Aside from the selection, the staff is very friendly and attentive. This is one of the last stands of places that don't try to make beer a political statement, while keeping beer as a common interest, as it should be. I appreciate the simplicity of this place and how they do all the necessary things correctly. They serve coffee for a period of time and that is also very good. If you want a relaxed social atmosphere with beer, coffee, and/or food possibilities, this is a good one!”

“We went there on a Saturday evening, and the place was PACKED! It was very hard to walk in to put our names down, but the staff remained calm, respectful and friendly... I don't know how they do it! But they took care of everyone on their turn. The menu is full of options, I loved how they put pictures of the rolls, so you know exactly what to expect. We got the colosseum and it was delicious , the sushi rolls were so good too. It's one of the very few places that still do the "bogo" and the quality is excellent. I loved how they were so generous with the fish roe .”

The last time we went, the waitress brought our appetizers with the salad. Then taking my salad before I was done. The main course came quickly after that. I can see this hopping once. It's been the last few times that we felt rushed. Disappointed”

I actually found this place on Door Dash and after trying the Beyti Kabab I was sold. The owner is a wonderful human being and very hands on with her business. You can tell she takes enormous pride in the food. Not just the way it looks when addressed to you but the taste. As my guru says "One day, the earth will consume you. What you consume decides when you will be consumed." They also have VEGAN PIZZA! Kid-friendliness: No better way to raise your kids than starting them on what fresh food should feel like and how your body reacts to it. Especially when GMO is trying to consume the planet.”

The food was served on a tray, and condiments and drinks are self serve at the counter. Our seafood was ok, portions were plentiful. The homemade banana pudding dessert was a disappointment, not a banana to be found. We didn’t try the barbecue and smoked meats but they smelled wonderful. Pupper friendly outside.”

Especially enjoyed the spot-on flavors of the rice, eggplant salad, tzatziki and hummus! Also appreciated that the Captain’s plate was Gluten-free!!Vegetarian options: All sides are vegetarian. “Had the most incredible looking and tasting cake made and brought to a friend's birthday party, from a Taste of Brooklyn! She's super into sloths and David Bowie, so, we made a very off the wall request to the bakers here, and they absolutely nailed it. You'll need to get a look at the pictures to see what I mean, but definitely do so, because you're going to want you own after you see it. The amount of detail on the cake was incredible, the icing was flawlessly smooth on top, with an incredible representation of Bowie as a sloth. The sides were meticulously styled to look like fur, which made for a fun experience taking it out of the box. Adults and kids were impressed, even if the kids didn't get the reference. It also tastes as good as it looked. Cake perfectly moist through all the layers, icing was creamy without being overpoweringly sweet. The ratio of cake to icing was spot on. I'm not normally one to prefer a chocolate on chocolate cake, normally wanting more contrast, but this one i definitely finished a full piece. I'd highly recommend A Taste of Brooklyn for all your baking needs!”
