“It's been a very long time since I enjoyed a nice bite to eat at Newick's Lobster House. I remember late afternoons dining in with my family for special occasions. My great-grandmother would consistently rave about how phenomenal their clam chowder is... That being said, Newick's still holds up to its name! Food is as phenomenal as it always has been, and the new renevations made to the building bring a new life to this loving family restaurant. I absolutely recommend the onion rings as they are cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully.“

“Amazing food and pleasant staff. The lunch prices are very cheap considering how good the food is. The portions are above average and it's an overall great atmosphere. This is for sure, one of the best Hibachi Restaurants in NH. I recommend it to families or date nights!“

“Was late night Friday and not many places were open but we knew they were till 12 midnight so we stopped in and got dinner. If remember correctly they had about 10 beers on tap including local brewers beers which was nice they also had speciality drinks as well after ordering drinks we ordered a Bacon burger,Buffalo fingers and mozzarella sticks. The burger was great and the appetizers came out in minutes and were awesome! The menu didn't have any desert listed but we asked and they said they had a strawberry shortcake desert with ice cream and a brownie desert as well so we happily ordered both and they came out looking delicious and were not small in size. Both were great! It was a cold late night so it was quite in there but it looks as if there's normally a band and there's a bar and tables out on the back deck which is directly on the river and there's boats docked all along the back of restaurants. Definitely a cool place to eat on a summer night. I've heard it's really busy in summer time and on weekends and I could see why. There's tons of tvs, and lottery to play while you wait!“

“Ok, I give them a benefit of a doubt with 4 stars because they have been around so long. It's not quite what it used to be though. Prices are up and you get a little less in the fact they no longer serve rolls before your dinner. I know, same story everywhere, but here it seems to be more striking. Seems they've tried to accentuate the bar area, and in doing so, they are alienating the diners going for a quiet meal. The bar was rather loud during dinner with occasional outbursts of people having fun, I'm not saying that it's bad, just not what Anderson going to just have a nice meal would want. They could benefit from adding sound proofing between the bar and dining areas. As for the food, it was very good, cooked well and flavorful. Unfortunately the plate was so cold, I felt I had to eat fast or not be able to enjoy warm food. Maybe keep the plates in a warmer spot? I'll update next time I go back and see if they improve. Lastly service was good, waitstaff was pleasant and just attentive enough.“

“I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants, but I met a friend here for dinner. We shared the artichoke dip for an appetizer, and I had a penne and chicken special. I appreciated that the food was hot ? (temperature wise), but my pasta dish lacked flavor. The cream sauce was too plain for me.I've been to this restaurant before since it is convenient for my traveling friends, and even though the food isn't great, the service always is. I give them 5 stars for great service!“

“I stumbled upon the roost a few year ago and have had many different experiences, some good, some not so great but Last week I went in during lunch with my wife and our friends. Our waitress was more than amazing! She was very cheerful, fun, knowledgeable and very observant! I am a veteran but also someone who NEVER asks if a restaurant has a veterans discount. Our server noticed my military pin on my jacket and asked if I had served our country, the answer was yes in which she instantly thanked me for my service and informed me that they offer a veterans discount for “those who serve our country”. I was very impressed because no one has ever been so observant as she was as well as having some really great recommendations on food and drinks and was able to carry an awesome conversation with our table! Although she was by herself and somewhat busy (making drinks, cleaning, and delivering food) her service continued to be impeccable and she didn’t even look flustered at all! She also had a very unique name that my wife really fell in love with! Although when she first brought us our check she had forgotten to put the discount on our bill (we did not tell her she had forgotten it) but as soon as she came back over to grab our payment, she realized her mistake and immediately applied the discount for us. My wife, our friends, and I have been to many restaurants and all agreed that this was the best experience we have ever had! We will be back again to visit our new favorite server!“
