“Great local place for a crab or lobster roll. When we stopped in he didn’t have any other menu items (it was still early spring, so likely off season). The meat was fresh and the ingredients high quality. Much better than the ‘touristy’ stops along the way.“

“Service was great, so attentive to detail. Friend has a gluten allergy and we were told that her food was being prepared in a separate kitchen. Got the smoked tofu to change it up and absolutely loved it. A bit pricey with smaller portions but great qualityDietary restrictions: Accommodated gluten allergy easily“

“We had a fantastic time!! Seeing the cool ship and cellar area was really cool. Bought some older sours that we can't wait to try. The outside area is very comfortable with games and Of course, the beer is so so good! Food truck on sight is nice. We didn't try it but nice to have the option We will absolutely be back next time we are in Portland!“
“Ideal brewery. Clean, delicious, friendly, competent, efficient. These guys have nailed it. Every single employee was on top of it. No one made you feel like you were an inconvenience or they were doing you a favor by serving you. Refreshing! This saying that was posted on the wall tells you they haven't lost sight of what matters. Will come here again and again.“

“I love this place. The ambiance, the staff, and of course the food. Love the Seaweed Salad with goat cheese!! And all the pizza is yummy homemade woodfire pizza. Consistent and soul fueling. They also give back to the local community and care for the world. Try it you won't be disappointed“
“Foundation Brewing is a fantastic delight. We had the opportunity to meet one of the four owners tonight and she was so friendly. Tina runs the tasting room, if you see her while you're enjoying the beer or pizza... make sure to ask her some questions about her hometown (Detroit, MI) or how Foundation Brewing came to be a local micro-brew.The pizza is a light, fluffy and crunchy exploration in all the best ways you could imagine. I think this brewery is getting the absolute most out of what space they have to work with and their staff is so friendly/helpful/patient. I'm committing myself to returning over and over and being (hopefully) a regular :)10/10 would recommend to anybody in and around the Portland/Westbrook city line.“
“Friendly and inviting, tasty snacks, love the atmosphere.“
“Lone Pine is one of the best breweries in Portland! Shane is amazing! He had made me feel so welcome to the area! Rachael is also amazing! They know how to give great customer service! As a supervisor of a local hospital, the customer service is top notch! I would recommend this brewery to anyone! So amazing thanks to great staff like Shane and Rachael!“

“Lobster flight was great. Got 2 maine and 1 Connecticut. I definitely wish I got 3 Connecticut since they also drizzle butter over it before they give it to you.Parking: There is plenty of parking as long as you go early and the brewery isn't too busy.“

“I recently visited Bite Into Maine after watching them on the show Somebody Feed Phil, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. I tried their signature lobster roll, and it was hands down one of the best I've ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the lobster was incredibly fresh. What sets Bite Into Maine apart is their option to try mini sliders in sets of three with different flavors. This allows you to sample a variety of their offerings, which is perfect if you're indecisive or want to try a bit of everything.Additionally, they have some cute merchandise available, adding to the overall charm of the place. If you're a fan of lobster rolls or just looking for a delicious and unique dining experience, Bite Into Maine is a must-visit.“

Rum is any spirit made from a sugar cane plant which makes is very versatile. Three of Strong uses all organic ingredients that include sugar cane, molasses, slow fermenting yeast and locally sourced water. They do not use any artificial flavors or colors.I enjoyed the tour and of the distillery and learned about the process for making rum. After their tasting session, I found their spiced rum to be one of the best I have ever had. It was smooth and the delivered very flavorful finish when drinking it straight. If you are in Portland, ME, make sure you stop in or visit by going on the “Best of Portland Brewery and Spirits Bus” Tour.“

“We pulled up to Sammy's in Portland and it was closed due to their power being out from a storm that rolled through a few hours earlier. Sammy had a generator in his truck out front running power through the window to keep the ice cream frozen. We told him we were visiting from CT and had heard they had the best ice cream. Sammy asks us what flavors we wanted and went inside and got them for us. What an incredibly nice and generous thing to do. THANK YOU! Not to mention the ice cream was AMAZING! When in Portland, we will be loyal customers, and any friends heading to Portland, look Sammy's up, its worth the trip.“

“This is one of those gems you come by happenstance. I'm coming from NYC where there's no shortage of good middle eastern food. This was one of the best falafels I have ever had. Made there on the spot, fresh, moist, and no need for sauce. As it should be. My shawarma sandwich was perfectly sauced and seasoned. We are really lucky to have this place in town.“
“Sticky Sweet has the most amazing ice-cream flavors. They just happen to be allergy friendly for those of us allergic to just about everything. We have traveled 2 1/2 to get here several times this summer just to have this amazing treat!. thank you Sticky Sweet!“

“We ordered a catered taco bar last week through Bird & Co. for our annual shindig and boy was it worth it! Our spread was incredible. Every item was SO delicious and packaged as cute as can be. Pat made everything so easy for us. No where in town have I received such amazing service. Bird & Co. is my new fav. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!“
“Without a doubt, this food truck located on the Eastern Promenade has become our absolute favorite. It is our go-to place for a delightful Saturday afternoon lunch. The falafel they serve is simply exceptional—crispy and golden on the outside, while being light and incredibly fluffy on the inside. Each wrap is a harmonious symphony of flavors that never fails to impress us.The soft, pillowy pita bread they bake adds a delightful touch, perfectly complemented by the creamy and velvety hummus. What truly elevates the experience are the vibrant and crunchy fresh veggies that provide a burst of freshness with every bite. The portion sizes are remarkably generous, and if you're feeling especially hungry, don't miss out on their fries—they're a worthy addition to your meal. And to take it to the next level of deliciousness, we highly recommend trying one of their flavorful sauces.Beyond the phenomenal food, the stunning views of Casco Bay make the whole experience even more memorable. There's something magical about enjoying a scrumptious falafel while being surrounded by such breathtaking scenery. If you're in the area, grab a picnic bench and make it a point to visit. You won't be disappointed!“
“This was a small tasting room compared to most other breweries I’ve visited in the past. However, this is where size really doesn’t matter as it boils down to the potency and flavor of their brews. I have never heard of them previously (also did not even know they were the first NE craft brewery) but noticed patrons walking in and out from the other side of the street. I asked a local friend that I was with and he simply told me to go get a flight in, which I did not hesitate in the least to do.Definitely was worth checking out when in the area. There were a bunch of locals hanging out in there with various brews in their hands. They were obviously proud of the place and welcomed me in as I ordered two flights to taste most of what they had to offer. $20 to taste 8 brews with lovely locals to chat with? Absolutely worth it.Good stuff. Definitely stop by if you’re traveling through.“
“I don't normally hit breweries because I'm not a beer drinker, but a friend of mine was in a terrible accident and Rising Tide so graciously hosted a fundraiser. Not only did they donate a proceed of their sales, they had donation cups on the counter to collect cash. From what I hear, it was a very successful benefit, so for that THANK YOU for supporting our friend. As I said before, I'm not a beer drinker so I can't speak to the flavors of their local brews, but they did have an apple pie flavored cider on tap, wine, and a couple of other non-beer drinks to accommodate others. I appreciated the choices. You gotta get some snacks when you are indulging in alcoholic beverages. We ordered the soft pretzels and the baked feta. Wow! We were so surprised with how yummy they both were. Baked feta was new to us all, but we've been left craving it and can't wait to meet again! The pitas for dipping were seasoned to perfection and we actually had enough of them to finish the dish. I hate it when you get a whole bowl of dip and like 4 pieces of pita. Not here! I was wondering, is it weird if I stop by just to eat?!“

“We popped in after a show and enjoyed every sip and bite. A varier of small plates that included Korean Fried Chicken (tender thigh meat with a perfect amount of kick), Jalapeño Tempura (delicious), Grilled Mackerel (too salty for our taste but beautiful presentation), and Chicken Meatballs (three-bite meatballs w/a demi glaze and egg yolk) as well as a Salmon Poke Bowl. The server (filling in for the bartender) recommended thé Soju (the Korean version of Sake). I am now a fan and on the hunt for it in Central Maine. All the staff was wonderful and service was swift. What a gem in the middle of Old Port! We will definitely go here again and want to try the bbq downstairs (think diy hibachi!)“

“Oh My God what a gem this place is! First off when you walk in it smells incredible. I had the Godmother grilled cheese. It was so good I couldn't hold a conversation......or maybe it was their margaritas!! Anyway the sandwich was unbelievable and the "secret sauce" on the side for dipping is something I didn't think I needed but ended up wanting to be buried in!“

“If you have never seen a JUMBO whoopie pie before, you need to head to Wicked Whoopies. It costs $18 dollars and had icing as thick as 1.5 inches if not more. It feeds 8 people like a cake does. The regular size whoopie pies are great, and there is a large selection, but you will be nearly $3 a pie. To me that's a bit on the pricey side, unless you want to be 10 or more than the price comes down. The occasional indulgence is worth the visit. The pumpkin whoopie is one of my favorites.“
