“We visit the area from Kentucky several times a year, and on this trip we found Dough Boys Pizza & Wings. First of all, the beer selection was very impressive. They had import beer, domestic, craft, you name it, they had it. They even had PBR on draft. We got a small Fire on the Mountain pizza. The crust was crispy, chewy, and full of flavor. The ranch base and that seasoned chicken was top notch! This masterpiece was only $13!!!! How do they make it so good and sell it so cheap!?!? You can tell that there is pride in ownership in this place. We are already planning another trip to eat more pizza and do some hiking.“

“We wanted a local breakfast restaurant during our visit to Maggie Valley, and found The Buttered Biscuit. Everything is made from scratch and the Biscuits are huge! Will go again no doubt! True Southern Breakfast!“

“My wife and I live about a mile away, maybe we are biased. The food is always good, the worst service we ever got was when they were literally slammed busy. I bring friends and family here when they visit and I have never heard a complaint. Miss Wendy and her staff are awesome. Will keep going back.“

“We’ve been going to Pub 319 for years. We’ve been twice in the past few weeks and there’s a wonderful change to the restaurant. The menu has been updated with new choices, the service is outstanding and they now offer music a few nights a week. We enjoyed Darren and Jennifer Nicholson last night. The Pub was packed but the service was still great…as was the food. The new management has done a fantastic job with all of their updates…including outside seating. Kudos to the whole staff!“

“Best Mexican in Waynesville“

“Found this gem of a place on a Wednesday night, after a sunset elopement on Max Patch. They were 10 minutes from closing but welcomed us in, fed us delicious food, and gifted us a bottle of wine to celebrate. We’d never heard of this town before, being visitors from out of town, but the kindness of the staff and patrons, as well as the cool vibe of the Waynesville downtown will bring us back. We can’t thank you enough for feeding us and making us feel so welcome. Five stars for hospitality. See you again soon!!“

“On my recent week long visit to Waynesville my wife and I dined at Birchwood on two occasions. The first time was on our arrival before checking in to our little cottage on Shelton Street. It was around one o’clock and we were greeted by the hostess and decided to avoid any wait, and be seated at the bar. We received excellent attentive service there and we thoroughly enjoyed our food and beverage. My wife had the Steak Soup and the Beet Salad, and I had the Burger. Everything was delicious. On our last night (Wednesday) we decided to make a reservation for 7 PM and sit at a table. Upon arriving we made our way through the line of folks without reservations to the hostess desk and waited and waited as apparently the hostess is responsible for clearing and cleaning tables and not dedicated to hosting. First sign of “front of house” issues and short staffing. Upon being seated (front right table for four) we were eventually greeted by our server, Jacqueline who apologized for the delay and took our drink order. Drinks were excellent. We then ordered asking to split the Angus Ribeye entree and requested a salad to also share. The time went on and on, and after awhile whenever our server came within my sight to nearby tables, I would wave or try and catch a glance our way, but there was no attention paid to us. After an hour of being seated I got up and walked towards her questioning with my arms and asking at least to bring us our salads? She assured me “it’s coming “….Sure enough someone brought our entree…. and then our salad arrived. This totally ruined the evening. You would hope to entertain your salivary glands at dinner, not create stomach acid due to poor service. Short staffing and poor “front of house practices. I’d give it a 3.5 rating until they fix their issues. Food I’d give a 4.75!“

“We showed up 30 min before close and we’re worried we might get that “we are closing soon”attitude. Not even close. They brought us in and made sure we had everything we needed. ALL of the staff we met were super nice and the BBQ was even better! We had brisket, chicken and the RIBS. Nothing was left on our plates.
We love to travel and find off the path local joints and this was a bullseye. I highly recommend. Thank you Fat Buddies - from Canada.“

“Took some visiting family to Heritage Singletree Kitchen last night and we all loved our dishes. I have celiac disease and am often relegated to a salad when dining out. Not a this fine dining restaurant! Last night two of us ordered the halibut with beure blanc sauce and it was outstanding! We started our meal with their tried and true crab fritters….delicious! (It’s rare I can eat friend food but Singletree has a dedicated gluten free fryer!) Our dining partner ordered the pork chop and he devoured it, everything was perfect from the cocktails to the expanding dessert menu. We shared the flourless chocolate torte while our gluten loving friend had the fried ricotta donut holes. Perfect evening.
Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten free options from starters to dessert.“
