“We visited Waynesville and the Church Street Depot was recommended to us. I do not really care for burgers. Well, we went 5 times to eat burgers there during our stay! The speciality blend is a must! The staff were extremely helpful in going over the menu. My husband tried all the different special burgers. He loved every one of them! The fries are out of this world too! Definitely will be back to visit them for another burger soon!!! We loved the Church Street Depot!”

“We had the steak taco and beef cheeks taco. Both were good. I would say the beef cheeks was better than the steak. We ordered two of each as they are small. The tortillas are home made and good. We prefer flour tortillas to corn, but that's just a preference. Based on the reviews on yelp, my expectations were really high. Jose's Taco Truck was good......just not "as good" as I expected. The service was excellent. The lady in the truck was very friendly and helpful. The place has a 100% rating for sanitary conditions. That's a huge plus in my book. We will go back and eat there again since it's only $4.00 a taco.”

“My new guidelines for tipping 20-25% for good to excellent FULL table service 10-15% if you stand in line to order,take a number and your food is brought out to you. 10% max if I'm fetching my own water and silver and bussing my own table. That's mighty generous if you ask me. And zero tip for ordering a pastry out of a case and having it bagged and handed over the counter to me. This place expects a minimum 15% tip for that? This is so offensive I might not come back. Even tho you have a good product. FWIW”

“Went here for a special date. The tomato pie was delicious. My husband's duck duo made him happy. Juicy, tender. The Perloo I ordered was too greasy to eat. I don't think the sausage was drained. By the time it cooled to a temp I could eat it, grease was floating in puddles along the surface. The picture is when it first came to our table. I was disappointed. They did make it right, though, by offering a replacement dish to go. I gave it to our son as we had plans, but, I did try a bite of it. Our server took a bit long to get a drink and my husband's first choice of top shelf scotch was not in stock and it took 20 minutes to figure that out.. One issue was that the booth had seats that were torn to shreds. I looked at other booths and many were that way. The ragged vinyl scratched my legs in the short dress I was wearing. All that being said, we'd go back, I'll just skip the Perloo and wear pants.”

We always order the Ricardo pizza and a pepperoni with feta cheese added pizza with garlic knots as a starter. Delicious!!”

Clean and with a good sanitation score of 100. Friendly staff. Prices are on the higher side considering it's so casual but they aren't too pricey all things considered.I ordered a salad with grilled shrimp. I'm super picky about seafood--if it's not fresh looking/tasting, I won't eat it. This shrimp was plump and juicy and fresh tasting. Not overcooked. Not under-seasoned. The house wine Pino Noir I had was surprisingly good for a house wine. My friend had the filet medallions and they were tender and tasty. The food arrived at a reasonable time considering how busy they were.Better either go very early, or wait and see what happens. I was really surprised to see how crowded it was at 5, which I thought was super early as people had been arriving since 4--we snagged the last parking spot. It calmed down about 6:30 but was still hopping busy. Note that there are limited hours of 4PM to 8PM, which is a bit early for dinner hours (well, the 4PM is) but if you don't mind that, head on over and grab a seat: indoors or outdoors.I'll go back.”

The only reason I rated this restaurant four stars instead of five is that it is expensive (in my opinion). We had lunch. Three lunch specials with water and our bill was $50. That's a bit steep for casual Mexican food.”

They are only serving food in to go containers/paper plates due to staffing shortage, so the fajitas don’t come out sizzling like you’re likely used to. It is a small indoor seating area, but at this point we will be back because honestly papas and beer hasn’t been great for a while.”
