“We were visiting New Bern on vacation and wanted some pizza for lunch. I found Famous Subs & Pizza on Yelp and checked out the menu and the reviews and we headed to the restaurant. We were greeted when entering and were told to sit where we want. We found our seat and Anita brought us our menus, silverware and napkins. I will just say everything was perfect! Anita did a great job, very attentive but not overly attentive, we ordered side salads which were very fresh and a meat lovers pizza which was the best I have had. Their menu has a huge variety of options and I definitely want to come back to try more. Sorry I didn't get pictures but me and my husband had absolutely no leftovers and devoured everything when it was brought to the table! I highly recommend if you're in the area. Great food, great staff and clean, roomy dining area.“

“The food was great but the service and professionalism from the bartender Hank was phenomenal! I have been to countless restaurants and bars that specialize in bourbon but they all fall short for one common reason. They don’t have Hank. I’m just down here in New Bern visiting family and I will always make it a priority to stop in Poppy’s Bites and Barrels every time I am back in town.“

Never hum drum. Did I mention they have a full bar as well?????? Rumor has it, the ladies at Mosquito Hunters eat there all the time too. That's a sure sign the food is great!“

“The perfect location for a romantic evening with your dinner date(s) (i went w my fiance and daughter). We were craving Indian food and as we arrived, the ambiance was so warm and welcoming. The lady, which i assume is the owner, was so kind to my daughter which made me realize this was probably a family-owned restaurant which makes you always feel a bit more warmer inside. The food was sooooo yummy. Infused with so many different delicious flavors, we were so impressed. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala and my fiance got the Lamb Shahi Korma, both of our dishes with a side of rice and garlic naan and we were so impressed!!
