“What an incredible restaurant! I never go to New Bern without having a meal at Cypress Hall. The food is top-notch, the environment is so welcoming, and the staff is very kind. Kayla is a fantastic waitress who will take care of your table so well. Chef Daniel is a mastermind in that kitchen and your food will be more delicious than you can imagine. Highly recommend.”

“Hayden was a fantastic host. Did everything right and helped everyone find a way to the bullseye. He gently coached each of us in all ways of the axe. From the heavier ones to the throwing knives. If we had trouble he was there to set us right.”

“Visited the Til It's Gone food truck. I had the fish and fries, and my daughter had wings and fries. IT WAS AMAZING!! Everything was seasoned to perfection, right down to the fries. There was just one problem, after I finished my fish and fries, I DIDN'T HAVE ANY MORE!! I've decided I'm gonna be a Til It's Gone groupie, because I'm definitely going to be spending a lot time there!! If you're looking for a tasty, affordable meal while you're out and about, go show them some love! I promise you will not regret it!!”

“Liked the bar before, but LOVE it now. The new owner did a fantastic job, flipping this into a “garage”. The atmosphere is amazing, everything is so fresh and clean. The staff is charming and I love all the new bar games, that are now available. Prices are great, live music was outstanding. A new must go to.”

“We visited Lawson's On The Creek today after we couldn't get to the Cherry Point Airshow. That's a story for another day! So that our trip from High Point wasn't totally wasted we decided to visit New Bern and have lunch. We asked a local on a bicycle where he recommended and he said "Lawson's!" He said he was on his way there too! The food was tasty and we would definitely return if in the area. The tea was perfect 1/2 and 1/2 sweet/unsweet. I love tea! The roast beef was tender and the turkey tasty. The panini tots were something new and different. We sat outside to enjoy the nice day. They even have a section on the menu for pups! A pup cup, cut up chicken or a hot dog! So cool! It's tucked behind the museum so you may have to hunt for it but don't give up!”

“The Pad Thai is my go to with the thai tea and you can’t forget about the delicious dessert (sticky rice with mango). The service was great, friendly people and great atmosphere. DEFINITELY recommend.”

“3rd time I've eaten here and still the best Italian food in new Bern Nc ... must get the veal parmigiana and my wife had the tour of Italy and Alfredo was excellent. Tiramisu with espresso was excellent also.”

“Best view in New Bern.I recommend going for drinks on the deck. The food is hit or miss so I usually go somewhere else to dine. The portions are getting smaller and smaller, too. I love the views so I frequent for the drinks and views!”

“I'm giving the restaurant a five star review, mostly because I'm a nice person. We used to go here all the time. Then, they opened a second section (good for them, business is booming), and we stopped going. We had to wait for a table, were ignored by the waitstaff, and the restaurant was very loud due to a lack of soundproofing. I wish the owners the best of luck. The food is good. But the wait for it has become too long for my liking. It used to be a go-to place. Maybe when I return again, it will be better, perhaps this is just growing pains.”

“A HUGE selection of whiskey/bourbons and such an amazing use of all the space behind the bar. Food was delicious, drinks were creative and inexpensive. Service was great!”

“We were visiting New Bern on vacation and wanted some pizza for lunch. I found Famous Subs & Pizza on Yelp and checked out the menu and the reviews and we headed to the restaurant. We were greeted when entering and were told to sit where we want. We found our seat and Anita brought us our menus, silverware and napkins. I will just say everything was perfect! Anita did a great job, very attentive but not overly attentive, we ordered side salads which were very fresh and a meat lovers pizza which was the best I have had. Their menu has a huge variety of options and I definitely want to come back to try more. Sorry I didn't get pictures but me and my husband had absolutely no leftovers and devoured everything when it was brought to the table! I highly recommend if you're in the area. Great food, great staff and clean, roomy dining area.”

“We came on a Sunday afternoon and the wait was not bad - about 10-15 minutes. We sat outside on this beautiful sunny 74 degree day. Our waitress quickly came out to greet us & take our drink orders. She was so sweet and friendly, especially to our little baby boy who was curiously looking around.We ordered and maybe 15 min later our food came out. Wow! Everything we tried was so good. I got the Soft Shell Crab BLT Sandwich, my husband got the Grouper Fish & Chips, & we ordered a side of the cheese grits for our son. My sandwich was everything I had hoped it would be - the crab was fried perfectly and the bun was soft and fresh. My husband’s Grouper Fish & Chips were lightly battered but not overly crunchy (in a good way!). But the surprising star? The cheese grits. What in the world are they made with? I usually don’t like grits, but my son is 8 months and needed something to snack on. They were so good I was stealing it from him. I’m left looking up cheese grits recipes and am sure to be thinking about them the rest of the week.If you’ve never been you have to give it a try. You’ll definitely regret it if not.”

“We arrived around 11am it was packed (but the wait was not long)! We could smell the deliciousness from down the street and the inside decor was adorable. I got the brown bear latte (white chocolate and caramel), it’s amazing. I’ve been struggling to order good drinks this vacation, so I’m glad this one makes up for all the bad ones Ive had. 2 medium and 1 large latte with 2 bagels and a cookie was $25. At Starbucks that would’ve been $200, probably. Wish this place was where I live, I’d be there everyday.”

“We were recommended this place by someone at a barber shop and he knew what he was talking about because it was GREAT! My husband had the asada/chorizo tacos with beans and rice while I had the same just without chorizo. The tacos were the BEST tacos I’ve actually ever had! Meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection, the tortilla had a nice subtle crisp, it came with onions and cilantro (with options to add extras) and they have some amazing verde sauce served bar style in the seating area! This will be a must stop each time we’re up in New Bern, I already cannot wait to visit again!! There’s indoor and outdoor seating, card is accepted and yes to handicap parking spaces.”

“With all the great reviews, I took a relative for an early dinner. The best cheese sticks I have ever eaten and the garlic knots were good, but don't fill up on the appetizers. I had the Stromboli, which was massive. Ended up taking half home and my relative had the basic spaghetti and meatballs, saying they were best meatballs she's had in years. The location is a little out west in River Bend in the only strip shopping center, but worth the drive.”

“Excellent beer, amazing baked goods (pepperoni rolls, cinnamon rolls and the muffins - all tasty and baked on site), great environment and the friendliest staff makes Brewery 99 my favourite small business in the New Bern area. I go here to work in the mornings with my laptop to get a coffee and a muffin, and I come back at night with my wife for our date nights to get a beer or some food when they have food trucks outside. Highly recommended.”

“China king never disappoints! They are a friendly family owned business with authentic cuisine. The dinner combo plates are a fantastic deal with enough food to save for lunch the next day. Combos come with an egg roll and you can get noodles or fried rice with them. I love that I can call in my order and have my food in 15 minutes.Vegetarian options: You can substitute tofu for meat or have a vegetable dish without meat added.”

“Great buffet for a good price. Buffet is open till 3:30pm. I've heard good things about their dinner menu but haven't tried it myself. Staff are super friendly. Food is consistently replaced.Do not order hot tea. It comes in a Styrofoam cup and you're given a straw. You will burn your mouth.They have good dumplings, fried rice and chicken. Their lomein is ok. They have the creamiest potatoes I've ever eaten. I didn't try them for a long time because I felt they didn't belong in a Chinese restaurant, but now I get them every time I go.Be careful when you choose to go. There is a huge rush after church on Sundays which can make it hard to get a table. As with any buffet, the earlier you go the better.”

“Looking for really good and fresh Thai food? This is most definitely your place! Off the beaten path from the regular touristy area, an old fast food restaurant, nicely cleaned up inside, still needs some exterior work to make it look a little more presentable. It was really clean inside , bathrooms and front area. Service was quick and our server working solo did a great job. They have a pretty extensive menu, Thai and sushi. I didn't see any alcohol, just soft drinks and Thai tea. We went at lunch and although not really busy for sit down , there seemed to be a steady flow of take out pick up. We ordered chicken lettuce wraps for the table, even though it came with our entrees, this was a really good light app, the sauce was nice and flavored. I had the spicy basil stir fry, pad Kra prow , with chicken, I asked for Thai hot number 5, and yes! It was, really good and spicy! Loved this spicy dish, served with rice, great light sauce, peppers, onions and green beans, this is my go to Thai dish and this didn't disappoint. Nice serving, plenty of chicken, and nicely presented. My friends had the tuna poke bowl, which again looked super delicious and fresh, lots of tuna, avocado, cucumber and plenty of sauce drizzled. She wiped that bowl clean! The peanut lovers with chicken, was also a great dish, I rarely see this on menus, but my friend said she loved the peanut sauce and all the crushed peanuts on the dish. Again great presentation and some to go home too. Reasonable prices, great fresh, hot food, and good service, I really hope this place does well and people find out about it. Nothing fancy about it but when you want good food they have that!”

“We've been enjoying the food at Michaels for over a year. Love the hot dogs, Reuben Sandwich and nachos. Need to diversity and try some of their other entrees though. Not only is the food great but so is the service. Tonya who runs the bar and the food service is wonderful. I enjoy going there to talk to her. Always in great spirits and has a smile on her face. Her husband is the Chef also. Always a fun dining experience.”

“Tonight was our 2nd visit here and both our visits have been great! This is a busy place but service is exceptional. Tonight, Chris, apologized they could not be as attentive as usual because they were busier than usual for a Sunday night…. However, we considered the service tonight better/more attentive than at traditional restaurants. Customer service seems harder and harder to come by, but you will find it plentiful here. Side note- the burgers are absolutely delicious.”

“It's a happening little place. I know why! Staff is mostly college students it seems but all very friendly and service is pretty fast. The place is clean inside and it's a pretty loud environment but worth it. I tried one of their orange crush drinks. Not my favorite but to each their own. It was drinkable. I also got some fries and a couple chili dogs with their sauce. Needless to say, I got another one. Their chili is great and whatever that sauce is, they hit the nail on the head. I'll be back every chance I get.”

Really nice choices for beer and wine, which is great cause the wife likes the grapes and I like the hops and it's usually one or the other on our stops. Great choices for walk out beers and wines. Worth stopping in if you're in the downtown area. Great walking around the area as well, waterfront, live music all about, what's not to love!”

The workers were very pleasant and helpful when we requested something extra. “Been there three times. Haven't tried all Their items but the habachi with scallops was delicious as was the tempura. I was impressed with reasonable prices, abundant quantity, taste, and service. When I want Japanese I'll go back. One caveat, my tempura veggies came out fine except the sweet potato was not cooked at all and impossible to bite into. I mentioned it to server. All I got was a shrug. Otherwise, it's a cut above the others.”

“Ms. Kelly is literally such a Sweet Bee. I needed a custom/silly Ohio State-themed birthday cake for a friend and she whipped up the cutest 6” double-layered chocolate & vanilla cake! Very reasonably priced and beautifully done. The inside atmosphere is bright but quaint, welcoming, and smells heavenly. Couldn’t help but get other goodies when paying for my order. Only been in twice, so far!, but each time she had different pastries in the display case. I saw cran/orange & blueberry muffins, ginger & chocolate chip & sugar cookies, danishes, apple & cherry turnovers, and many different cupcakes. Come early for first pick at them, only two were left at the end of the day! Can’t wait to come back, this will be my future spot for cupcakes & custom cakes as long as I live within a 50-mile radius!”

I have app and wasn't sure I could pay with that being a part of Harris teeter but I could do I did lol.. it's a small Starbucks but they offer quite a bit.. they don't have the foods that Starbucks normally have but it's fine when there's one just down road that does! There was 2 girls working and they got my coffee out quicker than going thru drive thru at other ones.. very impressed and very happy with my visit today!”
