choices and hands down the best pizza I’ve had in a long time . The food and ingredients were all so fresh and tasted amazing. “I was at a birthday catered by Benny’s. The meatballs were outstanding, tender, moist, excellent flavor and the sauce was excellent also! Deep flavors, not strong, with a good texture, without that strong acid, garlicky tomato flavor! Baked pasta was great also! It was good for my tummy also, no reflux, YUMMY 🤗. “Ordered takeout delivery tonight while recovering from complex foot surgery and unable to be on my feet for long—and I’m so glad I did. The food arrived warm, looked absolutely amazing, and tasted just as good as it looked. Every bite was flavorful and clearly thoughtfully prepared. “The is a true local gem. The bar is decorated in a 1970’s theme. They offer old timey beers like Stroh’s and Schaefer as well as inventive cocktails. First off, the young gentleman at the front was the friendliest and most personable person I've ever met at any restaurant. He got us waters and menus and made small talk with us. We got the garlic knots. UPC sampler and a whole pepperoni. Everything was soooooo good!! We had so many leftovers too! What a great find!! “Ok so I’m soo late at writing my reviews. I initially came the first time based off reviews and I couldn’t have been more satisfied. The food and service I received was amazing. He recognized I was a new customer and made my experience feel so personal. So I came back 2 nights ago because of that experience and I remembered I didn’t do a review the first time and just remembered just now, there pizza I got was so good pepperoni and mushroom well done was so good and Rich. And this time I tried the buffalo wings hot, well done and those were also very delicious. You won’t be disappointed, I promise. I waited no more than about 12 mins each time.“

Funny enough, the burger, which was the item I was least excited about based on how it looked, ended up being my favorite. It was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. “No flop on their pizza. Food is great and you can get eggplant, onions or felafel on your pizza (wasted on the school age audience this place caters too-but it’s good food).
Tov pizza also has great falafel, knishes and pretzels.

“Ordered two pies for delivery after seeing pics of a charred sourdough crust on Reddit. It’s a bakery so of course the crust is GOATd. The pizzas are huge and the Peruvian chicken one really stood out. Juicy, smoky, earthy with a fruity spiciness. Truly top tier stuff from Baltoz.

Only complaint is that they don’t sell any of those bomb as pastries for delivery. To be fair, many of their pastries look delicately laminated (very flaky, buttery, crispy) so they might not survive the trip with a Baltimore driver behind the wheel. I’d still risk it though 😂😂😂“

“Locals Only serves some of the best pizza in and around Baltimore—truly top-tier. The pies are consistently excellent, especially when you dine in, and even for takeout they hold up well if you ask for a crispier crust. The Brussels sprout Caesar is another standout, even if it can run a little heavy on the dressing. And for happy hour, the prices are almost unbeatable for the quality you’re getting.

Our experience is really centered on the early evening, and that’s where things feel a bit different from the late-night buzz the place is known for. During happy hour it’s usually surprisingly quiet, which makes it easy to grab a table but also feels unexpected given how popular the restaurant becomes later. The “Locals Only” concept is clever, but despite visiting pretty regularly around that time, we don’t quite feel recognized as locals—something that could make the theme feel more meaningful. The music can also be louder than you’d expect for 5–6pm. Still, even with those quirks, we keep coming back for one very simple reason: the food is excellent.“

“Last week We decided to try pubdog for the first time post covid. The food was just as delicious as I remembered, we got the Thai chicken pizza and the dog pound (I think 🤔 It had pepperoni, sausage, chicken it was great) they're beer selection was different than I remember, a few of the house ciders were missing from the menu though it may just be a seasonal thing, Hopefully. That being said best thing was staff they were so kind & accommodating.“
