First time here. I got two slices of cheese pizza. Very tasty I’ll be back
Have been enjoying Maria D’s for over 30 years….one of my guilty pleasures!
For me pizza falls in two categories: fancy or utility. This is a place for utility pizza. Good crust, excellent sauce and cheese. It’s a walk-up counter with a few tables in a zero-frills joint. Staff was super friendly. I got a slice of pepperoni and a domestic beer (ish) for under $9. I’ll be back.

Maria D's | Light St. is a go-to spot for good food that has never disappointed. The food is great, with authentic city pizza that has big slices and dough of perfect thickness that folds easily. The best pizza in town, and Gyros are delicious too. A huge slice of cheese pizza costs $3 and some change, and the cheesesteak is loved as well. Rice pudding is good at the right time. The customer service is good, and the owner is very friendly. The restrooms and kitchen are clean. Parking can cause anxiety, so calling in an order for a quick grab and go is suggested. Only Angelis competes with Maria D's.
