Tried the last of the AC restaurants tonight, Poole's. We were very excited to try the mac n cheese, and at least that did not disappoint. Unfortunately, like her other restaurant Death & Taxes, the timing between appetizer/salad and entree was subpar, with a 40 minute wait time in between. The food, however, was delightful. If you're in town do not skip this joint. The retro diner vibe fits perfectly with the cocktails and (much elevated) comfort food experience. One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Highly recommend the roast chicken, the "Pickle Juice" Caesar salad and the Marinated Avocado...but really everything (we ordered one-of-each entrees and shared). Stopped at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. If you're a vegetarian your options are really only salads or the butternut squash ravioli, but don't let this deter you from coming.
