“The cuisine was passable. A few of the dishes, particularly the dumplings, had the texture of frozen food. When I observed a worker unwrapping a fresh bag of what appeared to be frozen dumplings, my suspicions were aroused. The menu's other items appear to be generally good. The plastic Tupperware containers they use to serve food are kind of cheap and inappropriate given the price I paid. Though I doubt it would be my first visit, I wouldn't mind going back.“

“I was in New York City to visit my parents in January 2024. Obviously, I then had to meet up with close friends that I don't normally get to see every day. One of my foodie friends and I decided to meet up. We always try to go to a new place that we both haven't tried - and we ended up here at Cheli. Cheli is a Chinese Restaurant (specifically Shanghainese) located in East Village (Manhattan) and Flushing (Queens). My friend, his girlfriend, and I went to the Flushing Location. According to their website, Che Li presents a distinctive dining experience, weaving together the rich tapestry of Song Dynasty banquet culture with the authentic and sophisticated flavors of Shanghai cuisine. Their culinary philosophy is deeply rooted in the heritage of Jiangnan--a region known for its delicate beauty, culinary finesse, and the origin of Shanghai's gastronomic excellence. Characterized by its subtle yet profound flavors, meticulous preparation, and elegant presentation, their cuisine pays tribute to this heritage while celebrating the refined communal spirit of Song Dynasty feasts. We were all super excited to try! Between the 3 of us, we tried the following: - Wine Soaked Chicken - Crab Meat and Pork Soup Dumplings - Sweet and Sour Crispy Eel - Nine Spiced Rabbit - Hot Stone Braised Rice (mushroom) - Sauteed Water Spinach - Black Sesame Sticky Rice Balls - Rose Lemonade Super fun and feels like an authentic experience. My friend had to order in Chinese - and I obviously pointed to the menu to order since my Chinese skills are limited. Never been to China but I would imagine the decor is pretty representative. Food, service, ambiance were A+. ENJOY!!“

“Today, my niece made an appointment with us at Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao, which originally opened on Prince Street in Flushing, New York. We ordered two cages of Xiao Long Bao (six pieces), radish shortbread (four pieces), and chicken and shrimp shumai (four pieces). Unexpectedly, The portions are so generous and bigger than expected. It’s really worth it.“

“We came here with Mommy a while back. It was lunchtime. They had a line to enter the restaurant. Wow, that must be good. We ordered a whole Peking duck, pan-fried noodle seafood, sauteed pea leaves in garlic sauce, and fish filet with mushroom. I enjoyed the fish filet and sauteed pea leaves, which were the best dishes. Peking Duck was not bad and the seafood pan-fried noodle was so-so. However, Peking Duck was less crisp than the place I had in Chinatown. In short, everything was delightful! If we return, I really want to get that pea leaves again. This vegetable rock! Fish filets differed from what I had expected. One thing about Peking Duck is that they gave unlimited buns to eat with, but there wasn't much meat left because they filet the duck without leaving the bones for the customers. It's better to order a few filets of Peking duck rather than a whole duck. The place is a huge, two-floor restaurant. We had a table downstairs, which was pretty spacious from one table to the other. We'll return to try some other dishes and vegetables. Nice!“

“We enjoyed this restaurant. Would really give this a 4.5. We came here at about 1:05 pm on a Saturday for a 1:30 pm reservation. We were about to get seated a 5 min or so after arriving which was nice. It was surprising to see how busy it was for lunch. Due to their business, it took us several minutes to get our menus and such. We decided quickly what to eat and were able to put our order in quickly. We had the dandan noodles, soup dumplings, soup wontons, ginger spinach and rice. Everything was really tasty. We were seated in the larger, back area of the restaurant and it was a bit loud but what counted was how good the food was. Would highly recommend. I spent a lot of time in China and this food tasted like I was right back there.“

“$8 for 8 dumplings, and they are great!! Soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings were awesome. We also got the chicken pan fried noodle and that was very good. This place is a STEAL for NY priced food. After tax and tip, we payed $15 a person.I had no expectations, and I was pleased. The soup dumplings were yummy. I can’t speak to Price because I didn’t pay, but I don’t think it was too expensive. I’d probably come back again. They had a card register, but they were cash only. So maybe that was because we came when they were about to close, but look out“

“Slightly hard to write this review as I arrived a bit late to the meal. I went here months upon months ago. Not knowing that this was part of Dun Huang, I thought I went to the wrong restaurant but it turned out it was one and the same which was surprising. I was here with a group of nine others. As I arrived a bit late, the soup dumplings had already been there a while but they were still of very good quality. My favorite of the night was the Salted Egg Yolk & Shrimp Stir-Fried Rice Cakes. The texture of the rice cakes were perfect and the egg yolk complimented it well. I also liked the Dry Fried Shredded Eel & Chives. I also would have preferred them less shredded as I couldn't taste much of the eel texture but the sauce was nice and the blend with the chives added some good depth. The Fried Dough Twist Spicy Chicken or Laziji with Mahua was also surprisingly spicy for a restaurant which is primarily Shanghainese now so I guess they still have some influence from the old Dun Huang. I've had it before with these dough twists from the excellent Peppercorn Station and these rivaled that place even though the chicken there was a bit pricier but then again there was larger pieces of chicken in the latter. The Fish Fillets in Sour Cabbage Soup was also pretty solid as well as the Grilled Lamb Kebabs. You can essentially see Andie's review for the rest of my thoughts as they essentially reiterate hers. Yes it was too hot inside and as I was rushing to get there, I got warmer than most but oh well. Would go back but maybe go during the fall or winter if the AC isn't fixed yet. Mid 4“

“An inconspicuous hole-in-the-wall joint that specializes in dumplings (apparently) and lunch specials (along with takeout). Cheap lunch specials $9.99 dine in. Twice cooked pork 回锅肉: 1/5 tbh I thought the waiter mistakenly brought my order bc it was unrecognizable. Not to mention it was extremely greasy. Chicken cutlet 鸡排 was very good and flavorful. Honestly I wish I got this. Potstickers were pan fried and were very good--homemade and lots of filling.“

“I can’t say enough about this restaurant, they’re special and they me and my family feel special. I came in late with my husband and 2 boys , the owner himself was about to leave , he took off her coat and gave us the biggest smile and we stayed. That’s the type of restaurant I’ll alway be loyal too ❤️❤️❤️❤️“

“Although the space is small and has limited seating, this place is my go-to for quick takeout, especially for a quick brunch on a busy weekend. The cashier greeted me warmly as soon as I walked in, super friendly staff! My dumplings and noodles were served piping hot and cooked to perfection.“

“Personal Rating: [5/5], Yelp Rating: [5/5] Best sheng jian bao I've had in NY by far and reasonably priced. Easily comparable to ones I've had in Asia that you have to wait in super long lines for. Slight wait if they're in the middle of making a new batch, but well worth it.“

“My family and I have been coming here for a few years now and it's in our rotation of Saturday family lunch spots. Crab Meat & Pork Soup Dumplings: My favorite soup dumplings! The skin is nice and thin (!!) and the filling is flavorful. Served with vinegar and ginger. Sauteed Strings Beans: I don't know how they make them but these beans are crispy and crunchy and bright green--beautiful. Eggplant w. Garlic Sauce: My gawd this is my favorite dish ever--have it with white rice and it is just *chef's kiss*. It is on the oily side but it's less oily than other places. Come out PIPING HOT and the eggplant is soft but not mushy. Yummm Crispy Whole Yellow Fish w. Chili Sauce: Something new that we tried but honestly very good and would get it again. It isn't too spicy, maybe just a lil kick. Fish is nice and crispy and fresh (not fishy tasting). Sauce also goes well with white rice. We're regulars here so the staff knows us and chit chats with us (Canto/Mando) but I have overheard them with other customers and they are equally as friendly. The space is better for smaller groups (4 people) but I have definitely seen them accommodate for groups of 10 or so.“

“Great crab and pork soup dumplings. The chicken and chili pepper with rice was hot and delicious. Lacking a bit of flavor in the beef chow fun, just look at the color. Too light! Nice staff, no wait for seats and in and out in about 1hr, will be back!“

Extremely worth it and all the food was very good! We will definitely be going here again!Parking: There’s a paid parking lot one block over on 39th“

“Can't speak for anything else but bubble tea, leaving review here as the restaurant doesn't show up for having bubble tea but the board outside the restaurant listed them as selling bubble tea.Selection was relatively standard for a non-dedicated bubble tea location (powdered tea flavors, Thai tea / taro / etc., less than 10 flavors), they get 4 stars though because the bubbles did not taste too stale despite being after 7p on a weekday. Not 5 stars though for volume of bubbles, as the amount of bubbles was less than expected. However in this particular zone of NYC with limited bubble tea near the W4th train station stop, not bad, dare I say your best nearby option if you need some nearby bubble tea before getting on the train.Did not have to wait long at all for boba take-out so giving service 5 stars.“

Both people I interacted with were very helpful and friendly and very apparently they care about what they do.Maybe the best In New York City! Also the restroom was immaculately cleaned which is nice.“

“What a deliciously serendipitous surprise! Okay, so…being freshly back in NYC full time, I decided to go for a jaunt, before a scheduled yoga class - stick with me here. As I’m making my way to a near by Target to browse and bide time, I’m suddenly inspired to detour from all plans made (Target included), go further downtown and walk 14th St from 8th Ave. You with me, still?I’m walking and I stop at a favorite haunt and I pick up a new deck - follow me for more on that later. I continue on, figuring I’d walk over to St. Mark’s because it’s been forever since I’ve been in that area. I’m strolling down Broadway and what do I stumble upon? “3 Times.” Curious me, I’m intrigued, especially because 3 is my favorite number. I go in, I sit and I am ENAMORED.Y’all! The service, the atmosphere, the FOOD! You have got to try their CHICKEN SOUP DUMPLINGS and the FRIED MINI BUNS - the latter comes with condensed milk. It. Was. SO GOOD! I washed it all down with a lot of their EIGHT TREASURES CHRYSANTHEMUM TEA - YUMMMMM! Mind you, I went to the grocery store this morning, but you know…life will lead you to pleasure when you let it. I will without a doubt be returning, and with an even larger appetite. If you end up popping over to 3 Times (Broadway/Union Sq), tell them Donny sent you. If you happen to see me there at the same time as you, say heylo! ?“

“i've had this one saved for the longest time and i'm glad i finally got to try it. on a road trip out of state and i figured it was on the way so we stopped by. i didn't have a lot of time to check it out but i love the location and the ambience of the restaurant. i wish we got to sit down but nonetheless the food was amazing. they handled our order quickly and they were so nice. totally added to our trip and i'm glad we got to stop by“
“This place is TAKE OUT only. We ordered cucumber with garlic sauce, beef noodle soup and crab meat xiao long boa. Cucumber had good better flavor towards the bottom where it was marinated. Overall very good and refreshing. Beef noodle soup was okay. Beef was a mixture of tender and dry. Good flavor though. Xiao long baos are a mouthful. They do have juice. Skin is handmade which give it a good texture. It was a little too thick. If you like that then this is your spot. If you live near by, I definitely recommend!“

“Dumplings are pretty good here. They have so many different kinds of dumplings and so many different varieties of colors which makes it kinda fun and pretty to see. The ambience is pretty cool and somewhere I would like to visit again. The service is pretty good but I also want to emphasize that it does get busy sometimes so I guess be prepared and maybe find an off time to go?... just a suggestion lol“

“Ordered in last night and the food was really great. Honestly I don't know how they were able to deliver the soup dumplings so hot. Those usually don't travel well, but these were hot and light & delicious. Chicken and eggplant were also hot and fresh and tasty. Special fried rice, scallion pancake and dumplings in peanut sauce were great as well. The best part was no MSG as I often get a headache from that. Friendly delivery person as well!“

“If you are checking out the New World Mall Food Court you absolutely MUST try Yozi. The food quality is incredible, In my opinion their soup dumplings are the best in the area, Their sheppard purse won ton soup is also a standout, And somehow only cost $6 ???? The prices here almost don't make sense. The prices are about half what you would expect them to be, Honestly I don't really know how they do it. Their tofu noodle soup is HUGE! ..And somehow its only $5.Inflation is no match for Yozi!If you love authentic Chinese food at an absolutely unbeatable prices you simply cannot do better than Yozi. : )“
